Dungeon Workers - Chapter 3 Chaos 1
Clang!
clang!
peng peng
“Kreruuurkkke”
A goblin jumped off and got stabbed in the chest upon landing on a random worker’s metal spear.
Sounds of clashing metals with swords and other weapons are heard, Workers fighting tirelessly in the city of total chaos.
Houses and buildings burning while peoples in different kinds running amok in every side and corner of the streets while others are dying at the hands of the monsters.
“LIGHT SQUAD!, Escort the residence out of the city!”.
“Tanks! hold them off while the casters are still preparing the magic circles!”
A man in his 30s with a roughly built body stood like an impregnable weapon pointing towards the sky issuing commands non-stop to the workers in squads.
He’s called Volrom, A human who’s currently leading the workers on their expedition on the dungeon a few whiles ago… He is also known for his outstanding reputation by clearing floors up till the 6th floor alone… due to this accomplishment, he was promoted as the leader/captain for the worker squads who just went inside the dungeon 5 years ago.
huff huff huff…
“Captain Volrom…, the alliance tower has lost all of its magic! and we werent able to ask for reinforcements from other near alliances.”. A demon-race man wearing a dark green robe with a fine built figure in his 20s anxiously reported to volrom.
“What…just what are the council’s doing at this kind of situation!” volrom spoke agitatedly.
“Captain!”
Another person arrived on the other side of volrom, sweating and catching his breath from running while trying to gather up the thoughts of the message.
“Hm?”
“The Councils are gone missing!”. the person said as his voice showed a hint of disbelief and unsureness.
“What…”. Volrom and the other person who also reported to him a little while ago couldn’t believe what they have heard and it’s like the world is spinning from their head.
While they were in the midst of surprised and disbelief, Screams of agony and pain was heard from the front lines as workers are burning and dying helplessly.
Volrom and the others turned their gaze to where the sound was…only to more surprised when they saw a frightening monster on fire smiling with sharp claws and sharp teeth looking at them pathetically.
“CAPTAIN! we can’t hold on any longer!”. a person on the front lines cried.
“T-This…”. Volrom’s rationality is slowly dissipating.
The monster in front of them is a legendary being who stood toe-toe with the strongest worker of their alliance back then! just calculating the men of 500 workers under his command who survived the dungeon and is now fighting restlessly…He couldn’t help but think their chance of survival is very close to 0.
ARRRGHHH!
AHHHH!
The terrifying monster was hacking and slashing workers left and right giving much pressure to volrom and scarred others with fear as others tried to ran away but end up dead instead first.
Without any time left to think… Volrom just decided to put all force to prioritize the people’s lives instead that way even if they all workers died…at least they were still able to do something.
After that contemplation, He issued commands one after one while magic casters just finished the enchantment circles and released a destructive magic explosion to the monsters while healers tending some injured workers and other people at the side.
“I can’t guarantee you life after this, but if we don’t do something our people will definitely die and there can be no city when there are no people…This is why we are here… this is why workers are born! Let us ENDURE this hell and DRINK lots of beer AFTER!”. Volrom can only think of increasing the morale of his men in this situation.
But of course, those men aren’t dumb to not know that with the legendary being’s existence here… there’s not even the slightest chance they will survive, But the thought of bond and pride of men gave them the confidence and strength to beat anyone in their way.
“YES!”
Half of the front lines withdrew to help escort the people still running amok on the streets while Volrom and the elite squad furiously cried and went rushed into the front lines.
But it was just mere to buy them time to escape.

Huff huff

‘splash’ ‘splash’
Meanwhile, Karel is currently running at his top speed through alleys panickly stepping on puddles of water giving off the splashing sounds.
‘Mother…mother…’. as he repeatedly thought inside his head anxiously.
His mother is bedridden for months and there is no way there’s even a slightest where she could defend herself.
Flashes of random memories of her mother smiling when she was still completely fine runs through his mind again and again as tears are starting to form at the bottom of his eyeballs just thinking what could possibly happen to his mother… and regrets starting to consume him by leaving his mother in the house all alone while he was enjoying and having fun outside.
huff huff
‘please be fine mother!’
When suddenly a green small goblin jumps towards him at his left side while the surprised look was seen on his face.
He closed his eyes tightly shut.
‘No…im not going to die here… mother!’
STABS-
After a few seconds, he thought he was a goner already but to the unexpected-He opened his eyes and saw a female elf worker stabs the goblin’s back through its chest with a sharp glinting sword where violet blood is endlessly dripping down to the ground.
“Are you okay there little boy?”
