Leito smiled with satisfaction and grinned with both arms folded across in front of him.

“Wait… are you telling you don’t really have ice powers!?” Ye Qing was definitely surprised by this revelation.

Lan Ranyan looke at Ye Qing and said, “I know all five elements… wind, water, fire, earth, wood, but I never confirmed nor denied that I am an Ice spell user…” she said.

“You trickster! When will you tell us?!” Ye Qian stamped her feet in annoyance

“I only answered that I use my fire spells for cooking and making light, I never verified that I have Ice spells…” she shrugged as if she knew nothing about her title as the Snow Queen

“Well, it’s good to look at and cold to touch, plus, this gives me a better hold on identifying the location of the other one where I get my Ice from…” Lan Ranyan said.

As soon as the right fist neared her face, Lan Ranyan disappeared and reappeard behind him with her right hand about to touch Leito’s back.

Sensing this, Leito twisted his body in a daigonal manner to avoid her hands and planted his left foot to the ground to stop the momentum and make a 180 degree turn to face her. As he did, he saw Lan Ranyan disappear again and reappear on top of him.

He saw Lan Ranyan with her hands raised high and a boulder of ice, as he saw this scene he tried to move backward by using his right foot to jump away. As he jumped back, he felt something behind his back and twisted his body again. as he checked what it was, he saw a buch of Icicles flying past by him.

When he successfully evaded, the same icicles disappeared and reappeared in front of him.

Seeing this, Leito gritted his teeth as he tried to land and stop his forward advance using his left foot to the ground and start an evasive maneuver by bending backward.

He felt that his left foot didn’t touch the ground but slippery ice. As he slipped, he felt two icicles graze his chest armor.

He the used both of his hands to balance himself as he fell backwards and then twisted his body to complete his reverse somersault and landed on all fours.

“Shi-” he thought to himself as he remembered the large ice boulder and immediately used all his limbs to propel himself away from his location. as he did he heard a loud crash.

when he landed again he felt something amiss and looked down, he saw an icicle shooting upward from where he was and performed another somersault backwards.

When he landed the fourth time he saw from the sidelines that Ye Qing and Ye Qian were already sitting in crosslegs, eating snacks from a pouch as Lan Ranyan reappeared beside them and started to sit beside the two as well as they started to discuss.

“Hey were not-” before he could finish, he saw Lan Ranyan wiggling her left fingers in his direction as she continued to grab a few snacks from the pouch using her right hands without looking at him.

A few more icicles started to appear from the ground moving upwards. As he continued on evading twice and then this continued as Lan Ranyan kept wriggling her fingers.

At the trio’s side, they were already watching a “monkey show” as Leito continued to somersault backwards.

“So, where do those Ice come from if you’re not casting them to begin with?” Ye Qian asked Lan Ranyan whuke munching

“Underground at the well in the desert…” Lan Ranyan answered nonchalantly

“I see, so that’s why you don’t want others to go there, since it’s where you’re Ice comes from… But that’s under the desert.. how come there’s Ice and it’s four kingdoms away from here?… how do you do it?” Ye Qing asked this time.

“I left the other Dragon Eye of frost to see it, The Dragon Eyes of Frost’s special properties is to look from one artifact to the other in accordance to distance. Though it does take too much of my mana as I feel my energy draining in my body-” she answered

“Hey! Can we focus on our fight!” Leito interrupted Lan Ranyan by shouting as he continued to somersault since icicles kept on sprouting from the ground

As Ye Qing saw this, he unconciously shivered and covered his “jewels” with both hands.

“What are you cringing for? It not like I’ll attac-” as Lan Ranyan was about to finish speaking, Leito shouted again

Hearing this, Lan Ranyan stood up and then walked slowly with a blank expression on her face as she approached Leito.

When she was in front of him, Leito kept cursing her while he was sprawled and pinned to the ground.

Hearing another curse directed at her, Lan Ranyan flinched as she waved her left index finger in the downwards on air in a slow slicing motion.

“Good…” after speaking, Lan Ranyan opened her closed fists making the icicles and ice casing disappear and as she held both of her hands together in front, the bloody fingers reattached themselves and the puncture wounds on his arms and feet disappeared.

Seeing this Leito was aghast with shock.

“Follow…. and sit…” Lan Ranyan said as she turned her back.

Leito stood there not moving, thinking if everything that happened was real, as he recalled the pain, he knew it was.

Lan Ranyan paused after walking a few steps forward when she noticed that Leito was not following.

Leito saw this and immediately moved to follow like a good pet.

Lan Ranyan smiled a bit and continued walking towards the two Ye’s.

As they sat down, Lan Ranyan continued speaking.

“Where was I… Oh! yes, so, It drains my energy in transferring them here aside from focusing on it… Using space, I “slice” the icicles on the ceiling of the cave and then using gravity and the “portals” of space, I increase their momentum and then have them reappear in the location near me. The same goes for the boulders, I gather their momentum first before transferring them over… Why there’s ice in the cave? well that’s a secret….” Lan Ranyan said

“Just like that “portal” game?” Ye Qian asked

“Exactly!” Lan Ranyan answered

“H-how many seconds does it take for it to take reach that speed?” Leito asked curiosly and kept silent afterwards.

“It takes approximately 9.8 seconds before it’s ready…” she answered as she looked at him with a better gaze than before and offering some snacks.

“If it takes that long, does it mean you already prepare and premeditate enemy movements?” asked Ye Qing as he grabbed a few snacks as well

“Not really, sometimes I can only look and predict actions by 2.5 seconds, everything else is preparing before hand which consumes my energy.” she said.

“So, that’s why it takes time for you to attack, it’s not the casting time but the waiting time…” Ye Qing suddenly had a revelation. “And after that, your attacks “snowball” since you have everything prepared in advance including predicting your opponents movement.”

“I reverse time from what it was initially before the damage, on small areas and in a limited amout of time that passed, sometimes I hide it using healing, I do know a bit of first aid though, using wood magic, hence the green aura… just for show” she said.

“That’s time magic too…. Anyway… Leito?” she looked at him again.

“Ah! Yes! Sorry! It was because I’m checking the Limits of the “Babel towers”.” he said.

“What do you mean?” Lan Ranyan asked

“How should I say it… I love the discovery part of the game as well, and when I read your post way back regarding “resonance stones” or “Soul stones” I started investigating it.” he said

“Wow! you’re a stalker then!” Ye Qian happily announced.

“No! It’s a coincidence that you guys were here!” Leito answered in his defense.

“Don’t worry, I believe you…” Lan Ranyan said

“About not being a stalker?” Leito clarified

“Yes… I don’t think you’ll follow us from the city and attack here when you are that skillfull.” she said

Ye Qian harrumphed, she thought she found another thing to gossip on but ended uo that it was just a coincidence

“You were saying?…” Ye Qing asked

“Ah! yes, I thought that if the “Soul stones” are a really where our conciousness lies, moving too far away from any “babel tower” would cause us to stop functioning…” Leito said

“Does it?” Ye Qian interruptted, giddy to find new information.

“Yes, it does happen and our bodies fall asleep as we are logged out of the game… and then you would sleep walk when you’re offline back to a safe location…” Leito said

“What do you mean and?” Leito tried to feign ignorance

“Tell the whole findings! ….or it will fall off on its own!” Lan Ranyan said as she looked at Leito and then moved her eyes downward, causing Leito to flinch and grab his beloved “jewels”.”

“Okay… okay…! just keep your fingers from moving.” he said as he was warily looking at her hands.

Leito started explaining that whenever there are players trying to catch him, he uses his pheromones to induce them to do his bidding and lead them onwards, towards the outer perimeters of the marshlands, after a day, they would comeback like sleep walking and fall down, once that happens, the players would wake up and then, as if they just logged in, continue walking back the nearest city but of course they felt weary and tired.

Sometimes it would take them a day, while some players would be gone for 8-10 days before coming back. He then assumed that the maximum time a player could go out would be 5-7 days as the return time would then be longer.

Lan Ranyan nodded and said “Are these players lured here by you?”

“You can say that, they were looking for me in the first place, and I did post at the forums that I’ll be staying at these marshlands for some discovery oppurunities.” Leito said

“Why would they be looking for you?” Ye Qian asked curiosly

“Well, he he he, my pheromones can do other things aside from inducing rage.. like fear, greed and lust…” he said

“Sometimes if players, piss me off, I induce them to lust… and well, you know, two male players don’t usually take it lightly and will be very unforgiving… he he he…” he added while grinning

“Despicable…” Lan Ranyan commented

“That’s just too low man… tsk, tsk… no wonder they would come after you…” Ye Qing said while lamenting for the poor unfortunate souls.

“Now, don’t get any wrong ideas! I’m not into that stuff, But It’s fun teasing them while looking at how angry they get after realizing what happened.” Leito added in defense

“Okay, so, If you do induce them and they get affected by the limitations of the “tower of babel” after a certain distance… how come you aren’t affected to say the least?” Lan Ranyan asked.
