Earth's Alpha Prime - Chapter 265: Plans for the Future
Jay’s expression turned serious as he directed his words primarily at the other members of his family, leaving out his siblings, who already knew of what he was about to say.
“You’re all aware that once the System fully assimilates with Earth, everyone aged 18 and above will awaken an Innate Talent that aligns most with their affinity. These Talents are ranked from one to ten, with ten being the highest and most powerful. Essentially, the higher the grade, the stronger the abilities someone can manifest.
Normally, these grades are fixed and almost impossible to alter. But there are a few rare ways to upgrade them, and my own ability happens to be one of those. In exchange, I gain access to their abilities, which is a significant reason I’ve been able to grow strong enough to survive in the Trial World.”
Jay’s eyes briefly shifted to Kay and Qew before he continued, “I’ve already used this ability on Kay and Qew, which is why they’ve been able to unlock and use their Innate Talents even without being part of the Trial Program or before the System fully assimilated with Earth. And it’s not just them—Moro, Esha, Jon, Ravan, Rahu, and Kethu can also access their Talents now.”
As Jay’s explanation sank in, a buzz of awe and curiosity spread across the room. Lokesh, Jay’s cousin, leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “That’s incredible! Jay, can you give me early access to my Innate Talent too? I really want to see what my abilities would be!”
Jay couldn’t help but smile, amused by his cousin’s eagerness. “I get it, Lokesh. I really do. But it’s not just about unlocking new powers—there are risks involved.”
Lokesh’s determination didn’t waver. “I know there’s more to it, and I’m willing to handle the risks!”
Jay’s expression softened as he addressed the reality of the situation. “I appreciate your enthusiasm, but there’s more at stake than you think. Originally, I wanted to help you all unlock your Talents early so you could become familiar with your abilities before the Assimilation. But doing that would automatically register you in either the Beta or Gamma Programs—and even with my strength, I can’t guarantee everyone’s safety in the Trial World. That’s why I’d rather you all wait until the Gamma Program officially begins in about two months and twenty days.”
The room quieted as Lokesh’s excitement dimmed slightly at the prospect of waiting so long. His mother, Jay’s aunt, gently placed a hand on his shoulder and spoke with concern, “Listen to Jay, Lokesh. It’s not worth rushing into something dangerous. We’d rather you wait and be safe.”
Lokesh nodded, though the frustration in his eyes was clear. He knew his mother was right, but the urge to join the Beta Program with his cousins still tugged at him. He kept his thoughts to himself, but he fully intended to speak with Jay in private later, hoping to convince him to reconsider.
Jay’s gaze lingered on his cousin, sensing the unspoken determination behind Lokesh’s eyes. He knew it was only a matter of time before Lokesh would approach him privately to push for early access to his abilities.
But for then, Jay set those thoughts aside and refocused on the task at hand.
Taking a deep breath, Jay steered the conversation back to the strategic matters at hand. “Alright, let’s break down the responsibilities,” he said, his voice clear and decisive as he directed his attention toward each family member.
Turning to Olivia first, he said, “You’ll be in charge of overseeing the S.E.E.D. technology release tomorrow. This launch is critical, and we can’t afford any hiccups. Make sure everything runs smoothly, and be prepared to handle any complications that arise on the spot. Your experience and precision are exactly what we need to ensure this goes off without a hitch.”
Olivia nodded, her expression resolute. She was no stranger to high-stakes situations, and Jay’s trust in her capability was well-placed. The release of the S.E.E.D. products was more than just a business move—it marked the beginning of the next technological shift that would impact billions.
Jay then turned his attention to Qew. “You’ll be heading up the Alter Reality Project. I know we’ve already discussed this, but I want to reiterate its importance. I need a prototype ready in a month from now, fully tested and optimized for launch.”
Qew grinned, already bubbling with ideas as she glady accepted her assignment. She knew the importance of the project and was excited by the challenge. Alter Reality was her brainchild, and she had the opportunity to bring it to life in a way that would change the world.
Jay then shifted his focus to his father, Ankith, his uncle, Umesh, and his cousin, Lokesh. “The three of you will be responsible for overseeing Nav Yuga’s operations. With these emerging technologies, we have an opportunity to position Nav Yuga not just as a leader in the Indian market but as a major player on the global stage.
Use this momentum to expand the company’s reach and solidify its position. With the surge of interest in these advancements, now is the time to ensure Nav Yuga thrives.”
Ankith and Umesh exchanged looks of agreement, both men nodding with determination. They had spent years building Nav Yuga, and that new phase represented a significant opportunity to elevate their father’s legacy. Lokesh, despite his earlier disappointment, straightened up, eager to prove himself within the family business and take on more responsibility.
Lastly, Jay turned to Kay. “Kay, you’ll be the bridge between F.U.T.U.R.E. Inc. and Nav Yuga. This collaboration is key to everything we’re trying to achieve. You’ll need to manage both sides and ensure they work seamlessly together. You’ll also be the public face of this partnership, representing both companies as we push forward. Your role is crucial in maintaining trust and stability on both ends.”
Kay gave a firm nod, fully understanding the weight of his assignment. He knew how delicate these alliances could be and that his ability to maintain balance and manage public relations would be essential for their success.
With everyone’s roles clearly defined, Jay’s tone softened. “Now that everything’s settled, let’s dig into breakfast. I’ll need a nap soon after all this,” he added with a hint of humor, easing the atmosphere.
The tension that had filled the room gradually dissolved as everyone at the table relaxed. Lighthearted conversation flowed easily, with a mix of casual chatter and laughter as they enjoyed their breakfast together, before diving into their respective tasks ahead.
