Earth’s Greatest Magus - Chapter 2161: Rage
“What have you done…” Her voice was a mere whisper, laden with disbelief and sorrow.
The sight of Shinta’s lifeless body left the Ouroboros Queen trembling with rage. Her face contorted with grief and fury, she stared at the pale, cold skin of her granddaughter, barely able to process the words the viceroy had spoken.
Her emotions surged, and her aura intensified. The very air in the grand chamber vibrated with her wrath, and a palpable tension gripped everyone present.
“You… are going to pay for this!!” The Ouroboros Queen’s aura surged, the icy chill permeating the air as she prepared to unleash her fury. She took a step forward, ready to exact her revenge, when a figure appeared in her path—a mysterious masked grand magus, radiating the formidable power of three cosmos realms.
All the grand magus in the chamber rose to their feet, their eyes fixed on the Queen, awaiting her command. The tension was palpable, the air thick with the anticipation of a battle that could tear the conclave apart.
The Viceroy’s voice cut through the tension “Queen Silviana, are you rebelling against your patriarch?” The grand chamber fell into an uneasy silence. Some grand magus were visibly enraged, ready to lash out; But some hesitated, recognizing the gravity of the situation. Even the wolf grand magus, their fury barely contained, held back.
Breaking the silence, King Severus the Wise stepped forward. His voice was calm, almost soothing, as he addressed the assembly. “Let us not be rash… With all of us gathered here, think of the destruction we would bring upon this city.”
His words hung in the air, a plea for sanity amidst the chaos. All eyes turned to the Ouroboros Queen, waiting for her decision. In that charged moment, a sudden spatial distortion rippled through the room. Gasps and exclamations erupted as a portal materialized. “A spatial gate!” someone shouted, and out stepped Emery, his presence commanding immediate attention.
He was flanked by Annara and the two Ouroboros grand magus. The figure of Grand Magus Kodiak, bleeding and missing an arm, was held firmly as a hostage. Emery’s appearance sent a shockwave through the assembly.
Emery’s eyes swept across the room, taking in the many grand magus faces now focused intently on him. His gaze finally settled on the wooden coffin near him. The atmosphere was thick with tension.
One of the Faulen grand magus, incensed by the sight of the heavily wounded Grand Magus Kodiak, moved to intervene. However, a single, intimidating look from the Ouroboros Queen halted him in his tracks.
Emery walked purposefully to the center of the room, step by step, his heart pounding as he approached the wooden coffin. The room was silent, every grand magus watching.
He finally reached the coffin and gazed inside, there she was.
The sight of her nearly broke him. Behind the disheveled silvery hair and the unnaturally pale skin, her face was unmistakable. It was Shinta.
His mind struggled to process the scene before him. Denial surged through him. “No…” he whispered, his voice barely audible. This couldn’t be the way to be reunited with his daughter. His heart felt as though it were being torn apart, a crushing pain that he could scarcely endure.
Annara, who had followed behind Emery, threw herself onto the cold corpse, crying out in anguish. Her sobs echoed through the silent chamber, amplifying the weight of the moment.
Emery’s body trembled as a rage began to build within him, threatening to consume him entirely. His fists clenched, and it felt as if his very being was ready to explode from the sheer intensity of his emotions.
Suddenly, a voice cut through the chaos in his mind.
<It might not be her… it can’t be, go check it out.>
It was the voice of the Ouroboros Queen, carrying a whisper of hope that pierced through Emery’s fury. Without a moment’s hesitation, Emery swiftly grabbed Annara and the coffin as he opened another spatial gate.
“No one fucking move!!” the queen declared, her voice ringing with authority and unwavering command. The grand magus in the room, despite their varied allegiances and emotions, froze in place, as Emery began to disappear into the portal.
The Queen turned toward the viceroy, her eyes blazing with fury. “Is this really what the patriarch wanted?! Prove it or I will flatten this whole city to the ground!!”
The threat sent ripples of tension through the room. Many of the elders shifted uncomfortably, and the masked grand magus seemed ready to engage, his posture tensed for a fight. However, the viceroy raised a hand to halt him once again.
“Alright,” the viceroy said, his voice calm but edged with steel. “If you don’t believe me, you all can follow me to see the patriarch.”
The viceroy’s confidence was unshaken. Only the faction leaders were allowed to accompany him; proxies and the wolf bloodlines were instructed to remain in the grand chamber.
This exclusive group included King Corlies Targaryen, King Severus the Wise, the Shaman Queen of the Jafar clan, the Emerald Elder from the Boa faction, the Kruk King, the Giant Monarch of the Mauritius clan, the Ouroboros Queen, Roland Faulen the viceroy, and the masked grand guardian. Ten figures, all three cosmos grand magus, head toward the Faulen sacred area where the patriarch resided.
The journey to the sacred area was steeped in silence, each step laden with the weight of the moment. The air was thick with anticipation and unspoken questions.
They arrived at the imposing metal door, its surface intricately engraved with multiple serpent heads. The viceroy stepped forward, his voice echoing in the silent corridor,
“My Lord, all the leaders are here, please grant us your wisdom.”
An eerie silence followed, the air thick with anticipation. At that moment, the Ouroboros Queen received a message from Emery.
[You are right, it’s not her… also… there is something else you should know…]
Hearing Emery’s words, the Queen’s eyes widened with relief and resolve. She suddenly bowed slightly toward the door and said, “My Lord, please forgive my transgression.”
Her unexpected act of deference startled the other leaders. But before anyone could react, the Queen charged toward the metal door. The mysterious masked grand magus swiftly moved to block her path, but the Giant Monarch was prepared. With a swift and powerful tackle, he intercepted the masked figure, allowing the Queen to press forward unimpeded.
With a deafening blast, the Queen channeled her immense power into the door.
BAMMM!!!
The metal door was torn apart, its fragments scattering like leaves in a storm.
