Electra 1 How It Begin - 3 Chapter 3
It was 12:13 when something stated to shine in the back garden. I thought it was a car, but the light got brighter. I went to have a look and someone was in the light. I wanted to know more so I went closer and closer until I was face to face with the person. He was a normal human. Brown hair, green eyes and tall. I still couldn’t understand the light. Then it just disappeared. I went back to bed and didn’t think any more of it.
The next morning I woke up at 4:45 and sneaked out. I had some money and went to the shop to get breakfast. It was about 5:50 when Blades called. “Is mum and dad still at home?” I asked.
“No, they left 20 minutes ago. Where should I meet you? The school is expecting us still.” Blades replied.
“They are, so we are going. I’m coming back now.”
“How will you get in? Mum and dad took all the keys in the house.”
“In the house maybe, but I have my survival bag, which if you remember has 2 spear keys.” I reminded him. I got home and got Blades breakfast and got his uniform ready. He wasn’t due to come to my school yet but we already had a spear jumper for him. “How did mum and dad manage to get the school to agree to this?” I asked. “Don’t know I have a present for you though.” And Blades handed me a card and a new bracelet. There was also chocolate, earrings and a Primark voucher. “Thank you. I didn’t think mum and dad would want you to get me anything after yesterday.” I hugged him and put my new bracelet on. The one my parents gave me would no longer be needed. The one Blades gave me was blue and black with a lightning bolt in the middle. At 7:45 we went to school and went straight up to the library. I had to see if an email was sent to all the teachers about Blades. Otherwise I would be the one sending the emails. I did send out emails to all teachers in the end just to make sure. Some of my closest friends got me presents and I had cards from some family I had never met at home. Surprisingly, school was normal. No one asked questions and Blades did great in all my lessons. I thought it was fun having my little brother there with me. For a while everything was normal. Then I felt time slow down. Then everything stopped. I thought it was my imagination but it wasn’t. Either I was super-fast, or time had completely stopped. My answer came when the person I had seen the night before appeared. He came out of the light this time and I could see him properly. He had brown hair and a slither of green in it. He had green eyes and had a snake around his neck. The snake came out and bit me. Flash backs started, heart ache and pain from the last three years, the destruction of my house that I first lived in. I saw a storm and lightning hitting it me, with me in the middle controlling the storm. There were four other boys there too. After that I was back in class. On my left wrist were two circle marks where I was bitten. Then they turned into two snakes. One was black one was yellow. I couldn’t hear anyone but I could see. I didn’t know what had happened or what to do, so I ran. When I was scared or confused I ran. Somewhere no one could find me. Ok, Blades could find me, but no one else could. I ran straight out of school to my parents work lab. I had been told never to go there, but I didn’t know what else to do. It was a big white building with double automatic sliding doors. There were three security cameras by each door. I walked into the reception are to see that it was white and black leather sofas and posh expensive things. I went to the desk and asked a woman for Mr and Mrs Storm. I told her that I was their daughter and she told me to wait on a sofa. A few minutes later my parents came to see me. The anger on my mum’s face was clear for anyone to see. They took me to their office. It was like a smaller version of reception only with yellow and blue instead of white and black. “What are you doing here?” Shouted my mum. “I need to ask you a question. And I need the honest truth.” I replied. “What is it? Why are these here and what do they mean?” I asked.
“You drew on your arm, end of.” My mum said and told me to go back to school. I didn’t draw it. So how had it got there?
