Emperor of the Universe - Chapter 4 Qin Lan's Master
Qin Lan looked down upon his sword, and wiped the blood off of it.
Sigh “I wish I could fight stronger beasts!” Qin Lan complained to himself. Although it looked like he went all out in his fight with the War-Hog in actuality he only used 40 percent of his power.
Sighing he prepared to head out. He was about to raise his hand to let the hunters know it was time to go back, until he saw stones covered up by moss behind a tree. He motioned for the hunting squad to follow him, as he stealthily moved towards the stone buildings door.
He motioned for the squad to stop. He reached for the door knob his hand shaking, because he didn’t know what to expect what lies behind that door. Qin Lan slowly opened the door, trying to be sneaky, but to no avail. The door creaked loudly. As he saw what lay behind the door, he displayed an expression of shock. Qi training manuals were stacked on bookshelves in a neatly decorated room, everything clean and tidy.
“You guys wait out here.” “Yes young master.” the hunters said in unison with a slight bow. Qin Lan looked around the room and found an old man sitting in a desk looking at him with a surprised expression. “hmm strange I didn’t think I would find someone like me here.” the old man muttered under his breath.
The old man stood up, and an earthen yellow aura suddenly appeared around him. Looking at the man “He can use the primal energies like me, and he is much more powerful.” Qin Lan mused to himself.
The man chuckled, as though he heard something funny. Qin Lan suddenly felt as though this man was crazy. He looked right at Qin Lan, and said “I am quite powerful indeed.” the old man looked at Qin Lan straight in the eyes, his gaze alone seemed like it could pierce through his soul, and kill him instantly. Cold sweat permeated Qin Lans back as he tried to move back only to find out that he couldn’t move.
The old man looked at Qin Lan seriously, and said “You have good talent, would you consider being my disciple?” the man questioned.
Qin Lan looked stunned, and thought to himself “With such a powerful master, I could become the strongest person on the entire planet!”
The old man looked at Qin Lan waiting for a reply.
Thud! Qin Lan’s head smacked the ground as he know-towed three times, and said “Disciple greets his master!” Qin Lan said. A smile blossomed on the old mans face.
Soon the silver haired old man stopped smiling and said “Although I can teach you personally, and help you make breakthroughs, fighting life or death battles really helps on break through.” the old man said in a stern voice. ” I want you to experience two of these life or death battles every week, as for the rest of the week train hard, and increase your power.”
“As for know” the old man said “pick out a training manual for Qi, maneuvering techniques, and a body art.” Qin Lan looked at his teacher, confused “I understand why I need to train my Qi, and my maneuvering, but why do I need to practice body arts?” Qin Lan questioned. His teacher looked at him seriously, and said “When one cultivated Qi too much, their body can’t handle all the energy, and they end up dying as a result, but if you train your body along with your Qi, you will only continue to grow stronger.”
Looking slightly annoyed by all the questions he said “No more questions! Just find a technique that suits you, and start training already.”
Qin Lan moved his gaze over to the books and manuals his eyes gleaming in anticipation.
He looked at many powerful techniques, some that allowed him to destroy mountains, and crush the heavens.
He suddenly stopped. Qin Lan felt a calling of some sort. Curious, Qin Lan walked towards the origin of that calling. He stopped in front of a tattered, worn out book. he pulled it out of the shelf it was called “Soaring Dragon”, and read inside the cover, and saw it had 9 parts. this technique can train Qi, maneuvering techniques and a body art.
Qi training had 3 stages them being: Jindan stage- when your soul and consciousness become solidified, increasing your lifespan by 10,000 years, however only 1 in 10,000 people could reach this level. The second stage was the Deity stage, which allows you to have a tough immortal body and fuses your soul and consciousness together, but what was astonishing was that only 1 in 10,000,000,000 people can reach this stage. The final stage was the Godking stage, which allowed someone to fuse willpower, Qi, Consciousness, and one’s soul into one increasing the users power by leaps and bounds, but it would be rare for one to pop up in a crowd of 10,000,000,000,000 deities.
However this was only for humans, for magical beasts it was far easier, and this “Soaring Dragon” manual allows one to change their very genetics, in 3 transformations. This art allows you to become 8,000,000 times stronger than your base form.
The first form is as a normal human being whose power has been raised by 20 times.
The second transformation allows scales and spikes to grow on you body increasing you power by 200 times the first form.
The third form makes you grow scales, and spikes on your body, and adds razor sharp wings that allow you to fly, and grows a tail, that demolishes everything in its path, and it amplifies your power 2,000 times the second form.
However only people suited earth, fire, and wind Qi would be able to use this. But Qin Lan was determined to use this
Qin Lan’s master looked over at him in shock. “Jeez! This kid is only 10 years old, and he already has such strong willpower, not even some Deities have as much as him!” the old man said to himself in shock.
“I must train this young lad well, so he becomes powerful.” the old man muttered to himself, grinning wildly at the same time.
