Empire Of Jadase: New Day - Chapter 35
As the Frigate travels through space, Mozti looked at the window and saw three planets full of fire and smoke on its surface. This kind of scenario made Mozti’s heart to feel pain and melancholy. He thought, being a soldier is like protecting your Nation from your enemies and killing them. But now, he thought wrong – it is not about protecting, defending or killing. It is about life – a life that you can never be predicted. Being a Jadasian or some kind of beings in this Universe, life might be harsh but they need to survive – they need to kill.
“We’re arriving within 30 minutes,” Deisham said to Mozti coming out of the cockpit of the Frigate after he had given the Captain his orders. “Prepare yourself, child.” He added casually and sat down beside Frazco.
“I made up my mind and….I’m ready.” Mozti said closing his eyes after some time not waiting for Deisham’s reply.
“That’s good, let us see if how many orphans you can slaughter.” Deisham looked at him mockingly and made a slight smirk on his face.
Mozti didn’t have the courage to refute with this old bastard in front of him. He knows, repudiating with Deisham, will only bring out the worst case scenario. Instead, he just opened his eyes to look at him coldly and closed it again not minding what will Deisham would have to tell him after this.
“What are you looking at, brat?!” Deisham shouted at him agitated.
“Can’t you zip your mouth for just a second?” Rago told Deisham with a clenched fist. Thus, making him have the courage to say those words towards him.
“You wanna die?!” Deisham suddenly appeared in front of Rago with an unsheathed sword on his right hand.
“Gasp!” Rago gasp after he saw the sword in front of him.
“Do you have the courage to thrust it?” This time Mozti opened his eyes to look at Deisham coldly, speaking like he doesn’t care at the scene unfolding in front of him. He doesn’t care about himself being insulted, but with his friends he cannot stand idly in the corner – his mouth is itching to say those insults to Deisham.
“Are you threatening me?” Deisham began to put the sharp edge of his sword 1 cm. away from Rago’s neck.
“Hey…..I’m the victim in here! Don’t p…. push him to do that th…. thing!” Rago looked at Mozti pitifully with shaking toes. He regretted saying those words towards this monster facing him with his sword on his neck. He then began to sweat profusely.
“Don’t worry Rago, his scared.” Mozti said towards Rago casually.
“Okay then.” Deisham said coolly thrusting the sword on Rago’s neck in a slow motion. 1cm…..75mm….30mm…..25….mm. At 25mm. Rago gulped the saliva gathering in his throat from the pressure he is experiencing. This is already a matter of life and death. He doesn’t know what to do at this moment.
“P….please, I’m just j….joking before.” Gulping his saliva again for the 5th time. “Mozti, say so…. something….. no, say sorry.” Rago looked at Mozti full of sweat. He is very horrified by the fact that the sword is only 15mm. away from cutting his head – this a fucking horrible day for him.
Mozti didn’t say anymore nor made a single movement. He is watching everything with a raised eyebrow and casual expression is plastered on his face while Rago is already on the brink of losing his consciousness. He cannot take the scene anymore and he felt very unfortunate that this had to be the result of his words.
Only 5mm. left before the sharp edge of the sword is on the brink of cutting Rago’s neck. When they suddenly heard a shocked voice coming from the cockpit.
“My Lord, someone wants to board the spacecraft. She was sent by the First Prince to get Mozti.”
“Okay.” Deisham answered him casually pulling out his sword on Rago’s neck. He then looked at Mozti with a smirk. “Thankfully someone is here.” He said and went back to the sit he was sitting.
“Sighhhhhhh!” Rago gave out a very long deep sigh. He is very thankful that he had survived this tragedy.
“In reality, you cannot do it because you’re this.” Mozti made a fucking sign towards Deisham.
“You!” Deisham howled furiously looking at Mozti full of killing intent unsheathing his swords hurriedly. But before he can fully unsheathe them, a very gorgeous blue-skinned woman appeared beside Frazco near the doorway of the Frigate. She is wearing a black armored space suit that is perfectly fitted to her curvaceous figure.
“My Lord, I am Evolet Scarlet Friet, Captain of Suntres Capital Ship. The First Prince, instructed me to escort the Fleet Commander of the Ganivade FCS towards the 2nd Planet.” She said with a respectful salutation towards Deisham. Laquadia knew that this Jadasians cannot live in the same sky and war will always occur every time they are together. That’s why he needs to do what is needed to do.
“You?!” Mozti said surprised to see this woman again after that last aggravating encounter they had.
“Whom do you expect?” Evolet replied to him turning his eyes heavenwards. She then walks towards him sexily, as if she is ready to pounce her prey.
When Mozti saw the behavior Evolet is doing, he then began to back out 5 meters away from her. Constantly making a distance of 5 meters away from her for over 2 minutes, making everyone inside the Frigate to witness a cat chasing a dog.
“Can’t you just follow me, idiot?!” Evolet shouted at him agitated.
“Follow you?! Huh, in your dreams!” Mozti shouted back to her with an apprehensive expression.
“It’s the order of the First Prince, donkey!”
“You’re just going to exploit me!”
“Pfffft!” Senus reacted disbelievingly looking at Mozti with a puzzled expression. “What kind of exploitation will it be, Mozti?” He added suppressing himself not to laugh.
“Enough of this nonsense! Follow her, brat!” Deisham shouted at them at the top of his lungs. He made three long strides towards Mozti grabbing his left hand deliberately towards Evolet. “Bring him out of here, slave!” Deisham said full of scornful expression when he looked at Evolet.
Mozti stopped what he is doing when he heard the word ‘slave’ that came out of Deisham’s mouth.
‘Slave? Isn’t she an ILI?’ He said to himself and looked at Deisham coldly. He was then in front of Evolet when she grabbed his left hand pulling him out of the cabin of the Frigate towards the exit – where her spacecraft was attached. Mozti didn’t have the luxury of time to speak to Evolet when he saw her reddened face. Obviously, this woman is on the verge of eruption. It is better to shut up rather than to be executed by this angered woman. They were then followed by Frazco, Senus, and Rago changing their spacecraft going towards the 2nd planet.
20 minutes of traveling into space quietly; Mozti, Evolet and the others are now finally entering the atmosphere of the 2nd planet without any problem. They were then greeted by thick black smoke and raging fire coming from the Cities of the Empire of Durtan. As it’s home planet, the structures of the cities are made from luxurious materials and are surrounded by beautiful gardens and boulevards at its finest. But now, the buildings are being engulfed by ferocious fire all over, black smoke can be seen coming out on every window. Some of the structures of the cities are on the verge of collapsing. The surrounding areas and boulevards are now full of desiccated corpses of both Durtians and animals. Foul odors of death are now mixed with the wind coming out from this corpses. Some of the Jadasians can be seen removing and piling those dead bodies and some of the remains to be burned.
Piles upon piles of dead bodies can be seen in the surroundings when the Frigate they are in, landed in one of the major cities of the 2nd planet. Mozti is shocked at what he is seeing; ten dead bodies of Durtian children are being dragged to be piled together with the others. One of the children has a bulging eye protruding out on his left eye socket. It also has a very long cut on his chest all the way to his abdomen. The other children have a deep wound on their necks, obviously, they had been killed using a very sharp sword behind their back. Mozti cannot sustain to see this kind of scenario being played in front of him. This is not what he expected to see – he thought it might be better than this, but it is worst that he can discern.
“You have to let yourself to be more familiar with this.” Evolet told him when she saw the shock written on his face. “This is way much better than the things I recognized.” She added casually looking straight into his eyes.
‘Way much better? What is much better than this?’ Mozti said to himself disapprovingly. If this is better what is worse or even worst than this – both elderlies and children being tortured?
‘Am I really a Jadasian?’ He asked himself of his identity aghast. If he is a Jadasian, then that means he might have to do it also. No, he is going to do it…..soon.
After some time, they are now walking in the central region of the city. Prison camps can be seen all over the surroundings. Both children and elderlies are locked in the same camps where the extreme sun rays inundated their scales. As a reptile, they are cold-blooded beings, thereupon the sun heat made their scales to dry up. Roughly 75% of their scales around their body began to crack covering their body with blood. Some of the children and elderlies are now shaking from the intense pain that they are experiencing. Mozti doesn’t know if how many days does these Durtans are being exposed into this dire situation. He is now on the verge of changing his decision on killing these children. His heart is being subdued when he saw this kind of sinister status these Durtians have.
“They are our enemies, and if it will happen to us. Would you think they’ll be too softhearted like that expression plastered on your face?” Evolet said to him looking at the Durtians inside the prison camps without any hint of sympathy or even mercy. “Grow up and learn from all the things in front of you. Be thankful it is not you.” She added moving at faster pace leaving Mozti and the others behind.
Mozti’s attention is still glued towards those sympathetic children and elderlies. He cannot prevent himself from asking about his identity over and over again.
“Mozti, let’s go.” Frazco said tapping his shoulder lightly giving him heads up to face the situation tougher than before.
3 more minutes of strolling the prison camp. They are now walking inside the execution ground where there are thousands of Durtians from children to elderlies are lined up facing 15 Durtians that are being chained all over their body. Their eyelids are being clipped by a metal like string into their eyebrows so that they can see all the scenarios playing in front of them.
‘He is bound on fulfilling his promise. He really does what he said.’ Mozti said looking at the Jadasian wearing a dark spacesuit with a golden crown on his head. He is looking at the proceedings like an insensible being not caring about the screams, uproars begging for sympathy and outcries of deep longing and pain. Behind him are 15 Durtians who are now apathetic and indifferent witnessing their consanguine being decapitated and killed. These Durtians are no other than the Archbishop, the Emperor and the other high ranking officials of the Empire of Durtians.
“Mozti, you’re here. Are you ready?” Laquadia asked him casually after he felt him looking towards his direction. “You may go towards that platform. The orphans are ready.” He added not caring about any of those words he said.
Laquadia looked at Mozti with inquisitively. He doesn’t think this Jadasian would do something downright as he had already given his words. If he does, severe punishment is a must.
“My Prince, how about I’ll kill 500 elderlies instead of children.” Mozti stopped in the midst of his strides asking Laquadia things that made him smile intriguingly.
“Mozti, we made a deal and it is final.” Laquadia said firmly.
“I can kill 1,000 elderlies instead of 500.”
“No.”
“I’ll kill 2,000 then.”
“No.”
“2,500.”
“I said NOOOOOOOO!!!!” Laquadia shouted at him making the wind to distort. A small resonating sound spread all over the planet making some of the small animals to tremble. His furiousness is already at its peak. “If you cannot do it, I’ll stain my hand to kill your orphans!” He added full of sturdiness on the words he said. For Mozti those words are like irons that cannot be broken even how many times he tries. If only he is powerful enough to melt that iron.
Giving out a very long sigh he then bowed towards Laquadia respectfully and began to continue walking towards the platform where 500 children are lined up.
“My Prince, are you sure?” Deisham asked him anxiously.
“Deisham, he needs to be heartless because that is how this Universe works towards their enemies.” Laquadia said looking at Mozti getting the executioner’s sword. “He needs to be reborn anew.” He added closing his eyes to focus more on Mozti.
