Empire Of Jadase: New Day - Chapter 40

The darkness around is sultry and heavy. Sun and Nebulas can be seen sparkling endlessly like fireflies at night. Comets can be seen streaming in the vast expanse of space as if they are dancing majestically. The space is very tranquil like day and night pass by peacefully.

There is no air that can be felt as an extraordinary dragon flapped its gargantuan wings. It’s eternal space-like body camouflaged with the surroundings. While it’s imposing head searched the area. It looks like it had traveled the eternal darkness for days already.

On its back stood a 6 and a half feet tall, handsome man that has a feature at the acme of perfection. The dark spacesuit that he is wearing complemented his perfectly sculptured body. His expression is calm as he browsed his surroundings with his deep blue eyes and sword-like eyebrows that can captivate every woman with a single look. His raven blue hair is motionless as if time has frozen.

70 miles away from their current location, there can be seen a golden blazing light that radiates a sanguine aura. It looks like it can kill any living beings that come near it.

“That’s what we are looking for, boy.” The handsome mad said towards the instantaneous dragon pointing at the blazing light.

This man is no other than Laquadia together with Zeno. They had traveled and entered some of the long-range teleportation portals in this vast expanse of eternal darkness just to find the treasure which will help Zeno ascend from being a Prince Rothar to become a King Rothar.

Zeno began to flap his wings excitedly towards the blazing light. This blazing light is also called Neutron Stars which had collapsed a thousand years ago. Which is the exact star that they have to find. These Stars are considered priceless treasures for Rothars like Zeno.

After half an hour, they are already 5 miles away from the Neutron Star. Any further would mean death for those who don’t have enough power to resist the sanguine aura that radiates from it.

“Can you do it, boy?” Laquadia asked Zeno anxiously.

Zeno bellows excitedly as his response to Laquadia and began to look at him full of sadness.

“Don’t worry Zeno, I’ll wait for your return,” Laquadia spoke to him full of assurance.

“See you soon, Master,” Zeno told him telepathically.

“Goodbye.”

After he said those words, he immediately spread his striking wings and fly away on his fastest speed from Zeno. He knows if he doesn’t do it, worst things might happen. Which can be a result of his own death.

This is because in every ascension of these God Rothars they forget everything. In fact, they don’t have any memories left within them due to the Neutron Star they had swallowed. Neutron Stars have the ability to erase all the memories of the creature who had swallowed them. It can also control the creature’s body making it into a hysteria. Eventually, leading the creature into an uncontrolled rampage destroying and killing everything on its path. After the Neutron Star has been fully dissolved, only when the creature can regain all the memories he has in the past and it will be back in its normal state.

“I hope that not more than 20 Prince Rothars had already ascended,” Laquadia told himself perturbed towards the ascension of Zeno. He then entered the nearest teleportation portal he saw.

Laquadia knows that Zeno will swallow the Neutron Star after three days. Thereupon, making sure that his Master is in the safe distance.

After he entered the teleportation portal, the scene around him became distorted and thousands of colors flashed in front of him making him feel a little dizzy, even though, he had entered thousands of teleportation portal already.

In the opposite side of the teleportation portal, there can be seen more than 500 dwarves guarding it. They all wear a spacesuit that can help them survive the harshness of space. They also have long weapons that are two times higher than them. At the very end of the weapon is a thumb like object that emits a shocking power of death.

“Brothers, this is our lucky day!” Shouted the dwarf near the portal when he saw the red light glowed above it – signifying that someone had entered it.

“Prepare yourselves!” The most senior dwarf ordered everyone and began to get into their position.

Ambushing rouges individuals on the other side of the teleportation portal is a common problem in the Galaxy. This kind of insolence are the things of pirates who scam or even kill individuals and rob them of their valuable wealth.

These dwarves are known as the Valiant Pirates who patrols in this portion of the Galaxy. Thus, making them be known in having nefarious schemes in robbing or even killing individuals who travel space alone in their spacecraft.

The figure in the portal is now forming vividly. The dwarves are now very excited to attack this unfortunate being.

“Attack!” Shouted the leader of the pirates when he saw the figure went out of the portal dazed.

Hundreds of bullet like stones are hurled towards him, making the man to be stunned but immediately regained his senses. These stones are not any common stones that can be seen anywhere, he knows that something is special about them. But now, is not the right time to investigate and to know what kind of stones are those. He quickly summoned a powerful shield to fend off these stones flying towards him like bolts of lightning.

Bangggggg!

Shocking ripples spread in all directions hitting some of the dwarves, unexpectedly. Due to their small sizes, a gust of wind that came from the impact can severely drift them ten meters away from their position.

They cannot believe what they are seeing. Someone can naturally defend himself from the simultaneously attack they had launched. In the whole history of ambushing individuals in the portal, this is the first time this had happened. Most shocking of all is that this man doesn’t have any spacesuit that would protect him from this harsh environment. They now understand that they had messed with a God-like being of this Universe.

“You ambushed the wrong monster, shrimps!” The individual shouted angrily from the incident that had happened before. He then spread his wings and made some summoning gestures in midair.

Black snow began to form amidst the region they are at.

“Run!” The dwarves shouted and moved towards their pirate ship in a frenzy.

Before one of them can enter the spacecraft, a blazing fire suddenly engulfed his body. The fire began to spread in the whole area making a small domain controlled by the man near the portal. Blazing heat can be felt when one of the dwarves approached the fire courageously. A meter away from the blazing fire, the suit he is wearing began to melt and fire spread all over his body.

“Ahhhhhh!” He cried painfully when he has been engulfed by the fire like a savage monster.

“No one can leave unless he’s dead.” The God-like being said casually towards the dwarves with fire all over his body. This being is no other than Laquadia who is now incensed to these dwarves who had ambushed him.

“Kill him!” The leader shouted furiously with a hint of fear in his eyes. He has no choice but to fight till death with this God. As of the moment, he regretted assaulting this being. If he can reverse time, he’ll even welcome this being with grandeur just to please him or even make him as an ally. But now it is only possible in his imagination.

More than 500 dwarves began to comply with their leader’s command and hurled the stone like bullets towards Laquadia.

Laquadia constricted his eyes when he saw hundreds of stones flying towards him. Immediately, he made some complex incantations with his hands summoning a 100 feet long dragon that emanates a shocking power. Without any hesitation, Laquadia also hurled the dragon to resist the incoming stones.

Boommmm!

A powerful impact resonated in the eternal darkness of space making some of the nearest asteroids to shake moderately.

Sweat can now be seen on the faces of the dwarves. They are still attacking Laquadia nonstop with their weapons. A blazing fire and black snow blanketed the whole area they are in making them feel both hotness and coldness. Some of the dwarves cannot take the intertwined atmosphere that makes it, even more, struggling to fight this God-like being.

“Do not give up on fighting!” The leader shouted towards his subordinates.

Laquadia just grinned mockingly towards these insignificant creatures after he heard those words.

“You fools really wanted to die! If so, I’ll fulfill your wish!” He then summoned a golden blob in his right hand and fused it in his surroundings. The fusing made the black snow to be more rigid than before. Shockingly, daggers began to form from the snow and poured down like rain towards the dwarves.

The dwarves then gave a disbelieving look on their faces and began to dodge the daggers as many as they can. Unfortunately, some of them were stabbed directly by the unrelenting barrage of daggers.

More and more dwarves are being killed as time passes by. From the more than 500 dwarves that ambushed Laquadia, only 60 are left. These remaining dwarves have 3 or more daggers being stabbed in their bodies. Even how much they tried to dodge the storm of daggers they still cannot avoid to be overwhelmed by its endless numbers.

All the remaining dwarves are now full of blood. The leader is even more wretched as eight daggers stabbed through his chest, back, shoulders and arms. The scene made Laquadia to be astonished, he cannot believe that this dwarf has a powerful longevity to resist death.

30 more stone bullets flew towards him like lightning bolts. Even though how fast they are, they still cannot cross the ten feet demarcation of the sword-storm.

“Pain,” Laquadia said casually and suddenly his eyes began to change. A deep blue with a hint of red and blackness on the center like a blooming flower can now be seen on his eyes. This spell is similar to that of what he had done to Mozti. Only that, this is a hundred times more powerful.

“Ahhhhhh.” The dwarves shouted painfully putting both of their hands on their heads. The pain they are experiencing is unimaginable. They felt that their minds and souls are being tortured and stabbed by needles. Some of them began to bleed from their orifices. 10 of the dwarves dropped lifeless to the vastness of space. This attack is so agonizing that the pain makes you insane.

“Die,” Laquadia added and suddenly all of the remaining dwarves convulsed violently and dropped with their lifeless.

This spell is Laquadia’s most powerful weapon in killing his enemies instantly. The spell is the most forbidden and the most complicated he had ever learned. This is because it is a natural law which can control both time and destruction. Thus, letting him have the power to possess the minds and souls of all the living beings around him within a one-kilometer radius. The spell also drains a lot of mental stamina, hindering him from casting it consecutively. He didn’t use this spell on battling the Emperor and the Archbishop of the Empire of Durtan as he thought it is not worth it. Killing them instantly would only restrain him in avenging Neros and the others a hundred folds.

Laquadia witness as how the dwarves dropped into the endless darkness lifeless. He then walked pass them but suddenly after making 4 strides he felt something amiss with his perception. He touched his back where the pain came from and saw blood in his right hand after probing it. His vision began to grow blurry as seconds pass by. Laquadia endures the power that pulled him to fall out but as soon as the clock hits one minute, he suddenly closed his eyes and dropped to the ground together with the dwarves. He cannot believe that those bullets had hit him, it only means that he is not invincible.

A pirate ship can be seen flying towards the nearest teleportation portal. They are not going to use it but rather to investigate the shocking power that came in that direction a while ago. The ripples that hit their ship when they traveled the space made them interested in finding what it is. As pirates, after a major battle has been fought they’ll always head there directly to pry over the scraps or even resources that are left behind.

“Captain I wish we can find something valuable today.” The chicken-like individual can be seen standing next beside the duck-billed rhinoceros inside the Command Room of their spacecraft. They had traveled to countless destinations in the past few days without finding anything. Now that the opportunity strikes them, excitement can be seen on their faces.

“Kitus, don’t be too excited, in the end, it will only hurt you.” The duck-billed rhinoceros with a burly body said towards Kitus. This Captain is no other than Heratus. Eventually, after the scene in the asteroid where some of the leaders have decided to be an Autonomous State under the Ice Kingdom. Heratus had brought Kitus with him as what he had promised.

Together with more than 800 pirates inside their pirate ship, they then began to enter the region where a pirate ship can be seen floating like a ghost. More than 500 corpses of dwarves can be seen floating around, some have burns on their body while some have daggers stabbed in their bodies. This scene made some of the pirates to be in terror.

Heratus immediately ordered his subordinates to wear their spacesuit and collect all the weapons that scattered around.

“This is our lucky day, Kitus.” He said full of enthusiasm when he saw the scene in the large screen of the Commander Room. “These dwarves must have ambushed some monsters,” Heratus added casually looking at the wretched state of those dwarves.

“Captain, these weapons are high grade.” One of the pirates said full of ardor in the transmission line. “Their bullets are made from Neutron Stars.”

“These dwarves must be filthy rich. They must have killed and robbed countless of rouge individuals.” Heratus looked at the weapons that are being looted by his subordinates. Having these kinds of weapons are truly fascinating added that to the bullets they are using.

“Captain, how can they have bullets from Neutron Stars?” Kitus asked him with knitted eyebrows.

“Those Neutron Stars are being harvested by one of the factions here in the Galaxy called Quardians. Quardians are the only individuals who have the technology to process those Neutron Stars to become their ultimate weapons. Therefore making some of the powerful Nations to be afraid of them and instigated their own annihilation. Quardians had been exterminated by the Democratic Empire of Bardus thousands of years ago. Thus, some of their valuable wealth are being robbed by pirates and rouges.” Heratus explained everything he knows about the bullets to Kitus.

“The Democratic Empire of Bardus is thousands of light years away from here. How come these bullets are here?” Kitus asked.

“Some of the valuable resources are being sold in the black market and I am also astonished as you are as to how these dwarves obtai…”

“Captain!” One of the pirates shouted at the transmission line shocked. “We found someone, still breathing!”

“Bring him inside!” Heratus responded quickly and went out of the Command Room towards the small dock of his spacecraft. Kitus also followed him not knowing what is happening.

The unconscious individual was then carried by two pirates going inside the pirate ship. He was then laid down in front of Heratus.

Heratus is stupefied when he looked at the unconscious man. He immediately checked his pulse to make sure that he is truly alive. Suddenly, the man opened his eyes full of confusion written on his face.

“What’s your name friend?” Heratus asked him formally.

“I don’t know.” He answered clueless about his identity.

This man is no other than Laquadia who have lost every memory he has as well as his identity.
