“My friend, seeing you still alive after you have 7 Neutron Star bullets in your body means you are a powerful being,” Heratus told Laquadia with veneration. “Not only that, you can also survive the space without wearing any spacesuits. Thus, the recovery process of your memory is definite….only that, I don’t know the exact time.” He added with sympathy.
They are now inside a dilapidated cabin of the spacecraft. When Laquadia looked at his surroundings, he saw rats that have long fangs protruding out of their mouths and cockroaches that are 3 inches in length.
“Sorry my friend, my spacecraft is already a hundred years old and some of its parts are now malfunctioning,” Heratus said apologizing for the situation. “I heard you exterminated those Valiant Pirates single-handedly.”
“Valiant Pirates?” Laquadia asked him full of abstruse expression.
“They are the dwarves who ambushed you. If you cannot remember those yet, it’s okay. It is because you had been hit by bullets made from Neutron Stars.” Heratus explained what had happened before he lost his memories.
“Neutron Stars?”
“Ahhhhhh!” Laquadia shouted and hold his head painfully. He then saw a gigantic dragon that is surrounded by blue flames, it has two black horns and a starry night body where there can be seen all sorts of clustered stars, nebulas and some of the heavenly bodies. The dragon is somewhat familiar to him but he cannot remember where he saw this dragon.
“My friend, are you okay?” Heratus asked Laquadia in a panic.
After 30 seconds, he stopped shouting and lied down to his bed listless.
“Have you seen a dragon with me?” Laquadia asked him.
“Sorry, my friend,” Heratus answered him remorseful. “The dragon must be important to you.”
“Maybe. By the way, what are Neutron Stars?”
“Neutron Stars can make any living beings in this Universe to forget all the memories they have, just like you. But, the Neutron Stars that hit you have been refined to be bullets. Thus, you still have the chance to regain your memories.” Heratus answered him, repeating some of the words he had said towards Laquadia a while ago.
“Thank you, may I know your name?” Laquadia asked the duck-billed rhinoceros in front of him.
“Heratus, my friend. Rest for a while and you can come out anytime you want to.” Heratus said to him and began to walk out of the cabin.
“Wait…” Laquadia called him. “I still don’t know my name.” Laquadia looked at him with confusion.
“We can start calling you Tyrus Chaim,” Heratus answered him.
Tyrus Chaim is now his new identity and the beginning of his new journey in exploring this eternal darkness of space and unlocking some of its secrets. A new story of a new God is starting to unfold.
“Tyrus Chaim?” Laquadia looked at him satisfied. “Thank you.”
“He is my brother who was the former Captain of this spacecraft.” Heratus opened up.
“Where is he now?”
Heratus looked at Tyrus with a sullen face and answered. “He’s dead.” He then went out of the cabin turbid.
“Sorry, my friend,” Tyrus said regretting what he had asked him.
Two days later.
Tyrus is inside his own cabin looking at the watch in his right wrist. The watch looks ordinary but it emanates a complex aura. This watch was given to him by Heratus an hour ago, saying that it can help him regain his memories and his power. The Neutron Star bullets not only eradicated his memories but also all of his powers. Chemicals were added into those bullets adding a severe reaction and changes to the body it hits.
Now that he has no memory and power left within him. Laquadia in the identity of Tyrus will start from scratch building his own marks again from the very beginning.
Tyrus began to feel something within his mind when he touched the red button on the center of the watch.
“Pirata System is launching; launching complete.”
“Welcome to Pirata System. Please state your name.” Tyrus is shocked when he heard an archaic voice spoke in his mind.
“Tyrus Chaim.” He excitedly complied with the voice speaking his name aloud.
“You don’t need to speak it aloud, idiot.” The archaic voice said insulting him with his naive reaction. “Your name has been registered. You are now my servant.” It added, making Tyrus to be shocked on the word servant.
‘Doesn’t it the other way around?’ He asked himself curiously.
“Idiot, I can read your thoughts whatever it is.” The watch said. “No, you heard it right, idiot.”
“Do you need to speak the word ‘idiot’ in every sentence you say?” He asked the watch telepathically.
“Is there any problem with that?!” The watch is now shouting at him angrily. “You truly is an idiot, idiot!”
What the f”?! He thought there will no more idiots that will come out from him. Unexpectedly, he said it at the last phrase of his sentence – even twice.
“Is idiot your figure of speech or your idioms?” Laquadia asked him disbelievingly.
“Are you an idiot, idiot? Can’t you tell idioms from an idiot, idiot? Figure of speech? Idiiiooooot!!!!”
Tyrus felt his mind is reeling from those words he heard. He thinks that he is seeing the words idiots in his vision after this unexplainable, otherworldly possessive, cantankerous, irascible, bilious watch in his right wrist said those words.
He now regretted activating the watch which he thought would help him regain his memories. Instead of helping him with his current situation, this watch would only cause him to have more problems.
Without replying to anything, he went out of his cabin irritated. He is now walking in a rusty hallway of the spacecraft going towards the private room of Heratus. Without even considering to knock, he opened the door and went directly in front of Heratus shocked.
“This watch is… ugh!” Tyrus then unfastened the watch and gave it to Heratus slamming it in his table, full force. “I don’t want this unscrupulous watch, Heratus. It makes my life to be threatened by its unending ‘idiots’ words.” He said with a very angry face.
“My friend, I understand what you mean but…..” He paused for a while and looked at the watch in front of him. “…that’s the only watch left in my cabinet. Finding another would take us years.” Heratus get the watch and gave it again to Tyrus. “Use it if you want, throw if you don’t.”
Tyrus gets the watch lazily and walked out of the room.
‘What choice do I have?’ He said putting on the watch again on his right wrist.
“Welcome back, idiot.” The watch greeted him full of energy. “What do you want to activate the training mode, the upgrade mode or information mode?”
Tyrus widened his eyes on what he just heard. He doesn’t know what are those modes but he can discern that it must be interesting.
“Information mode?” He said with an inquisitive remark.
“Are you asking me or saying your answer, idiot?”
“Go to information mode.” He said not putting a lot of words in his sentence.
“User Information Mode activated. Stats Menu, Spell Menu, Ability Menu and I forgot the other menu.” The watch said on his mind making him more furious.
Now, he is curious about all the things this watch is talking. He just said information mode but now he’s saying User Information Mode? This is too aggravating on his part.
“Can’t you explain anything to me?! Also, complete the information you have to say, moron!” He shouted in his mind referring to the madness he felt towards the watch. His patience is starting to wane and already decided to throw this watch to the eternal darkness outside.
“Pirata System is a system developed for all the individuals who wanted to become a pirate. The System enhances and strengthens the user’s abilities and skills. Thus, letting them have the capability to fend off powerful experts from the Nations of the Galaxy who hunts pirates. And also, from the other pirates who wanted to exploit them due to their wealth or personal grievances. Pirata System can also be upgraded through the status of the user. The System has 5 upgrades in total. In every upgrade, it brings a lot of opportunities for the user, as well as to the Pirata System it wears. The first upgrade will happen after the user achieved the Corsair status.” The watch explained to Tyrus making him feel better.
“The Pirata System has a total of three modes; User Information Mode, User Training Mode or the User Quests Mode, and Upgrade Mode. Each mode will be explained one by one.”
“Information…User Information Mode; this is where you see your progress as a pirate through the Stats Menu, Spell Menu, Ability Menu and Achievements Menu. In Stats Menu, you have the strength, dexterity, intelligence, and charm. Strength refers to your physical power to withstand force without being distorted. Dexterity refers to your physical power to easily move and dodge against the attack of your opponents. Intelligence refers to how you can understand things easily and to help you decide quickly on difficult situations. Intelligence defines how powerful the spells you summon can be. Vitality refers to how much time you can hold in a battle.” The watch finished explaining the User Information Mode before Tyrus went inside his cabin.
Suddenly some detailed information began to flash within his mind.

“Buccaneer…..what’s that?” Tyrus asked the watch seating down on his bed.
“In Spell Menu, you can see all the collections of spells you are capable to summon.” The watch continued explaining without even paying any attention to what Tyrus asked him.
“The first ranked spells are mainly basic. As of the moment, you have the capability to summon an ice lizard, fire lizard, and dark lizard. Which is very unusual to an idiot like you.”
Tyrus is thrilled when he heard he has the capability to summon three basic spells but suddenly felt his blood began to boil on what he heard from the last sentence of the watch.
“The second-ranked spells are composed of three sets. The first set is spells powered by strength, the second is dexterity and the third is intelligence. The third-ranked spells learned from experience while the fourth-ranked spells are also called Forbidden Spells. I presume you can only summon second-ranked spells but if you can summon the third ranks it is already luck.” The watch barraged him with insults.
“Ability Menu is where you can see all your current abilities parallel to your current rank status.” The watch continued without letting him retort from the insults it said. “This is also the menu where you can see the progress of your natural aptitude.”

The detail regarding his natural aptitude flashed in his mind.
“Achievements Menu is where your achievements are stored every time you finish your task in the User Training Mode. It can also give you some extra points when you have accomplished enough achievements to help you advance quickly.”
“Can you explain to me if what do those points mean, moron?!” Tyrus asked the watched exasperated.
“When you ascend from your current rank status you need to improve your Stats by adding points into it. For example, you currently have a strength of 12 which means you need 18 more…..no, 38 more strength points to qualify you to become a Corsair in strength. In total, you need to accumulate 50 points on each stats to become a legitimate Corsair.” The watch explained to him with his deep archaic voice.
“So that’s what it means. What about the natural aptitude? How many points do I need to accumulate to ascend it?” Tyrus asked the watch telepathically.
“User Training Mode or the User Quests Mode, this is where you will be given quests as a form of training and when it is fulfilled, it will earn you points. This points will help you improve your current stats and it is your decision whether to spend it in strength, or in intelligence, or even in dexterity. Overall, you will be given the privilege on what stats you want to improve.” The watch explained without listening to what Tyrus asked him.
“Can’t you answer all my previous questions, moron?!”
“A Buccaneer is a rank status of a pirate. It is the lowest status any pirate can achieve. The following are the ascending order of rank status:
1st Rank: Buccaneer
It needs a total of 50 accumulated points to achieve this rank for those who have ordinary potentials.
75 for mediocre; and
100 for geniuses.
2nd Rank: Corsair
100 accumulated points for ordinary;
150 for mediocre; and
200 for geniuses.
3rd Rank: Freebooter
200 accumulated points for ordinary;
250 for mediocre; and
300 for geniuses.
4th Rank: Rover
300 accumulated points for ordinary;
350 for mediocre; and
400 for geniuses.
5th Rank: Marauder
400 accumulated points for ordinary;
450 for mediocre; and
500 for geniuses.
6th Rank: Privateer
500 accumulated points for ordinary;
550 for mediocre; and
600 for geniuses.
7th Rank: Pirate
600 accumulated points for ordinary;
650 for mediocre; and
700 for geniuses.

“How come the Paramount Pirate Emperor be unreachable?” Tyrus asked the watch.
“In Upgrade Mode, this is where the user upgrades the Pirata System after it achieved the Corsair Rank, legitimately. After the upgrade, the user will be given stat points depending on his potential. 10 for ordinary, 15 for mediocre and 20 for geniuses. The upgrade can also let the user decide whether to change the settings or not. That is all the information you need to know about the Pirata System, idiot.” The watch said after he explained everything and began to stay silent.
Tyrus became intrigued after the watch didn’t answer his last question. Suddenly, he realized something about this watch.
“Moron, answer my last question,” Tyrus ordered the watch telepathically.
“The Paramount Pirate Emperor is unreachable, due to the fact that it requires a lot of accumulated points for the user to ascend it.”
‘Now that’s how it works.’ He thought indifferently.
“What do you mean by that, idiot!” The watch shouted at him curiously.
“Moron, how many accumulated points do I need to become a Paramount Pirate Emperor?”
“1,000 for ordinary, 1,100 for mediocre and 1,200 for geniuses.” The complied immediately.
Tyrus is thankful that he is conversing with his watch telepathically. If not, his comrades would definitely look at him with scrutiny. He cannot believe that he needs to say the word ‘moron’ before the watch complies with his orders.
Suddenly, an idea popped on his head.
“Moron, go to the settings.”
The settings then flashed in his mind. He then saw the username settings and the word ‘idiot’ is used as his identity while the ‘moron’ is used as a command name before the watch would comply with its user’s orders. Tyrus doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he saw this. Whoever, the previous owner of this watch might be, he is so ludicrous to do this kind of childishness.
“Change the username into Tyrus, moron.” He ordered the watch casually to try his luck.
“The settings can only be changed after the upgrade, idiot.” The watch reminded him.
“When will I start earning points, moron?” He said displeased by the words he is using.
“You need to activate the User Training Mode or the User Quests Mode before I can answer that, idiot.” The watch reprimanded him with his deep archaic voice.
“Activate the UTM, moron,” Tyrus said.
After 30 seconds, the watch didn’t reply to him.
“Activate the User Training Mode, moron.” He said revising his orders.
He still didn’t get any response from the watch after he waited for 10 seconds.
“Activate the User Training Mode or the User Quests Mode, moron.” He said revising it again.
“UTM has been activated.” The watch said.
Tyrus suddenly felt vomiting from what he heard. He had said the complete words of the mode while the watch only said it’s acronym. This is intense.
Information regarding his quests immediately flooded his mind.
“Quest 1:
Defeat any legitimate Buccaneer within 2 minutes.
Points to be earned: 2
Quest 2:
Survive space without using any spacesuits within 15 seconds.
Points to be earned: 3
Quest 3:
Fulfill quests 1 and 2 within 3 minutes.
Points to be earned: 5
The 3rd Quest’s timer will start after you fight your opponent. This Quest is separate from Quests 1 and 2 and you’ll get the exact number of points as stated.

If all Quests have been fulfilled within 5 minutes after reading this, you will gain 2 bonus points.
