Enchanting Martial Doctor - Chapter 5 Uncle Feng Dais House
After leaving the church Uncle Feng Dai took Ying Yue to a small house in the utmost section of the town. He had bought his house on order to get a more private space away from the Jiang family. If you think about it, something like taking women to the Jiang mansion for special social activities was out of question as it would ruin some of their reputation. Not that that was the main reason for him getting this house. The main goal was to get a place where he could do research and cultivate in peace.
Entering the small house Uncle Feng Dai laid down a sound isolation barrier and looked at Ying Yue.
“So could you explain to me what exactly happened?”
He said to her as Ying Yue looked back at him and responded.
“It’s sort of a long story…”
Ying Yue told her uncle about what happened, with a few modifications to the story. Instead of telling her uncle that she had gotten memories from her past life back she told him that she had met a master of medicine and martial arts. She had become the master’s disciple and he had taught her a technique that healed her meridians and a technique to reacquire and further develop her cultivation.
Uncle Feng Dai only became angrier and angrier as he heard her story. Only when she mentioned her fortuitous encounter did he became somewhat relieved. But when she had finished her story he quickly went into rage again.
“That bastard nephew of mine!! He has always had such a damn high pride! But to think he would even lay a hand on his own sister! Just where did that personality of his come from?!! If only your father knew of this! Your bastard brother would definitely be sent away to the capital prison.”
Ying Yue quickly dragged her uncle to a nearby sofa.
“Calm down Uncle. I have a plan and I need your help”
“Anything for my Yue’er. Aah when I think about how much you have been through…”
“Stop thinking about it. What has happened has happened, it’s time to focus on retaliation.”
“Yue’er, you’ve become so wise after this incident, Uncle will calm down now.”
Uncle Feng Dai leans back on the backrest of the sofa and takes some deep breaths.
Out in public Feng Dai is known as an free expert of martial arts, admired for his numerous travels without restrictions. He is seen as a strong individual that won’t let anything stop him, except family issues. Feng Dai would do anything for his family and both him and Ying Yue’s father, Gang Gui, dotes on especially Ying Yue a lot. Ying Yue was an extremely beautiful and clever girl in most men’s eyes, even women thought well of her. Most of her siblings also adored her. Well except her oldest brother, Li Jun.
Before Ying Yue was born Li Jun was the focus of his family, losing the attention made Li Jun with his pride extremely jealous of Ying Yue. Most of the family members wasn’t aware of this fact. They hadn’t noticed much of a change in him and even though Ying Yue was clever she didn’t take notice that he had malicious thoughts about her. She trusted everyone in her family. Li Jun knew of this fact so he used that to try to end her life or at least cripple her.
Unfortunately for Li Jun it didn’t go as he planned. Soon after he had abandoned his sister in the forest she awoke the memories of her past life and not only saved herself from dying but also got back her ability to cultivate. Of course he doesn’t know that she is alive and Ying Yue intends to keep it that way for at least a while.
“So what does my dear niece Yue’er want me to do?”
Uncle Feng Dai asked Ying Yue calmly.
“First I need my father to not know whether I’m alive or not. You must tell him that I’ve gone missing.”
“But Yue’er your father is going to die sick of worry if he doesn’t know where you are. Do you want to kill him?”
“No uncle, that’s not my intention. I’m only afraid that if father knows about it then Li Jun will soon know about it too.”
“I do understand your concern, but I don’t know how to keep your father from killing himself.”
“Then how about this? Do you have a paper and pen on you?”
“Yes I do. But what would you need that for?”
“You’ll know soon.”
Uncle Feng Dai handed Ying Yue the paper and pen and she quickly scribbled down something on it. Once she was done she handed the pen and all the pieces of paper except one piece back to Uncle Feng Dai and he read through the piece of paper on top.
“Dear Father
I’m sorry I, Ying Yue, betrayed your trust by going out into the forest with my brother without telling you. Actually Ying Yue can’t quite remember what happened once I went into the forest with my brother and his friends but I was somehow saved by a mysterious martial master. The martial master was skilled in both martial art and medicine. Thanks to her I got quickly back to health. Also I apparently meet the requirements to become her disciple. Father, Ying Yue wants to be stronger and I’ve decided to become master’s disciple. I’m sorry but I will go on a travel with my master to develop my arts. Ying Yue promises to be back soon.
Dear wishes from Ying Yue”
“This is…”
“Tell him that you found this note in the forest, stuck on the foot of a dead dove.”
“This will certainly keep him from killing himself. That’s right you said this was the first thing I had to do, right? Are there more things you want me to do.”
“Yes, I need these herbs, think uncle can get a hold of them?”
Ying Yue handed her last piece of paper to Uncle Feng Dai and he quickly skimmed through it.
“No problem. I have all of these here in my small house.”
“Alright, then last thing. Please take Yun Che as a disciple.”
“That shouldn’t be that hard either… wait what?!!”
