- Chapter 473: Blackmailing A Supreme Deity
Blackmail! Chaos knew very well that the Supreme Deity of Brightness could easily blackmail him with the souls of his parents on the line… So Chaos didn’t let her do that to begin with. After all, what was the best thing to do against blackmail than use blackmail back? This is why he used his powers and even managed to break through the supreme domain of both the spirit king and brightness just to infect most of the population of mortals within the planet with a toxic black smoke. If she didn’t gave him the souls of his parents, all of her beloved people would die.
The Supreme Deity of Brightness remained in silence while looking at Chaos high in the sky, an enormous floating metal slime was behind him, alongside millions of summoned creatures and his Elite of Great Gods, alongside Abyss, the strongest Great God within his group, who he was sharing his divine energy so she could conjure abilities, techniques, and spells at the level of a supreme goddess through the branches of the Universal Tree that Chaos Divine Realm shared with all of those with Cosmic Cores inside their divine realms. This was an ability he just discovered after becoming a Supreme God himself.
The Supreme Deity of Brightness stood there in silence, as she looked into her hands, there were two spheres with the souls of Ainz and Lesithea sealed inside, she was going to use them as bargaining chips against Chaos, but the bastard got the better off her in just a single second since he broke the barrier thanks to the power of the strange entity with him…
“Tch! Don’t underestimate me, monster!” Roared the Supreme Deity of Brightness, as her entire Divine Domain expanded into a gigantic shockwave of divine light, so big and bright that it seemed near endless! All this light suddenly spread across her entire planet, sparkling healing light over her people and instantly healing them of whatever toxin they had, they immediately felt better!
“Haha! Do you think that your stupid toxins can go against me?! I am a Goddess of Light! One of my strongest assets is my healing powers!” Said the Supreme Deity of Brightness, as she smiled confidently against Chaos. The elf man behind her flew upwards at her side as his enormous aura shaped itself into a titan made of green and golden light to be a bit like her size, as the Supreme Deity of Brightness was a giantess of several hundreds of meters after unleashing her powers, compared to the tiny Spirit King.
“Was that your trump card, chimera? I don’t really care about your history or whatever, give me Edward and I won’t bother you.” Said the Spirit King. Suddenly seemingly looking as if he was going to leave the Supreme Deity of Brightness alone if he were to be given Edward!
“You bastard, you dare say that in front of me?! So if he gives you the damn elf you’re just going to leave?!” Asked the Supreme Deity of Brightness.
“I have already lost too much inside of your stupid Star System! Do you think I have the patience to waste even more energy, resources, and soldiers in your affairs?” Asked the Spirit King angrily.
Chaos was surprised, he had believed that the Supreme Deity of Spirits was actually going to fight him with the Supreme Deity of Brightness as if they were best friends or something, but they were actually discussing! Both were blaming one another for each other mistakes, and seemed incredibly and childishly stubborn.
However, this was another situation that Chaos could take advantage of, it was always better to not fight two Supreme Gods at the same time after all, and the Spirit King seemed to be tired of being in this Star System to begin with…
“Hmph… Very well.” Said Chaos, as he suddenly summoned Edward.
“My lord…” Muttered Edward. “I-I see… I guess that’s… the right thing to do at the end.” Sighed Edward. “I am sorry… for having caused so much trouble to you.”
“I have a condition to give it to you, Spirit King.” Said Chaos.
“Condition?” Asked the Spirit King. “What?”
“Don’t kill him until you reach your home planet.” Said Chaos. “And give him a dignified, and calm death. You’re a dignified elf, aren’t you? Wouldn’t killing him brutely and horrendously go against the refined manners your race is so proud of? Wouldn’t you be just some nasty barbarians if you kill your brethren so savagely?” Chaos spoke eloquently by copying the mannerisms of Valen and Jakob, absorbing their memories also worked at helping him act like them to an extent, which made him more charismatic than he actually was.
“N-Nasty Barbarian?! You might be a Supreme Deity now too… But that doesn’t mean you got the right to go around calling me in such a manner!” Said the Spirit King, as he crossed his arms angrily. “Of course, I’ll give him a dignified and non-barbaric death… Now give me he bastard child of my sister and I’ll be on my way.” The Spirit King spoke, as the Supreme Deity of Brightness looked at him with eyes wide open, even her chin seemed to be falling off her jaws…
“Y-You bastard, you’re really just going to let me alone without any aid?!” Asked the Supreme Deity of Brightness.
“Don’t you have your vampire and dragon friends you love to give oral sex so much? Ask them for help instead.” Said the Spirit King.
“Y-You’re calling me a whore now?! I would kill you if it wasn’t because…!” Muttered the Supreme Deity of Brightness, as she wouldn’t dare to waste even more energy making of the Spirit King her enemy.
“There you go.” Said Chaos, sending Edward towards the Spirit King, as the Spirit King looked at the elf with a hateful manner.
“…”
“Hmph, come.” Said the Spirit King, grabbing Edward with a hand-shaped divine aura limb and flying away into the outer space, where his spaceship was waiting him.
Edward looked back at Chaos as Chaos looked back at him for a slight second… Something seemed off for the Supreme Deity of Brightness as she noticed this, but she didn’t said a word about it because the Spirit King flew faster than she could even speak.
“You bastard! How can you do this to me?! TCH!” Muttered the Supreme Deity of Brightness, as she looked hatefully at Chaos, and then grinned. Even if the Spirit King was not here anymore, she still had his parent’s souls after all. “…Well, not everything is lost though.”
