Everlastingly Loving You - Chapter 105
Oliver banged the table.
“WHAT?”
“For what reason is he here?”
“Official business? Is he a royal as well?” Oliver began asking.
He realized he was acting out of line. He cleared his throat.
“What’s his name?” He asked Nicholas.
Nicholas kept quiet.
He continued eating his breakfast.
Oliver knew he couldn’t wait, he’d wither out of sheer anticipation.
“Tell me,” he growled.
Nicholas began, “He’s a CEO.”
“A CEO of an extremely successful corporation.”
“From what Sophia told me–”
“What did she tell you?” Oliver asked, interrupting him.
“Nothing you should find interesting,” Nicholas lied.
“And, since you’re not… fond of her or anything, it shouldn’t be a problem now should it?” Nicholas asked, thoroughly enjoying this. He basked at this moment.
Of course, he felt guilty, but at that moment, the child in him took over. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t want Oliver to get involved in this and get hurt in the crossfire.
Sophia told him everything last night. Exactly everything that’d happened. So, he knew that he still loved her, and so did she. He knew she was considering giving him a chance. He also knew Oliver was fond of her.
He’d even go as far as to say his brother took interest in her.
“He’s leaving today and not attending the ball,” Nicholas added.
Oliver looked relieved.
He heaved a deep sigh.
“You look relieved,” Nicholas said, fighting back a smug grin.
He momentarily wondered if his liking of Sophia was this obvious.
It was then Oliver asked him, “How did you know you had feelings for Sophia?”
“How’d you feel about her?” He added.
Nicholas pondered on it. It was a deep question.
“Good question.”
He scrunched his nose and furrowed his brows, in deep thought.
“I suppose all the signs pointed to it.”
“Whenever she was around, my heart would… flutter.”
“There were butterflies in my heart.”
“And whenever we chatted, I’d instantly feel happier and I was my best self whenever I was around her.”
“Her presence, even the sight of her was enough to brighten up my entire day and her smile?”
Nicholas couldn’t help but smile thinking about it. He reminded himself it was his brother he was talking to.
“Ahem,” Nicholas cleared his throat, “You get my point.”
“She stood up for you in front of mother and father,” Oliver added.
Nicholas grinned proudly, “There’s that too.”
Oliver found himself amused.
“When did you realize you had feelings?” He asked Nicholas.
Nicholas pursed his lips.
“When I was picking out what to choose to gift her.”
“I decided to write a letter to her.”
“And what did you write in that letter?” Oliver asked.
He hadn’t made fun of Nicholas, which was odd enough considering he’d find any reason to ridicule him.
“My feelings for her,” Nicholas said, remembering the exact moment he wrote it.
Oliver pushed his plate away. He’d lost his appetite from all this talk.
“Alright you can stop now,” he said.
Nicholas chuckled.

“Is he actually leaving?” Louis asked his sister.
“Blaine, is he leaving or is this some part of your plan?” He asked next.
“All in time, Louis. In time,” Sophia said calmly.
“Besides I don’t know anything regarding when he’ll leave.”
“All I know’s that he’s leaving,” Sophia admitted.
“You talked to him?” He asked.
Sophia shook her head, “I didn’t.”
“He sent someone to tell me.”
“What, is he scared?”
“What would he have to be scared about?” Sophia asked, feigning ignorance.
Louis stared at her.
“Are you really asking me that?” He questioned.
He opened and closed his mouth.
“Are you kidding me you’re one of the scariest people I know.”
“Aside from grandmere,” he admitted.
“I am not scary,” Sophia said, lying to herself.
“I’m a delight.”
“You keep telling yourself that, sis,” Louis said.
Sophia pouted.
“I’m not scary,” she insisted.
“Take it back,” she said to Louis.
__
“Am I scary?” Sophia asked Nicholas.
Nicholas sucked his inner cheeks.
“No,” he lied.
“Right?” Sophia asked.
“Julia’s far scarier than I am, I’m a delight,” Sophia crossed her arms in annoyance.
“Your grace,” a maid called.
She whirled around.
“WHAT IS IT?” She roared.
The maid cowered in her shoes.
“Um.”
“I meant to inform you that…”
“That…”
“Spit it out,” Sophia said to the poor maid.
“Come on, spit it out,” Sophia demanded.
Nicholas watched as the maid informed her that Blaine would be attending the ball.
Sophia looked surprised to say the least.
“I take it back you are scary, especially when you’re irritated,” Nicholas admitted.
Sophia pouted.
“You shouldn’t have been too rough on her,” Nicholas told her.
Sophia nodded, knowing he was right.
“I suppose so.”
“Right, moving on.”
“Emilia’s birthday ball is being held this evening.”
Nicholas nodded.
“You and I are invited of course,” Sophia added.
“Got any plans or are you free to be my date?” She asked.
Nicholas pondered on it, he had no plans for the evening.
“Of course I’ll be your date,” he answered with a grin.
His grin disappeared shortly after, he told Sophia, “Oh and one thing.”
“Before you hear this from someone else…”
“Oliver knows about Blaine.”
Sophia seemed unfazed.
“About time he does,” she chuckled.
“Things are about to get interesting.”
“Didn’t you make me promise not to tell anyone and keep that secret?” Nicholas questioned.
Sophia nodded, “I did, but after thinking on it, it wouldn’t hurt if he knew.”
“Besides, it’s not like he’s interested in Clarisse or anything.”
Her eyes widened, she turned to Nicholas.
“…is he?” She questioned curiously.
“I wouldn’t know anything about that,” Nicholas lied.
“Are you sure?” Sophia grilled him.
“Oliver never mentioned anything?” She continued grilling him.
“I doubt I’d be the one he confides in if he is,” Nicholas admitted.
“Well that’s depressing,” Sophia sighed.
“Tell me if he does confide in you though,” she said to Nicholas.
Nicholas raised his brow, “And when did you get so interested in Clarisse’s affairs?”
Sophia pursed her lips, “When she got hurt because of it.”
