Everlastingly Loving You - Chapter 113
“You’ve got plans already?” Sophia asked disappointedly, seeking confirmation.
Clarisse nodded, “I wish we could go on a double date but…”
“Blaine’s gonna go to work early tomorrow, and–”
“It’s alright, Claire, there’s always next time,” Sophia shrugged.
“You sure?” Clarisse asked.
“I am,” Sophia responded in return.
“Sorry again, Soph.”
“It’s alright Claire, you go have fun with Blaine, me and Nicholas will be fine no need to worry,” Sophia assured.
Clarisse raised her brow, “And you’re hundred percent sure?”
“We could rearrange things, maybe even-”
“Clarisse, stop, you can’t go on a double date with me and Nicholas it’s no big deal.”
“Go, your boyfriend’s waiting for you.”
A grin formed on Clarisse’s face, “And I’m betting so is yours.”
“Your boyfriend, still can’t believe I just said that,” she said.
Sophia scoffed, “I know right?”
“Right, wouldn’t want to keep you here any longer,” she reminded herself.
“Bye Clarisse,” she said finally.
Clarisse waved Sophia goodbye before rushing away.

“So, unfortunate news, Clarisse and Blaine can’t attend the double date.”
“I’d ask Louis and Marcus but they’re going through something and I’m trying to pry.”
Nicholas raised his brow, “Want to talk about it?”
Sophia shook her head, “I rather not.”
“Alright,” Nicholas nodded.
“So what now?” He asked her.
“You’re asking me?” Sophia asked.
“Why wouldn’t I?” Nicholas blinked.
Sophia nodded, “Right.”
“A date, just the two of us.”
“Don’t tell me you have already something in mind,” Nicholas cocked his head to the side.
“I might,” Sophia hinted.
She checked the nearest wall clock. It was nearing dinner time.
“Dinner, just the two of us in the dining hall,” she suggested.
Nicholas grinned, “Done.”
“What next?” Sophia asked him.
He suggested, “What about a movie?”
“Finish season before moving onto the next,” he added.
Sophia smiled, “Yes.”
“Alright then,” he kissed her on the forehead.
“Dinner it is, let’s go.”
Sophia had a lovestruck grin on her face.
She figured it’d be better if they had dinner instead of a double date.
It was far more romantic to be spending their first date as a couple with each other rather than with Clarisse and Blaine.
They should’ve planned a date from the start.
Sophia fed Nicholas a spoon of soup.
“You don’t have to feed me,” Nicholas insisted.
He took a napkin and dabbed it around his mouth.
“Of course I do,” Sophia said.
“I just like spoiling you,” she admitted.
A smirk formed on Nicholas’ face, “Why don’t let me feed you?”
“Please?” He asked, sticking his lower lip out.
“Oh so now you’re using your looks against me?” Sophia asked.
“Perhaps I am,” Nicholas admitted, batting his eyes.
“Fine,” Sophia huffed.
“You’ve got to stop being so handsome.”
“Other girls will eye you all the time, and…”
Nicholas butted in, “Well then it’s a good thing I’m yours.”
A fiery blush spread across Sophia’s face.
Nicholas took a spoonful of food.
“Open wide,” he said.
Sophia pouted.
“Damn you,” she cursed.
Nicholas didn’t bother hiding his grin. He’d been successful.
They took turns, bantering while enjoying dinner together.
It was a sweet moment, and it was the perfect start to their first-ever date as girlfriend and boyfriend. It wasn’t too romantic, but delicious.
__
“So when are we watching this until?” Nicholas asked, looking at her wall clock.
“Till I fall asleep,” Sophia answered.
“Why until you fall asleep?”
Nicholas retracted his question.
“Never mind,” he cleared his throat.
Sophia patted the empty space beside her.
“Come on,” she invited.
Nicholas hopped on the bed, lying beside her.
He’d first thought watching movies with her was odd. She’d choose romcoms and adventure movies, but he’d grown to like it over the month.
The movies she watched gave him hints as to how she wanted to be treated and what sorts of dates she wanted him to take her on, even if she never put it into words and told him herself.
It was better than nothing, there was certainly no other way he’d learned what being a boyfriend entailed, even if the closest example he got was from a digital screen.
His eyes widened when he realized what was on the screen.
Sophia rushed to grab the remote and skip past it.
“Oh hell no,” she said once she had the remote in her hands.
She skipped past it.
“D-don’t mind that,” she sputtered.
She switched movies, looking somewhat scarred.
He’d never seen her this way.
Nicholas admitted, “I wasn’t really paying attention.”
Sophia was relieved to hear that.
“Phew,” she sighed in relief.
“Moving on,” Sophia said.
She pressed the resume button.
She snuggled right beside him.
He intertwined his fingers with hers.
Sophia had read somewhere that intertwined fingers meant he wanted to show seriousness and vulnerability at the same time.
Only Sophia would search up what intertwined fingers meant coming from that of the male species; she appreciated the sentiment.
She shivered.
Her quarters were chilly, especially around this time.
“I’m freezing,” she said, reaching for her comforter she’d pushed down to the bottom of the bed.
She covered herself with her comforter, feeling extremely cold.
As the movie progressed, they cuddled with each other, giving each other occasional hugs and forehead kisses right until the movie ended.
By then, Nicholas had fallen asleep.
Sophia watched him sleep, he was adorable when he slept.
She was lucky to have someone like him in her life, she knew.
She laughed, she saw things differently now.
She’d once say she deserved a man like him in her life if not better, and she would to everyone on the outside, but on the inside…
She was grateful. She felt extremely lucky to be this man’s girlfriend.
How did she end up with him?
She wondered if fate had purposely made the two meet at the airport, and how her bumping into him was one of the best things that ever happen to her, of all things.
Her eyes fluttered to a close soon after and she dozed off, falling into the endless abyss of darkness.
