Everlastingly Loving You - Chapter 121
Sophia did a double-take.
What did she just hear?
Nicholas did too?
How could this be?
“Wait, what?” Sophia asked.
“You do too?” She asked.
“I thought it was only me,” she admitted.
She’d thought she’d gone insane or something.
There were many explanations as to what was going on with her, but she never looked into it.
Why would she want to prove she was insane?
It was merely a voice in her head telling her what to do from time to time.
Sure, it gave her provocative suggestions at times but she didn’t really mind it.
But it was when she discovered Nicholas was facing the exact same problem she found things peculiar.
Of course she left out the part where she’d dreamt of him dying, but she told him everything else, sparing no details.
She wondered, “Why are we like this?”
“Out of all the couples in the world, it’s us with the weird problems.”
“It isn’t really a problem, and besides it started about a couple of weeks ago,” he told her nonchalantly.
“It can’t be a coincidence, can it?” Sophia asked.
“It’s not normal either now is it?” Nicholas asked next.
Sophia wanted to answer no.
Having dreams of your now-boyfriend dying by being stabbed in the sword was not normal.
They were living in the 21st century, how could it be?
She wondered what it’d meant, and if she had to get it checked out.
She was fine otherwise. So she had strange dreams, a voice telling her what to do.
Did this have something to do with why she found Nicholas familiar when they first met?
She and Nicholas hadn’t met before, had they?
She decided to ask Julia once her and Nicholas’ conversation was over.
Nicholas was confused as well.
He wondered why this happened to him, and if this had anything to do with his conscious.
He’d seen… memories or flashbacks of him and her, he didn’t know what to call it exactly.
Was it the future?
Was it what’d happen in the present?
Or was it from that of the past?
Memories swirled in his head. What could be the explanation for this?
He was wildly confused.
‘Quit wondering why I’m here and just talk to her,’ he heard in his head.
“Shut up,” he said aloud.
He blinked, Sophia turned to stare at him.
She looked at him confusedly, “What?”
Nicholas apologized, “Sorry.”
He wondered what the hell was up with him.
He was slightly relieved he wasn’t the only one going through this, but it didn’t make things any less creepy.
The voice in his head sounded exactly like his.
The man in the memories he’d seen looked identical to him. The only difference between him and… well, him was that he was dressed in clothing that looked to be hundreds and hundreds of years old.
That doppelganger of his definitely didn’t belong to the 21st century.
‘It must’ve been why I found Sophia similar… unless…’
He shook his head, Julia had been surprised they’d met before, so they couldn’t have.
‘Guess that’s crossed out,’ Nicholas mumbled.

“Have you ever believed in fate?” Nicholas asked Oliver.
Oliver raised his brow, “Fate?”
“Yes, fate,” Nicholas confirmed.
Oliver scoffed.
He answered, “Fate’s a load of crap.”
“Well someone’s in a foul mood.”
“I’m always in a foul mood,” Oliver said to Nicholas.
“What a coincidence, Blaine is going on a date with Clarisse as we speak,” Nicholas said.
“Don’t remind me,” Oliver grumbled.
“So he admits it,” Nicholas smirked.
“I admit nothing.”
“The further she gets emotionally attached to him the harder it’ll become when…”
He paused.
“You know what I mean,” he said tensely to his brother.
“You know how much it’ll sting if she gets ripped away from him when things are going great for them,” Oliver said coldly.
“And it’s only that, hm?” Nicholas asked.
“Only that, of course,” Oliver answered.
“But you sound as though you care for the girl.”
“The girl’s Clarisse, not just any girl,” Oliver mumbled.
Nicholas watched amusedly.
Meanwhile, with Clarisse and Blaine…
They clinked glasses.
“I’m so glad we decided to eat dinner together,” Clarisse said right before she took a sip from her wineglass.
Blaine winked at her, taking a sip from his glass of red wine.
Clarisse giggled.
They chatted and dined the night away, so what if they were having dinner in Blaine’s office, it didn’t make things any less romantic and sweet. He’d flown her in for the date – after all it wasn’t too far of a trip.
He’d gone all out for dinner, opting to go with a red wine and steak pairing.
He and Clarisse were on the entrees, and they were bantering and chatting as they ate their dinner.
Clarisse never felt like this before on a date. She felt free to be who she really was, she felt carefree.
She wasn’t a countess to Blaine – she was just Clarisse.
She wasn’t expected to sit a certain way around him, she wasn’t expected to act as a royal would. Things were different, and the way she felt for him… it was indescribable.
He was her first – and hopefully her last.
They’d dated for years before they broke up, so she knew what he was like and frankly, he hadn’t changed much.
Aside from a couple of things, he was the same old Blaine she knew and loved.
He still had that sense of humour she adored, that twinkling smile that lit up the room and the compassion he held towards everyone…
He respected his employees, he didn’t take them for granted, and it said a lot regarding his personality.
He didn’t treat anyone differently because of their background, or what class they belonged to.
He’d supported many worthy causes in the past, donated millions of dollars towards orphanages and starving kids out there… that wasn’t all.
Clarisse’s parents knew their daughter had dated him in the past and had no qualms with it, not until their arrangement with Oliver came into view.
‘Oliver,’ Clarisse thought suddenly.
‘Oh god, him,’ she exhaled deeply.
She had momentarily forgotten about the arrangement her kingdom and Sanguis had made… that they were to be married to establish a strong alliance between Samar and Sanguis.
