Everlastingly Loving You - Chapter 131
Blaine and Clarisse made an amazing couple.
Everyone could see that.
Whenever they were with each other it was like they were in a whole other dimension. Like it was just the two of them in the room.
It was obvious the two were madly in love. It was maddening.
When Oliver thought back to every moment the two of them were together… it was all sunshine, rainbows and butterflies. Like a damn romance novel.
He wished to find someone that’d make him feel that same way. He wished to find someone that’d make him the way he felt whenever he was around her. Whenever he was around Clarisse.
And Oliver didn’t want to admit it, but he was rooting for them. He was secretly rooting for them to get their happily ever after.
Even if he hated the fact someone else made Clarisse happy, and that someone else managed to make her the happiest woman in the world… at the end of the day, she was content. She was happy with Blaine, and not him.
And he convinced himself that… as long as she was happy, he was fine.
But was he?
Was he really fine?
He sighed knowing the truth.
He wasn’t.
He was anything but fine; he could’ve been doing anything else, but instead, he was in love with the one person he couldn’t love.
The world found multiple ways to screw him over. Multiple ways to rethink why he was here and why he was still here.
It was infuriating.
He was stuck. Stuck in an arrangement with a woman he loved but couldn’t have.
What could be worse than loving someone who had eyes for someone else?
Many things actually, but to him, nothing.
Nothing could be worse than the dilemma he was currently in.
He bit his lip, asking his brother, “How do you stop loving someone?”
Nicholas furrowed his brows, “And why are you asking me that question?”
“Because, I’m in need of some advice and you’re one of the only people I can come to.”
He scoffed, “It was either you or your girlfriend.”
“Which is ironic since you and her make an amazing couple other than Clarisse and Blaine.”
Nicholas studied his brother.
“You can’t stop loving someone so easily,” Nicholas admitted.
“You can’t choose when to stop loving someone or when to start loving them, that’s not how loving someone works,” he explained.
“Your heart can’t choose who to love, it’s just… natural and it feels right.”
“When you love someone everything just feels right, and when you love someone, you tell them,” Nicholas continued.
Oliver stared at him, “You’re not helping me.”
“Right, sorry,” Nicholas apologized.
“Just… you can’t stop loving Clarisse because you want to, that’s what I’m saying,” he said.
Oliver nodded, “Yeah.”
Nicholas patted him on the back, “I have no idea what to say to you.”
“So I’m going to sound like every other brother when I say you’ll figure it out,” Nicholas said.
Oliver chuckled, “Thanks.”
He then asked Nicholas, “So, what did Sophia think of Olivia’s wish?”
He laughed.
Nicholas glared at him.
“We’re not having a baby, it’s much too soon.”
“I’m asking what Sophia thought of it, not what you thought of it, dear brother,” Oliver said.
Nicholas glared at him some more.
“Well, she’s fine.”
“She says Olivia’s a child and she doesn’t really know how conceiving a baby works.”
Oliver smirked, “And?”
Nicholas furrowed his brows, “What do you mean, ‘And’?”
Oliver couldn’t believe Nicholas hadn’t any idea what he was talking about.
“Never mind,” Oliver shrugged.
Something clicked in Nicholas.
“Oh god no.”
“We just had our first fight yesterday, why would we–”
Oliver raised his brow.
“Your first fight, eh?”
Nicholas nodded, “Mhm.”
“Perfect couple isn’t so perfect after all,” Oliver mumbled.
Nicholas glared, “Every couple has their ups and downs.”
“So we had one fight.”
“It was our first and last,” Nicholas said.
“You sure you’re talking about fighting and not something else?” Oliver tilted his head to the side.
Nicholas smacked Oliver on the head.
“You are disgusting,” Nicholas said.
“Pure disgusting,” he added.
“This is why you’re single,” he said.
Oliver rolled his eyes.
“How many times do I have to tell you, I chose to be single!”
“Sure,” Nicholas said, patting Oliver on the back.

“Whatever that woman told you, don’t take it seriously,” Marcus told Louis.
“She’s not to be taken seriously,” he said.
“She wasn’t out of line or anything, was she?” He asked worriedly.
“Like she didn’t insult you or told you to leave?”
Louis caressed Marcus’ cheek.
“She was worried about you,” Louis reasoned.
“Anything she said, it’s fine.”
Marcus studied Louis’ face. She must’ve done something out of line.
“What did she do?” Marcus narrowed his eyes.
Louis remained silent.
“I’m not kidding, what the hell did she do?” Marcus asked.
Louis reasoned, “It’s really nothing…”
“Just tell me, and get it over with,” Marcus said in pure horror.
He wondered what his mother did this time. It was the right decision – not communicating with her before the car accident.
Louis began, “You know, you’ve never told me what happened.”
“What happened in the car accident,” he said to Marcus.
Marcus knew Louis was trying to change the subject. It wouldn’t work on him.
“Louis,” he warned.
He had to know.
He had to know everything his mother did.
Louis sighed, “She threw vases on the floor, constantly screamed at nurses at the slightest bit of trouble, and she made everyday a living hell.”
“Is that all?” Marcus asked, seemingly terrified.
“I doubt you’d want to know the rest,” Louis whispered.
Marcus sighed.
“I should’ve had her removed from my visiting list,” he mumbled to himself before glancing up at Louis.
He said out of nowhere, “I owe you an explanation.”
“An explanation as to why I ended up at the hospital in critical condition and how I almost died,” Marcus reminded himself.
“Right,” Louis nodded.
“So what happened?” He asked.
The mood immediately turned grim.
“It was just… my misfortune.”
“I was driving.”
“Just driving, to see you actually at the palace.”
Marcus recalled what’d happened that dreadful day.
It sent chills up his spine.
Had he the choice to forget, he would.
“I was at a red light when out of nowhere, a vehicle slams into my car.”
He inhaled and exhaled.
“And afterwards, my whole world turned black. That’s all I remember.”
“And then I wake up here, in the hospital, with you waiting for me,” Marcus said.
He refused to go into gruesome detail, knowing it wouldn’t do him and Louis any good.
That was enough.
Louis held his hand firmly.
“Are you okay?” He asked firstly.
He looked concerned.
“Of course I am, look at me, I’m no longer in a coma,” Marcus said convincingly.
(Author’s Note: Keep in mind, Louis had told him everything that’d happened to him, including the surgery he underwent, how long he was out and all the other details such as what type of surgery he had, for what reason, and how it went.)
Louis pursed his lips.
“You know I didn’t mean it that way,” he said to Marcus.
Marcus nodded, “Yeah.”
He exhaled.
“I’m fine.”
“I just…”
“Can you stay here?” Marcus pleaded with Louis.
“I’ll get my mother to go, I just… want you to stay.”
Louis didn’t answer.
“Please?” Marcus asked, hoping he’d stay for the night.
“Of course,” Louis answered, ruffling Marcus’ hair.
The small gesture made Marcus smiled relievedly. Phew.
He couldn’t bear to think what it’d be like without Louis.
He was thankful to have Louis who’d waited weeks for him to wake up.
Louis had faith he’d wake up. He never left his side or doubted him once.
He’d been here the entire time, waiting for him to wake up.
It warmed his heart, knowing Louis was there. That he spent countless nights by his bedside hoping and praying for him to awaken after his surgery.
And now, Louis was his boyfriend.
He was his.
He was finally his.
And he couldn’t be more content.

She donned a vintage white floral midi dress with a slit down the side. She looked absolutely stunning. He wore a matching white floral button-down shirt with a pair of blue chino pants.
“You look adorable,” Sophia praised.
Nicholas looked downwards.
“Are you sure?”
Sophia unbuttoned his shirt’s top button. A final touch.
“I’m sure,” she cooed.
“You look amazing.”
“You look amazing-est,” Nicholas said.
“That’s not a word,” Sophia chuckled.
“It is when it comes to describing you,” Nicholas said, shooting his girlfriend a dazzling smile.
Sophia ran a finger through her silky hair, trying not to react.
“Let’s get going,” Sophia said, picking up a chic basket bag.
“The beach awaits us!” She said enthusiastically.
Nicholas sighed, knowing he couldn’t cajole his way into changing outfits.
“Alright,” he gave in, “Let’s get going.”
Sophia let out a cute ‘Yay.’
Sooner or later, they arrived at the beach.
