Everlastingly Loving You - Chapter 134
“And it felt like I was here yesterday.”
“God, am I going to miss this place,” she said, looking out her balcony.
Nicholas headed to the balcony.
“Done packing?” He asked her.
“Yep,” she nodded.
“Ready to leave?” Nicholas asked, peppering Sophia’s neck with kisses.
“Mm, maybe,” Sophia mumbled, still focused on the Sanguisian gardens.
It wouldn’t be a short amount of time before she’d be back here.
She inhaled sharply.
Nicholas looked behind her.
“I have to attend to something,” he mumbled.
Sophia shrugged, “Go, I’ll be fine.”
Nicholas stared at her a bit before staring at the gardens.
“You sure?”
“Really,” Sophia said reassuringly.
Nicholas left.
Sophia rested her head on her hands.
She stared at the same spot Nicholas had been shot.
Strangely, she didn’t feel as scared as she was before.
It was as though she’d made peace with things – she doubted that was the case.
After taking one last look at the gardens and making sure all her things were packed and ready to go, Sophia left her quarters.
Nicholas caressed Sophia’s hand.
“I bet you’re excited to return to Beldovia,” Nicholas said, grinning.
Sophia chuckled, “Would it be shocking if I said I wasn’t?”
Nicholas raised his brow.
“We had our first bonfire date in Sanguis. Frankly, we had an amazing time there,” Sophia said.
Nicholas gasped, “Are you telling me you enjoyed it?”
Sophia rested her head on his shoulder.
“Of course silly, how could I not?” She asked straightforwardly.
“And I couldn’t care less about what we do together.”
“I’m just glad to have done it with you,” a small smile formed on her face.
There was a new glow to her.
A refreshing glow to her he’d never seen before.
Back in Beldovia…
“Morning, darling,” Marcus kissed Louis on the cheek sloppily.
“What time is it?” Louis asked weakly.
He tried opening one eye.
“Why is it so bright?” Louis tried covering the sunlight coming in his quarters with his hand.
“Why aren’t the windows draped?” Louis wondered.
Marcus yawned.
“How am I supposed to know?” Marcus asked, nuzzling his nose in Louis’ neck.
“Let’s stay in,” Marcus suggested.
“I’ve got no complaints,” Louis said in agreement.
“God, I’m so happy you’re here with me,” Louis said.
“You’re okay,” he said reassuringly.
Marcus beamed.
“And I am so fortunate to have someone like you in my life,” he mumbled sleepily.
“Is this your sleepiness talking or you talking?”
Marcus groaned, “What do you think?”
Louis laughed softly, slapping his right hand to his face.
He was happy right here.
Happy being in Marcus’ arms, knowing he was loved.
Knowing he belonged here with him.
He didn’t rather be anywhere else.
Even if Marcus couldn’t feed himself, or couldn’t speak, it didn’t matter.
He’d be there for him.
He’d always be there for him, and Marcus knew that.
Louis chuckled, “I should’ve asked you to be my boyfriend sooner.”
Marcus didn’t deny it, “You should’ve.”
He moved his head to Louis’ stomach.
“Ouch,” Louis winced.
“Sorry,” Marcus apologized, laughing softly.
Louis’ stomach grumbled.
“You’re hungry, huh,” Marcus realized.
“Yeah,” Louis said.
Marcus got up and ran a finger through his hair, searching for the nearest intercom.
“What are you doing?” Louis asked.
Marcus whispered, “Just watch before you continue asking.”
He pressed a few buttons before proceeding to order breakfast for the both of them. Everything they ever wanted to eat, he ordered.
Louis smacked Marcus with one pillow.
“We’re going to get fat,” Louis worried.
Marcus shrugged, “Who cares if we get fat?”
“Julia would–”
“You know what, you’re right,” Louis nodded.
“So long as we get fat together.”
He moved so he was laying right beside Marcus, staring at the ceiling.
“Promise we’ll be able to grow old and fat together?” Marcus asked suddenly.
Louis was surprised by Marcus’ sudden question.
Louis promised, “I promise.”
Marcus purred.
Louis blinked, did Marcus just purr?
“For now, all we can do is wait for the food to come,” Louis said dejectedly.
Marcus said as a form of reassurement, “It won’t feel so long.”
“Not if I find something to distract you with.”
“Oh?” Louis smirked.

“Wake up, sleepyhead,” Clarisse said to Blaine.
Blaine groaned, “But I don’t want to wake up.”
He mumbled cheekily, “Not unless…”
Clarisse furrowed her brows, “Unless what…”
“Tell me your small request and I’ll fulfil it, so long as I can,” she flipped her hair to the side.
Blaine touched his cheek with his finger.
Clarisse chuckled before kissing Blaine a quick kiss on the cheek.
“There, now wake up,” she said, pouting.
“Fine,” Blaine pouted as well.
He turned so he was laying down on his side.
“So, what was yesterday about?” Blaine questioned curiously; his big, innocent eyes staring at her for answers.
Clarisse didn’t know how she’d tell him, so she did the only thing she could think of.
She didn’t tell him a single thing.
“I was feeling under the weather, ‘is all,” Clarisse lied blatantly to Blaine’s very handsome face.
“You sure?” Blaine inquired sceptically.
She felt horrible lying to her boyfriend.
‘One white lie wouldn’t hurt,’ she reasoned with herself, in complete denial that she was in denial, as ridiculous as it sounded.
‘I need to get out of here,’ Clarisse bit her lip nervously.
‘I have to find a way out of here.’
Blaine offered to order breakfast in bed.
Clarisse knew she couldn’t survive breakfast in bed without telling him the truth. She was horrible at keeping secrets. The worst, actually.
“Honey?” Blaine snapped his fingers.
“Earth to Clarisse,” he called.
“Yes?” Clarisse raised her brow.
She apologized, “Sorry, I spaced out.”
She hadn’t heard what he said next.
She grumbled, “I need coffee.”
Blaine looked at her worriedly.
“I could get it for you, you don’t seem well,” he offered.
Clarisse blinked.
“Yes please,” she said, smiling appreciatively at him.
He placed a tentative kiss on her forehead before he got out of bed and left to get some coffee for his girlfriend.

“I’m so glad you came in time to have lunch with me,” Julia grinned.
Sophia smiled and Nicholas took her hand.
“Of course, grandmere,” Sophia nodded.
Unable to spend as much time as she did with her grandmother now, Sophia felt guilty.
Julia was all alone.
Correction, grandmere was all alone.
Grandmere had told her Eleanor had stopped by to visit, but that was all. Work had kept her busy and she had matters to attend to as Dowager Queen, but that didn’t take her mind off of everything completely, Sophia knew that.
She and Nicholas canceled their plans to have lunch with her. If anything, they should’ve been more grateful.
Without her, they never would have met. They never would’ve been able to fall in love or be where they were today without her.
Hell, she was the person who’d tried matchmaking them in the first place. She never forced them to do anything they didn’t want to do, she simply gave them a small push and here they were, dating and very much in love.
Julia chuckled, “What are you doing, sitting there all speechless, dig in!”
She called, “Nicholas dear.”
“How has Olivia been doing?” She questioned sweetly, something very unlike her.
Nicholas wondered what was up with her.
She had this aura about her that made her seem different, he couldn’t tell what it was.
He answered, “She’s been doing great, she’s thrilled we were able to celebrate her birthday with her in person.”
Sophia studied grandmere’s face.
Something was off, she sensed it too.
Nicholas and her exchanged looks.
Far away, in a huge mansion…
“What do I do?”
“What do I do?”
“What do I do?” Clarisse asked, pacing around his bedroom.
“I’m a terrible person.”
“He’s innocent.”
“What do I do?” Clarisse racked her brain.
Why was she making such a big deal out of things?
She reasoned, there came a point in every relationship that one of them in their relationship found things beginning to get boring.
She loved him, she loved him so damn much.
And yet, she felt different than she did before.
When she agreed to try things again, she dove into things.
Maybe even too fast.
But he was so perfect.
He had no flaws to her outside things beginning to get routine.
Everything became common.
It was a different thing that made her rethink their relationship this time.
He’d done so much for her. He’d gone to great lengths to protect her from his family.
And what did she do to him? What did she think of him?
She thought him boring.
He had put her before himself so long as she was safe.
And yet here she was.
She was a horrible person.
Staring at the doorway, she waited for Blaine to return.
She knew she could work her way out of this. Her and his relationship was strong enough, it was worth fighting for.
That was what she promised to do when she agreed to try things again. That was what she signed herself up for again.
But would things go the way she wanted them to go at the end?
