Evil Black Maria - Chapter 94. But I Have No Choice.
–Shizuru did not like the concept of torture.
The act of physically or mentally hurting another person to withdraw information from them or to get them to give in to your demands.
An act that is against everything that is humane, in which a person continues to inflict pain and suffering on another through a variety of methods.
Death was a horror, a pain, and in itself the worst punishment for those who live. To inflict more cruelty and suffering on those who suffer such a terrible punishment was simply too cruel.
Shizuru had always thought so.
In the first place, he was not fond of killing or hurting anyone.
Of course, he did not. He was a kind-hearted person by nature, and a doctor by profession, so there is no way he would like violence.
I don’t want to kill anyone if I could help it.
If I could, I would quit being an assassin right now.
I want to get out of Black Maria, he thought repeatedly every day.
— so, at the very least, when he kills someone, he does it in an instant. No pain, no fear, no knowledge of anything, just a swift death.
That was the way Shizuru always did things.
For him, torture was something that was against his feelings more than anything else. Just thinking about it made his heart ache.
A method that he avoided whenever possible, preferring not to do it or to choose it.
If someone is going to die anyway, there’s nothing better than a painless death.
“Twenty eight”
*stab*
The sound of a blade piercing through flesh, not through her eardrums but through her body, echoed in Izuru’s mind.
“Aghhhh…guh……!!”
Pain shot through her body as if she were being burned alive.
But she couldn’t move any of her limbs, and no matter how hard she tried to scream, she was unable to make a sound.
Her response to the tremendous pain was to arch her back and let out a muffled scream.
“Twenty Nine”
“AAAA…Gi….”
Just as her body somehow began to get used to the pain, the next scalpel was thrust into her arm.
The reason she couldn’t move her limbs was because her tendons had been completely severed, not because of any kind of anesthesia.
There was nothing that could ease the pain of the stab.
“……ugh, guh……”
When Izuru looked down, she saw a silvery scalpel piercing her body everywhere.
Each of the countless stab wounds had skillfully avoided the vital points and were hardly even bleeding.
It was the work of a doctor who knew the human body inside and out.
Despite the pain that was inflicted on her, she had not actually suffered any fatal injuries.
“…..”
However, the sight of dozens of blades being thrusted into her body was certainly wearing out Izuru’s spirit.
In a voice filled with sorrow, Shizuru asks her a question.
“……would you please start talking?”
“Guh….who…!”
Now that all of her friends had been murdered, there was honestly no point in hiding the whereabouts of the documents that Izuru had taken from Black Maria.
It would be easier for her if she revealed it as soon as possible, to avoid any further pain.
Nevertheless, the reason behind her stubborn refusal to talk was quite simple.
Her precious friends were taken from her, her one and only support was destroyed, and she refused to let them get away with it.
This was a sign of her desire to do at least one thing to return the favor.
While shedding tears due to the maddening pain, Izuru continued to glare at Shizuru with a fierce look in her eyes.
It was the first time in a long time that someone had looked at him with such hostility, and he let out a small sigh.
“Thirty”
“HIIHH….guh……!!”
–Without any hesitation, and with machine-like precision, he stabbed deeply into her right thigh.
Shizuru then gently placed his hand on her left thigh, which the scalpels had yet to touch.
“Please……stop being so stubborn.”
Quietly, in her ear.
A mournful whisper echoes from a distance so close that his breath brushes against it.
“I can’t bear to watch. I don’t want to needlessly hurt you any more than I already have.”
“Guh….Don’t talk to me like that——Fuh!?”
Izuru fought back the pain and tried to retort with biting words, but was cut off in mid-sentence.
His breath brushed against her ear.
“Wha, what are……hi~u”
Continuing, he sucked her ear lobe.
A pleasant sensation crept up her spine – a sensation that was so out of place that her mind momentarily stopped.
“I don’t enjoy hurting anyone. Please don’t hurt me so much.”
“Stop……it, stop……!”
The hot tip of the tongue crawling around her ears, the gentle hand stroking and rubbing her thighs.
The pleasure given by this change from the pain from earlier caused Izuru’s halted mind to throb with excitement.
With thirty scalpels piercing her entire body, her mind and body were focused on enduring the pain.
Therefore, her resistance to the opposite pleasure was even lower than normal.
She was caught completely by surprise, so to speak, and was unable to respond to the thirty-first strike.
“Our boss is not interested in you. Just tell us where they are, and we’ll let you go.”
Her mind felt like it was going crazy.
The whisper over the lust-inducing sound of water was so overwhelming that she believed it without question. (1)
“We’ll let your captive companions go as well. I promise.”
“Eh—-eh?”
The resentment and hatred that she felt for him had dissipated before she knew it.
With her mind completely sluggish, Izuru pondered Shizuru’s words.
“What the…..aren’t they, all dead……?”
“……I’m sorry, that was a lie. Except for the two found dead, the rest are still alive.”
Convenient sweet talk that Izuru would have brushed off if it had been her usual self.
But now she wasn’t in any condition to have any doubts.
The softness and warmth of the tongue licking her ear, the sensual sound of water splashing directly against her ear.
A hand stroking her thighs, the faint sound of his breath, the sweet smell in the air, the gentle sound of his beautiful voice.
Everything he said intoxicated and made Izuru melt.
Even the pain that had been so difficult to endure was forgotten.
“But there isn’t much time. We need to move quickly if we are to get you all out of here. Please, tell me where the documents are. If I can just know that, I won’t be blamed for anything.”
A plea filled with sorrow.
Shizuru was crying as he gently moved his face directly in front of Izuru’s and stared at her, his forehead almost touching hers.
“Please. Can you trust me, just once?”
A face very similar to her own.
The sight of him up close made Izuru shiver in the back of her mind.
It was as if the mud in the bottom of the lake had been stirred up slightly.
She felt like she was just one step away from retrieving a memory from the past that she couldn’t remember a single thing about.
“……the inn we’re staying at……under the floor there.”
It was a semi-conscious statement. The kind that just fell out of the mouth.
It was so natural that she was not even surprised, and Izuru felt that she could trust Shizuru.
–as if it had always been so.
“Ah… Thank you so much….”
With a soft smile, Shizuru expressed his heartfelt thanks.
It was a beautiful smile that made her glad that she had revealed the information.
Finally.
“But I’m sorry. Everything was a lie.”
As if in remorse, his smile twisted into a grief-stricken look.
Before she knew it, Shizuru had three scalpels in his hand and stabbed Izuru in the neck.
