Evil Encounters With The Slimy Kind - Chapter 3 Some Secrets Are Meant To Be Kept.

Dwayne stares at the figure at the end of the corridor walking towards him when he realized who she was.

“Shelly!?!”, Dwayne awkwardly blurted out with Jack still hold him like a rag doll with a fist near his face.Shelly was Dwayne’s friend and ultimate crush ever since he first met her in his first year at Milton High despite he himself knowing he won’t be able to woo her.She was the prettiest girl in the school and is part of the cheerleading club . She had a long red hair with chins that could cut glass , her hips were just about perfect along with her smarts (She was the third highest in school last year , just below Dwayne ). Her clothes complimented her look with her skimpy tank top and her sleek yoga jeans.Many male students have a crush on her with 12 proposals within 3 years of high school education ( All of whom failed ). Some of the girls as a result were jealous of her looks.

“Oooo…the heroine trying to save the hero from the baddie huh,or maybe your just one of those fucking gold diggers tha-” Jack was about to joke her about her questionable clothing when he gets slapped in the face.His misfits start to try to run away from her (It’s rumored in the school that she has a black belt in karate and knows Muai Thai)

“You seriously talk too much.” Shelly said as she grabbed Dwayne away from Jack’s grasp.

“YOU SON OF A BITCH , YOUR COMING WI-” An irritated Jack was about to pounce on Dwayne and Shelly when the Vice-Principal , Russo , stepped in asking what was going on with Zane right next to him. Jack’s Misfits tried to make a run for it but was cornered when two teachers blocked the other side of the corridor.

“Students please head back to your assigned classrooms for lessons. While the ten of you are coming with me to the office. You got some explaining to do.” He asserted his voice as he pointed at Dwayne , Jack , Shelly and the other misfits. “Great how am I gonna explain to my uncle…” Dwayne thought to himself as they followed Russo into the Principal’s Office.

Meanwhile 78 km away north from the city , The Arkansas army camp is on high alert. “Jefferson where is Yusuf?” A hot headed FBI agent storms into his makeshift office with his newly dispatched assistant close by. “He is trying get sources for the ‘escaped experiments’ after one ‘triggered’ an explosion that went off at Lawson Bank 3 months ago,Elson.” Jefferson quickly told Elson as he sees him staring through the window at the increasing armada of firearms,armored vehicles,tanks,aircraft and missiles.Elson spots men inspecting to new load along with soldiers training on the grounds and said. “We are taking too long and if we don’t find any sources soon, these slimy experiments could harm more innocent people.”

“Sorry sir if this question is dumb but today is the first day of my job since I was dispatched from the M16 back in the UK and I still don’t understand what’s going on.Can you please tell me so that I can do my job better,”Jefferson nervously asked,unsure what to expect,”I swear I won’t tell anyone sir.”

“Ok. 9 years back in 2010, the government with approval of Mr L.Cambridge started a program called Project Sludge which aims to find the secrets of increasing life expectancy of the human race. Scientists working at ARDENT INDUSTRIES were assigned to this project. They decided to use 7 slimes as experimentation and using several specially created molecules, they managed to create a slime that when tested onto animals managed to make them stronger, faster and more powerful.Jefferson did you know two of these test subjects managed to take on SEVERAL TANK SHELLS AT POINT BLANK RANGE AND WAS COMPLETELY UNHURT?!?” Elson spoke as his words got more frantic. “Ok…” Jefferson quietly spoke to himself, wondering what had he gotten himself into as Elson continued,”During the experiments,it’s noted that the slimes constantly killed off every single host it possesses.In 2014,they were about to test it on humans when one day, there was a massive breakout in the site resulting in 85% of soldiers getting killed, we were unable to find most of the fallen soldiers’ remains with there only remaining several pieces of bone and organs littered around the place.In the skirmish, 4 out of 7 of these slimes managed to escape! If we don’t capture them soon,they would spread across the world,harming other innocent people around the world!…”Elson shouted as Jefferson tried to calm him down with a cup of water from a water dispenser nearby.He calmed down before continuing.”The UN had responded with many agencies on the lookout, I assume that’s why the M16 sent you here.”

“Yes.” Mr Jefferson responded as he worry of the prospect of this untold situation getting out of control. “Ok now that you know I hope I don’t have to repeat this. “Elson sternly said as he gets a nod from Jefferson. “Sir before I leave,may I ask you something?” Jefferson asked.

“Shoot.” Elson said.

“What happens if he knows?”

“Who?” Elson asked.

“Your brother’s son, Dwayne. Your men told me about him earlier today. Your brother and his wife after all perished in that tragedy. He after some time may get curious and eventually find out the dark truth…” Jefferson continued,” If he knows what happened, he may be at risk for he would risk his life to avenge his parents. After all,he is known to be filial and was the most distraught during their passing.”

Elson sighed and responded with little confidence,”I have a plan in case it happens, but for now, we’ll make sure he doesn’t know.”
