After Seo Tae Il is gone, the room has been deadly quiet. Teacher Bae is quietly drinking the tea. Teacher Choi keeps sighing whenever he notices her smiling eyes. She is waiting.

Oh Soon Ri looks at the door. “She is better now.”

“Her aura is stronger.” Teacher Bae puts down the empty cup. “You brought a person with R grade gifts to the academy, but you registered her as an A grade esper. Teacher Choi, can you explain now?”

“It wasn’t confirmed before we officially registered her.” He shifts his gaze. “Now, I will correct it.”

“You are lying.” Teacher Bae smiles wider. “You wanted to monitor her secretly. Is there something that you want to hide from the council?”

He meets her eyes. “What if I do?”

“I will help you then.”

Nam Ji Won looks at her suspiciously. Teacher Bae holds her wrist and checks her pulse. She looks at Choi Min Ho and then, at Nam Ji Won. “Are you feeling well?”

“I think so.” It doesn’t hurt anymore. Physically, at least.

“Your energy is unstable.” She lets go of her wrist. “You need some calming medicine.”

‘Stupid.’ Nam Ji Won hears a voice. ‘Like calming medicine can ever calm you. You are just a small stepping stone in my path.’

“What were you saying about Tae Il?” She looks around the room.

“About that…” Teacher Bae beams a bright smile. Choi Min Ho sighs and says, “Tae Il, do you want to leave?”

“No.” Seo Tae Il’s words are absolute. “If she is staying, I am also staying.”

Nam Ji Won turns around. “What are you talking about? You can’t stay here. Didn’t you hear what I told you about this place?”

“I know.” He crosses his arm. “Supernatural things are real. This academy is a secret academy for special people with special powers. You can wander like a ghost after you fall asleep. You have to go to this academy because of some council’s forced laws. The evil organization kidnapped you and now, it is waiting for you to come to their side. Choi Min Ho is a mind reader. He has manipulated your sister, your mother, and my memories to keep us away from you.” He scowls at Choi Min Ho. “After hearing everything, there is no way that I am leaving you alone.”

“What about your work?” Nam Ji Won knows how much he likes singing and acting. “Go back. I will be safe here. Those crazy people won’t come.”

“Maybe they won’t come.” He points at her. “But, you have been wavering. I don’t trust you.”

“What?” She crosses her arms too and grimaces at him. “What are you talking about?”

“Nam Ji Won, you are an idiot.” He flicks her forehead. “An evil organization is after my girlfriend. Does it make sense that I will leave you here alone? You keep getting into trouble.”

“You are….normal.” She frowns. “You shouldn’t leave everything behind.”

“I am not leaving everything behind.” He smiles at her softly. “I am taking some time off until everything sorts out. It’s only two years.”
