- Chapter 108: All Players Must Level Up!
The Dragontail Kraken and the Monsoon Kraken almost instantly reappeared after Harvard unleashed the Golden Seal on the two coffins.
Not only did it cause quite a commotion, but almost instantly the rain that had finally disappeared began falling down from the sky.
[Infamy – 100]
[Infamy – 1000]
Harvard took a deep breath and smiled while the water touched against his face. Who was he kidding? This was probably an extremely stupid decision that he was going to regret in less than two minutes. He realized he still hadn’t healed yet and his vitality was ridiculously low, and looked back and saw that quite a few of his own teammates were about to attack him.
Not only that, but the Monsoon Kraken and the Dragontail Kraken were about to appear on his otherside and also attack him.
‘Well, I didn’t think this through very well, did I?’
Harvard saw a few daggers thrown in the air from a nearby Rogue Storm Assassin, and the hundreds of arrows that were right next to that dagger going slightly faster. This was really it! This was the moment where it all ended, and a new arc began.
He turned back and saw the Dragontail Kraken in her human form sending her fist towards his face and nodded his head. This was exactly like he expected. Just like when he was a lawyer, sometimes he tried to save someone first before he realized the consequences.
When he first met his girlfriend that killed him a few years later way before he got to this new universe, he actually looked up her file and noticed she had been caught stealing multiple things over the years when she was a child. If only he trusted his instincts then, or did the same now, this probably wouldn’t be happening.
‘I’m a fool! Why? Why does this always happen! I do something good and it all comes back to haunt me later.’
‘Enough!” Glenny, the Monsoon Kraken screamed before all the weapons in the air got sent in the opposite direction. “What is wrong with you people! Even I wouldn’t attack my own teammates! Now damn it! What the hell am I doing out here! I was just about to rest.”
Boom!
After Glenny talked, everyone on the field suddenly got surprised. A second later, the rain stopped falling from the sky. Glenny tugged Howard with Dasota over to the tent where it sounded like something had just ended with Tricky and Hot Yummy.
No one could quite tell what ended, but the crescendo when it happened was quite significant. It sounded like someone had just been made very happy.
“Hamlord, I’m also surprised,” Dasota put her arm around Hamlord and smiled. “You-you could’ve left us in that box for years. You might not know this about Kraken’s, but if we get something, we give it back 100 times over!”
“Then-then why when I released him the first time… Oh nevermnind!” Harvard watched Hot Yummy walk out of the tent with her clothes disheveled, huffing and puffing, and sighed before pointing at the tent flap.
“I-I saw something guys you aren’t going to believe. Can I talk to you about it. It-it has to do with King Yama.”
“Sure,” Dasota said, pinching Harvards cheeks. He lost one Vitality and almost instantly turned paler then he was already. “Wait, what’s wrong with your body. What’s your vitality at?”
“It-it’s not important,” Harvard smiled with ghost blood dripping down his cheeks. “Hehe, this-this is much more important.”
###
Inside Tricky’s tent, what looked like a warzone was visible.
Hamlord had no idea, but Hot Yummy had to do so many things to Tricky to get her to not activate her battlefield design that both girls could hardly walk. Harvard decided instantly, seeing Tricky trembling on the bed, he’d have to repay Hot Yummy later. There was so many things they could do later!
“So, what is it? What did you see?” Dasota sat down, and fixed her blue dress while waving her brown hair behind her head. “Does it have something to do with the fact that King Yama is our distant relative?”
“You guys… you are related to her?” Harvard sat right onto the bed where Tricky was lying and gently covered her body with a blanket. Her blonde hair was draping over her head while she snored with a smile on her face. He nodded his head. He really did have to repay Hot Yummy. “Does that mean you both know about her eliminating planets?”
“Eliminating planets. Why would she do that. She already destroyed 13,500 planets,” Glenny scoffed before he suddenly turned pale. “Wait, why? Did she say something. I-I thought she’d just pick people from planets and make them go to other planets. Wait, what did you hear? Tell me man! I’m freaking out!”
“She-she said that if we didn’t increase our level by 1.3 in the next 9 days I think… We were going to get destroyed. Something like that! It-it should be slightly better since we defeated you two, but… I-I don’t even know how many ghost adventurers there are in this continent! How the hell am I supposed to know how we can increase the level of this entire planet!”Harvard somewhat trembled while Snow Lilly walked in and immediately pounced on Snow Lilly.
The two of them knocked Tricky off the bed and what sounded like guns loading could be heard. Harvard ignored it before he continued.
“Anyways, do you really think that was King Yama?”
“Most definitely,” Glenny said, looking at the two girls kissing on the floor. “Dasota. By the way, since we’re a True NPC, we can access the overall level of the planet right.”
“Mmmm, hold on! She’s kissing my neck!” Dasota laughed and pushed Snow Lilly away. “Stop it girl! I-I can talk to you later, hehe! Anyways, Harvard, the overall level of this world is level 12. That’s really strange. Even considering some people are afraid to level up, haha! That’s nuts! Hahaha! Stop it Snow Lilly! I’m ticklish there!”
“Ugh, are you kidding me?” Harvard said, “That-that means we have to somehow get people who are scared of fighting monsters to level up. Either that, or something else has to be done. Are you able to check the overall level of areas?”
Harvard looked down at Snow Lilly and Dasota after a cover fell on them along with Tricky. Tricky rolled into the center of the two girls, but they just moved her over a little bit and another part of the remote she was holding activated.
One more second passed, and missiles firing and what sounded like screams appeared.
‘I-I know I should care about what’s happening out of the tent, but this is more important!’ Hamlord looked outside and saw a few bodies shooting into the air. “Glenny, do you happen to know the area with the weakest overall level.”
“I-I don’t right now, but I can find out,” Glenny said, patting Hamlord on the back. “Come on. I’ll take you to my underwater palace. You and your unnamed guild can come by the way. Since you saved me so quickly, and I didn’t have to suffer like I did the last time I was sealed in the mountain, it’s the least I can do. That-that’s the answer to the question you asked earlier by the way. If you left me there for a day, I would’ve never helped you, but since you were so fast! Consider us friends until at least I repay you! Haha, come on! Let’s go.”
Glenny patted Hamlord on the back, and he instantly gulped.
[-1 Vitality]
[-1 Vitality]
Seeing that he only had one vitality left, he instantly felt a cold force running through his body. It’s like his soul was about to leave if he got hit one more time
“Ah! It’s terrible! Help us!”
Boom!
Harvard heard an explosion and watched a rock shooting right towards his face. He couldnt’ believe it! Was he about to die because of a rock!
“Full heal!” A hand seemed to reach into the tent and touch Hamlord on the head before he instantly felt his soul returning to his body.
He was beyond shocked! The healer in front of him could not be described with words! She was simply too beautiful! However, he wasn’t even sure if she was really a she! She could really just be a pretty man.
“I come bearing word from the Dame Continent. Could I speak to you for a moment?” The mysterious woman said. “It’s very important I speak to you before they arrive. Can we please talk in a remote location. The explosions around here might interrupt the quality of our conversation.”
