- Chapter 48: Legendary Dark Assassin Melvin
Harvard regretted almost everything that happened in the last 12 hours.
He’d been stomped on by children, spit on by accident, almost incinerated, confessed to by strange women that liked evil men, and also wrestled once with Shea and May each to try and reduce his sadness. They didn’t conceive, so that was also upsetting!
And now he was in a strange old ladies house that had dozens of children hidden in random places! There was one under the chair crying, but it stopped when another baby pushed it out of the chair!
“My son sent you that quest.” The lady took off her brown dress and tossed it aside. She had a small child on her back underneath the dress in a pouch. What the hell was that? “Sorry, I know this looks weird, but my son has a lot of children that he has to hide. I’m one of their protectors.”
“Oh,” Harvard watched the lady take off her glasses and suddenly she looked very pretty. She tossed aside her boil and took off a fake plastic nose and tossed aside the grey wig as well. Now she looked even prettier. She had amber hair with freckles and the cutest well proportioned pink lips with brown eyes and like one wrinkle next to her eyes maximum. He nodded his head in understanding. “So, your son is a player? He likes to have children with women and not tell his wife?”
“He-he’s just a drinker,” The woman laughed. “His wife doesn’t mind because she knew she married a lecherous man, but the Central King does care! If he found out my son had 150 children, he’d be killed! Luckily, we have a pretty good system to hide them!”
“Oh,” Harvard nodded his head. “His wife doesn’t mind. Would he mind if I met his wife?” Harvard coughed and imagined having to conceive 150 children. That had to be at least 50 women with 3 children each! What kind of man was that! “Anyways, your son needs my help right?”
“Yes, I have a quest for you. Will you accept!” The lady opened a cabinet that had three baby beds and tossed a paper onto the desk. “Since you can’t accept quests, I wrote a fake one for you.”
[New Quest Received] (This is a paper not a real quest)
[Rescue Vanish Mina]
[Vanish Mina is the daughter of Duke Mina and she needs your help. The Duke Mina accidentally had an affair with the 10th wife of the First Dark Guild’s grandson, and Vanish Mina might be his daughter so he rescued her. However, genetic test results have not been determined! It’s possible it’s Duke Mina’s child! Save her so she can choose her father!]
[Reward: 10000 Benevolence]
‘Are you kidding me? I’m supposed to rescue a women from her own potential father,’ Harvard obviously had no choice but to accept, but felt a little ridiculous. “Where is the First Dark Guild? Where can I find them?”
“They own the orphanage down by the water,” Duke Mina’s mother smiled and took a baby out of her dress. “Don’t worry! Ha, they may rescue children, but it’s only to raise them to be evil!”
###
[19 days until Monsoon Kraken kills everyone and their children and makes an underwater paradise.]
Harvard took a deep breath and got out of bed. He decided to sleep and wait for it to be morning before he tried to complete the Quest to save Vanish Mina.
Snow Lilly had also stopped by because she missed Harvard, and wanted to se him before she possibly died in the dungeon competition. She was going to ask Harvard to compete in it, but he was busy trying to save the world, or something.
Snow Lilly had gotten to know Tabitha and Donkey, and the three of them were all trying to make sure Harvard didn’t accidentally kill himself doing something stupid like messing with the First Dark Guild. For some reason, Snowy couldn’t stop thinking about Harvard, and it really bothered her. What if he died? Then who would be around for her to use his shower?
“Dude, you’re the only person I can be a guy around! You can’t die!” Tabitha and Donkey kept Snow Lilly’s secret well, so they were allowed to be included. “Come on, man! You’re the only one I can just be myself around! I can lay back on the couch and leave my legs open with a skirt on! You won’t stare! I’ve seen it!”
“I know,” Harvard gently brushed aside Snow Lilly’s hair. “However, that’s why you must keep completing for a spot in the Dungeon Competition. It’s almost 11:59 AM. I have to go destroy some children’s lives.”
“I’ll miss you!” Snowy cried, “You’re too good to me man! Give me a hug!”
Tabitha and Donkey watched Harvard get hugged by a big breasted beautiful woman and somewhat guffawed. They really did seem like normal friends, but if anyone else saw this they’d think it was something else. However, it was the most friendly hug ever. Pat! Pat!
“Kick ass, Hammy!” Snowy waved while Harvard took out his Magnificent Daylight Daggers! “I’ll be out! Securing our spot in the Dungeon Competition!” Snow Lilly sighed and looked at Harvard disappear towards the beach.
However, a second later, she looked extremely upset. She couldn’t bare to tell Harvard she’d have to kick him out of his own guild soon because they could’t compete in the Dungeon Competition because of him.
If he didn’t complete the benevolence quest in an hour, she’d have to take all her guildmates and leave and form a new guild. Obviously, she couldn’t really kick out the leader, but if they all left it was the same thing!
“Ugh, let’s hope the quest isn’t too hard!”

Harvard had the maximum amount of confidence in himself as he dashed out in the rain.
The sky’s were obviously overcast with about an inch of water on the road, but he could still run pretty fast.
Unfortunately, even with his huge agility boost + 6600 and damage boost 3300, he completely underestimated the level of the NPCS from the First Dark Guild.
The First Dark Guild was literally the first Dark Guild ever to exist and had NPCs that had been part of one of the first branches of NPCs to be created by King Yama. Basically, they had been around since this Kart95 had been created, and could kill Hamlord in their sleep at a regular time of day! When the Menace Lord had been around before he had created the Magnificent Noon Ruler Class, so too had the First Dark Guild. In fact, the Menace Lord did quests for the first dark guild and came up with the class during those quests! And the man he did quests for happened to be standing outside the front of the Dark Guild’s Orphanage holding a child’s hand!
[Legendary Dark Assassin Melvin]
[Level 450]
[Potential Great Grandfather of Vanish Mina and father of her potential father, Vanish Ray]
[He saw you coming from a mile away.]
‘You can come here, Hamlord!” The man smiled and waved to Harvard. “I knew you were coming! Come here, so I can see you.]
[New Quest Offered]
[Automatically declined]
‘Ugh, I guess that would’ve been a quest to go there,’ Harvard smiled and rushed over and got there in 5 seconds. He only had 2 minutes left of the Magnificent Noon Ruler Skill. “Hi, were you going to let me get Vanish Mina and take her home.”
“Of course not! I’d kill you!” The man laughed and patted Harvard on the back. “I’m just out here to tell you to scram! Don’t you dare think of trying to steal my granddaughter until the test results come back in 19 days! Now go, or this grandfather will kick your ass!”
“I got to try!” Harvard pulled out his dagger and tried to activate Magnificent slash, but his dagger was gone and so were his pants. “Damn it! I failed!”
“You really want to get benevolence. I got a real quest for you,” The man smiled and pointed at the doorway to the orphanage. “Come inside. I got a quest that will give you 20,000 benevolence and 1,000,000 experience!”
