Extreme Flame Wizard - Chapter 184: The Lunch and the Wizard
Ch. 184: The Lunch and the Wizard
After fighting intensely, the last match of the morning was over, and everyone headed for their break.
Igni and his friends went to sit in the spectator seats to eat lunch.
Yoori: “Wow, you can’t even tell that it was cut off.”
Igni: “My arm? Yeah, he fixed it right after it was cut, and the cut itself was very clean.”
Igni lifted his arm to show Yoori where the wound used to be.
Edward had picked up Igni’s arm and healed the arm back into place.
In the first place, Edward was a [Life] : [A] Healer. He has the skills to even grow lost limbs. If Igni still had his arm, then it was easy enough for Edward to put it back.
Iris: “Sir Igni! Over here! Over here!”
As Igni approached the seats, Iris and her group had already arrived and beckoned them over.
Iris: “Look at this! I made this lunch by myself!”
Igni: “Oh! That’s amazing.”
Iris: “Hehehe, I wanted you to try some, Sir Igni.”
Iris handed Igni a large lunch box that shined brilliantly with an assortment of different dishes.
Igni: “Thank you, Iris.”
Iris: “You’re very welcome!”
Iris blushed with a hint of embarrassment.
Seeing that, Alicia’s face contorted ever so slightly.
Not noticing the shift, Igni was about to eat when he heard a familiar voice behind him.
“Um…….eーexcuse me. CーCan I….please join you?”
Igni turned to see Estea also holding her lunchbox.
Igni: “Oh, hey Estea. Nice timing. Yeah, let’s eat together. Come on over.”
Lilly: “Miss Estea, you can sit here.”
Lilly pointed to an open seat and guided Estea there.
Alicia: “Estea…..you mean, that Estea?”
As soon as Estea sat down, Alicia whispered discretely to ask Igni. Igni didn’t know what she meant by “that”, but he nodded to answer her question.
Igni: “Yeah, it’s that Estea.”
Alicia: “Well, that’s quite unexpected.”
Igni: “Yeah, she’s apparently a fan of mine.”
Alicia: “A fan? Of yours??”
Alicia’s eyes widened, and Igni could see confused question marks popping out from Alicia.
Alicia: “Since when did you have time to make a fan club?”
Igni: “No, I really don’t know much of the details. She heard a lot of rumors about me…….and apparently that’s where it started.”
Alicia: “Hmph…..I see…”
Alicia blew out a short breath.
Igni saw that she meant a lot of things by that sigh, but he would not be able to understand Alicia fully.
Alicia: “Well, I guess that’s okay. I was interested in getting to know her too.”
igni: “Interested?”
This time, Igni was the one who scattered question marks all around him.
Alicia: “Of course, I’ve heard rumors of the genius Wizard with talent in every type of Magic. Who wouldn’t be interested?”
Igni: “I see.”
Many Wizards would choose one type of Magic as their main, and then learn a sub-type to support their main type. But Estea, from the beginning, learned to handle every type, and there were very few Wizards who could brag of doing so. That’s why she was given her Wizard’s Title.
Alicia: “Nice to meet you, Miss Estea.”
Estea: “YーYes! And who might you be?”
Alicia: “I am Alicia. Can I ask you a few questions?”
Estea: “YーYes! Of course!”
And with that Alicia and Estea began chatting about all sorts of Magic.
But Igni did not enter into the conversation.
For him, he could only use one type of Magic and only one Spell for that matter.
So for him, he had little to gain about learning about other types of Magic and their higher tier Spells.
Lilly: “Igni, it will be busier this afternoon, so do your best!”
Igni: “Yup, I know. I’ll do my best.”
This afternoon, the number of individual matches will increase.
And in order to handle so many matches, the Student Council members were sent out to be judges.
Igni had 2 matches in the afternoon that he had to judge.
Igni: “Lilly, you already judged a match today, right? How was it?”
Lilly: “It was one of the early matches, so both competitors did not use any major Spells. They cast a few Spells, and it was over.”
The judge is responsible for determining the winner, but they were also tasked with stopping Wizards who were going too far.
That’s why not anyone could be a judge.
But this was the first day and the beginning of the Individual Competition, so there were very few intense fights.
But as the Competition moved forward, the skilled and talented ones would move up, so the semi-finals and finals would be judged by the teachers and faculty.
Igni: “Hm? Oh yeah, where’s Hayem?”
Yoori: “Miss Hayem was taken away by President Miru. She was asked to rebuild the fields.”
Yoori pointed, and Igni saw Hayem floating over the Ice Field.
Igni: “……she’s got her work cut out for her.”
Yoori: “She didn’t seem to mind. I think she liked being depended on.”
Igni: (I guess for Dragons, they appreciate having people depend on them.)
Igni smiled at the thought.
Estea: “UーUm, Mr. Igni.”
Finishing her conversation with Alicia, Estea came over to talk to Igni.
Igni: “Hm?”
Estea: “ThーThis afternoon, we have our Class Competition Match, but do you have any advice?”
Igni: “Advice? Hmmmm, it’s a group competition, so maybe just make sure everyone matches their pace with everyone around them?”
For Class D, it’s better said that they catered their entire strategy around Igni though.
Estea: “IーI see. Make sure everyone matches with everyone else…….”
And Estea clenched her fist with determination.
Alicia: “You can just do as you please. Isn’t there someone leading Class E?”
Estea: “YーYes.”
Alicia: “Then just follow that leader’s orders. I’m sure they know what they’re doing.”
There are a lot of extraordinarily talented individuals in the Rolmod Wizard Academy, but there are some who actually shine when working as a large group. In other words, it’s the Wizards who are talented in leading people.
Edward is a good example, and many who have that talent are unknown. So there is a chance that there is someone like that in Class E.
Estea: “YーYes, you’re right! I will do my best just like you, Mr. Igni!”
Igni: “Yeah, do your best.”
Estea: “And that match before, that was amazing! I never thought you would sacrifice your left arm!”
Igni: “That was a sort of trap to lure Elina. Besides, I knew we had a Healer in our Class.”
Estea: “Even then! Normally, you can’t sacrifice your arm just like that!”
Igni: “If that’s what it takes to win, then it was a small price to pay.”
For 2 years, Igni lost limbs on a daily basis, so he perceived his body very differently than the people around him.
But it would be much later when he realizes that.
