Fall For Me - Chapter 15 Disappointmen
For the rest of that night Jun was loafing around in his room practicing his Dao control and was training in the Enlighten Soul Manual. Throughout the night he was refining his soul. Even through his soul was in the Kings Realm Jun noticed how weak his soul was. It was like a big fat piece of tofu. This technique not only expend his soul but strengthens it.
After 5 hours that night Jun has managed to refine his soul 3 rounds and his soul which was 10 meters tall before became 9 meters tall but it was much stronger than before. It was like his tofu soft soul gained a leather armor.
When his eyes opened up again it was already morning. After brushing his teeth he went downstairs to eat. He walked into the dining room and noticed his breakfast was on the table with no one around. His chest tighten for a second before picking up the chopstick as he digs into his meal.
Later he went back into his room to practice the Enlighten Soul Manual. Even through he lost his cultivation he didn’t feel extremely down. Instead he shifts his thought into thinking of this as a challenge. Life is a bumpy road.
Later that day at around 6 o clock his father finally came home.
“Jun come to my office,” his father’s voice echoed in his head.
Jun got up and walks up to his dad’s office door. His father’s office was surrounded by a hundred formations intricately linked together to prevent even a Peak Heaven’s realm from barging in and doing whatever they want. Jun’s dad had absolute control over the formation which makes it even more terrifying.
“Come in,” his father said in his head and the formation opens a hole for Jun to enter.
“Hi dad,” Jun said shyly. His father sat in his office chair with his hair combed back. He had a fair complexion and looked to be in his mid thirties. Even through his body was covered in clothes one can still tell how tone and strong his muscles were. His stare was like being peered down by a predominant archaic beast.
His dad instantly sense that something was wrong with Jun. He couldn’t sense a single ripple of energy from Jun’s body. Xing Tian’s face frowned as there could only be one reason.
“Your cultivation…” Tian said.
“I lost my cultivation.” Jun flat out stated.
“What happen!” He bellowed angrily. “Who did this!”
“Its nobodies fault. I messed up.”
“What do you mean nobodies fault? Where was Bu Fan in this? Wasn’t he suppose to protect you?” His father questioned.
Jun didn’t have the guts to answer.
“What did you do? Did you try to run away again. Why do you always do this stupid sh*t. Now look at you!”
“Dad I don’t want to inherit your position. I want to travel the world and meet new people. Learn new things. I don’t want to be trapped here like this.”
Xing Tian’s face looked furious.
“How many times have I told you! You are inheriting my position in the future and that is final. I am doing this for your own good!”
“My own good?” Jun questioned as his anger began to boil up. “I have no opinion in any of the things I do. I can’t do anything without your approval.”
“Because I am your father and because of stupid sh*t like this!”
“I wanted to learn pill forging and I somehow ended up owning a company and have to train and study crazy hours to please you! I told you I don’t want to marry that girl but you already plan my engagement and wedding without even asking me!”
“You don’t understand anything! Just because of some stupid praises you let it get to your head!” His father shouted.
“Like what! Because she is rich and has a high status in the city?”
“High status? They have the highest status in this forsaken city! Do you know how many people wish they can marry the city lord’s daughter but can’t!”
“That sounds like their problem not mine!”
“I’m doing this for your own good. What is there not to like about it? You got income, a powerful backing, and strength. Do you know how many people wish they were you?”
“Wish they were me? All they see is the glory I achieved and not the hard work I put in!” Jun shouted back. “Working on my pill studies 8 hours a day. Then cultivate for the next 10 hours. After that I have to practice martial techniques, and sword arts. I don’t even have time to sleep. Day in day out thats all I do. You think any of them are willing to put in this work?”
“You are my son. You are suppose to work that hard. Look at your sisters! I don’t see them trying to run away every couple of months.”
“My sisters? You treat them like royalty. They can do whatever the hell they want and still won’t get in trouble. I worked 10 times harder them and all I get from you is a couple good job over the phone. Even when I control 63 percent of the pill market you question why I don’t have 100 percent. Never once have I received your approval. Even now you don’t give a dam about me. All your worried about is how you are going to look to the public!”
“Why I treat them so well? Its because they don’t throw tantrums like a spoil brat everyday!”
“I told you I don’t want to inherit the family head position! Xing Feng is more than willing to inherit but because she’s a girl you won’t let her!”
“You think it would be easy for a girl to inherit the gang? You think the elders of this gang will just accept it willy nilly? She is strong but her talent is nothing compared to your’s!”
“So what! Then am I just suppose to follow your example? Live like a zombie through it all?”
“When have I ever not let you do something? You wanted to learn alchemy I hired the best of the best for you. You wanted to learn martial arts I hired the best teachers for you. It is because I spoil you too much that you are like this!”
“Spoil? You spoil my sisters not me! Do they have an arranged marriage? Do they have to do anything that they protest about? Dad I just want to make my own decisions and live my life how I see fit.”
“A life like that will only leave you in regrets! You think life is easy out there? You think without my help you will be where you are today? How come you never understand what I am doing for you?”
“Dad I know what you are trying to do for me and I appreciate that but I want to make my own decision.”
“You’re gonna make mistakes making your own decisions. I have already lived through this. I have already gone through it. I am trying to prevent you from making regretful decisions. Look at what happen when you make your own decisions. You lost your dam cultivation!” Xing Tian tried to reason calmly.
“Your not listening dad!” Jun shouted back as his voice grew angrier and angrier.
“Listen to what! That you want to waste away your life wandering around some nameless territories? That you want the most gorgeous of girls? Whats wrong with the City Lord’s daughter? I have seen and met her. She is decent looking, with a great personality. She is kind, caring, talented and smart. What more can you ask for?”
“I am done. I am done trying to please you and get your approval. Not once during this conversation have you asked me how I am feeling or ask how you can help. It has always been you, you, you. You are always working and not around. Whether when I am sick, or injured it is always the maid and servants taking care of me. Not once have you care! Everything else is always more important.”
“Is that what this is about? Me working grinding my life away to provide you and your sisters a better future than the one I had? Man up and stop acting like a kid.”
“Acting like a kid? When have I ever had the chance to act like a kid with you? I am either studying, practicing, or working. I don’t even have social life outside of this family. I am not even allowed to go to college because you don’t want me to travel.”
“Whats the people of going to a college when I can bring the college to you!?” Xing Tian barked back. “I don’t see your sisters complaining about it and they aren’t even allow to go just like you.”
“You know what I am glad I lost my cultivation! If I had to do what I did to lose it I would do again ten thousand times!” Jun yells back in spite.
Xing Tian didn’t notice that he was standing up and Jun shouted that. For the first time in a long time he felt disappointed in his son. He sighs and sat back down. “For the first time I feel disappointed in you. Go leave my office. Pack up your things and do whatever you want. I don’t have a unfilial son like you anymore.”
