Fall For Me - Chapter 42 7 Heavenly Tribulation Lightning
It didn’t take long before Bu Fan came to pick up Jun.
“Young master I feel like you’re a lot stronger than you were before,” Bu Fan chuckles.
“My qi is still in the peak martial realm. It still hasn’t broken through to the Master realm. When it does I feel like I can easily beat the initial stage Kings Realm. Oh I also need to stop by Grandpa Yun’s shop before heading back.” Jun answered as he got in the car.
“Sure. Just so you know the Black Empyrean and White Fiend-God method is an ancient cultivator manual. Of the 10 strongest cultivation methods in this world it is listed as number 10. Not because it is the weakest but because of the drawback. If we compare it to the strongest method then it is 2 to 3 times stronger but the flaw is too great. The more you use it the easier your soul and body will get consumed by the Fiend-God bloodline.”
“At the end of the day its still the individual and not the technique that makes a person strong,” Jun said.
“Hahaha I feel like the young master has matured since you lost your cultivation. Your eyes and aura are both sharper. If I didn’t know any better you are practicing sword arts,” Bu Fan said stroking his chin.
“Nothing could ever escape you could they old man,” grinned Jun. “But yeah I’m practicing my sword art again. I noticed it was way to weak before. I had almost no offense ability.” Jun continued as a miniature white sword appeared above his palm. It began to dance as it faded in and out.
“Shadow sword essence?” Bu Fan exclaim in surprise as his eyebrows shot up.
“Whats shadow sword essence?” Jun asks in confusion. He was a genius in alchemy and studied that indepth but when it came to other fields in has the general knowledge but not the in depth ones.
“So sword art can be divided into 2 major and 3 minor. The three major are defense, offense, and heart. Then those three majors are divided into yin-yang sword, shadow sword, heart sword, oblivion sword, and flow sword. Yin-Yang is defense. Shadow Sword is offense but best usage is assassin. Heart Sword is control. Oblivion is pure destructive sword essence. While flow sword essence can be described as counter. Every sword art is made up a mixture of these essence. Some lean toward offense while others toward defense.” Bu Fan explains.
Jun sat there thinking about it and suddenly it clicked on him. The pieces that he felt he was missing was exactly that. He was training in Yi Shi’s sword art which had the essence of flow, yin-yang, and even heart sword but it was missing the oblivion and shadow. I deride shadow from his sword art because I was focus more on speed and offense rather than defense. Sitting there Jun was feeling more, more excited like a dam that just broke flooding him with inspiration.
The miniature sword began to react his thoughts as it splitting, spinning, fading, and surging with power. Jun closes his eyes as he began putting those inspiration into theoretical practice.
Bu Fan who sat next to him nodded in approval as he put up a protective barrier. His face was also full of delight.
“This kid really is a genius like his mother,” Bu Fan chuckles to himself silently as he reminisce of the past.
“Xu Hua! Get over here!” Bu Fan shouted loudly in a playful manner to a 13 year old girl.
“No!” She shouted back sticking out her tongue as she hops over the wall. Before she could even land a mysteries power grabbed ahold of her and brought her back.
“No fair thats cheating!” She complained.
“You need to study. The exams are coming up soon.”
“But it is so boring and repetitive!”
“We can not build a lasting tower without a strong foundation.”
“Ugh you’re so cheesy,” Xu Hua pouted.
“Alright how about this. Study and memorize this formations and later I’ll teach a new sword arts.” Bu Fan winks. This should keep you occupied for a month or so.
“Really!” She shouted in excitement. “Alright watch me!”
Five minutes later she took out a couple formation flags threw it into the field. Energy began charging into the formation before being balanced out and creating a lightning field.
“Done,” she said gleaming with a bright smile.
Bu Fan’s jaw drops to the floor. He glances over at the hour glass and not even five minutes has passed. This is a grade three formation! Fuck! I didn’t even learn grade three formations till I was sixteen. Took me a month to master and a whole thirty minutes to set up. Oh my god this child is gonna give me a lot of headache he cried to himself.
“How is that?” She asks. “I’m smart right?”
Smart? I’ll flip a table if your only smart! I was considered a genius was I was younger. If your smart then I might as well have the intelligence of a gold fish!
“Hahaha yeah smart. Here try this formation too.” Bu Fan said handing her another scroll.
“No sword art first! You promise!”
“Yes, yes. Look there’s your father. Lets do a couple more formations before I teach sword arts okay?” Bu fan persuaded.
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
“Pinky swear?”
“Alright lets pinky swear on it.”
Then the two reached out their hands and pinky swore to each other.
…Back to the present…
About 20 minutes later they arrive in front of Grandpa Yun’s shop except Jun was still in his meditation.
“Park there. We will wait till the young master is done,” Bu Fan commanded.
“Yes sir.”
The car set there for about half an hour when they heard a knock on the window.
Bu Fan rolled it down and there stood Bai Yun peering through the window.
“Ah Blacksmith Yun how are you today?”
“Not bad not bad. What are you doing parked here and not coming in?”
“The young master having an epiphany and cannot be disturbed. We’ll come in once he finishes.” Bu Fan explains.
“Those moments are pretty rare,” Bai Yun replied stroking his chin. “Oh right you came at a perfect time. It’s regarding the sword blacky. Never understood why he gave the sword such a dull name.”
“Blacksmith Yun what about blacky?”
“It was strange. I put it in a crystal casing before and just a couple day ago the sword broke the crystal and began to self absorb. I figured the boy must have got his cultivation back somehow.”
“Mhmm.” No wonder he didn’t look surprise at the young master’s epiphany Bu Fan thought.
“So that got me thinking. In the end I decided to use that item to repair the sword.”
“You mean that item that you been holding since 40 years ago and would even forge me a sword from?”
“Yes,” Bai Yun smirks.
Bu Fan rolls his eyes. “You wouldn’t even make me a sword with it and you used it on a hunch?” If you were anyone else I would flip you across the planet right now!
“Its not what you think. The sword and that item was reacting to each other somehow. It was only when I brought it near the sword that a fusion began. Otherwise I couldn’t even forge it if I wanted to.”
“Ai ya! That is a piece from a pure blooded dragon bone!”
“With my cultivation strength I couldn’t even forge it if I wanted to. From the moment it started to fuse the sword began to melt together with the Dragon bone. Then a strike of Heavenly Tribulation lighting! F*ck I got so scary I nearly cough cough anyway the first strike struck the sword with full force. I thought it broke but it glowed bright red as the cracks were mending itself. I heroically rush forward and began the forging process. Not even 10 minutes later another heavenly lightning struck down for 7 times! 7 f*cking time!”
“Will you relax? You’re already so old why are you acting like a three year who saw snow for the first time.” Bu Fan teasingly mocked.
Bai Yun gave Bu Fan the finger before continuing. “Long story short the sword is completely fixed again and is definitely 10 times stronger than before and the growth attribute became even stronger. Also after one night of cooling blacking developed the chooser ability. Meaning the sword will now choose the owner. Thats why you guys came at a perfect time.”
Bu Fan was extremely excited as he felt like a ten year old experiencing the world for the first time. This was his first time creating a legendary grade weapon. The swords current strength is not there yet but with that boy’s talent it should have no problem reaching it in the future.
Bu Fan went into deep contemplation as he thought about the 7 heavenly tribulation lightning that forged the sword. 7 Heavenly tribulation lightning isn’t something to laugh about. When humans try to jump from King’s realm to Heaven’s realm they would have to face it. Cultivators always need ample preparation for it. Failure would cause great injuries and even death. But that wasn’t what he as confused about. The young master just went through a complete body modification from human to half human, half fiend god. Does that mean the sword sensed it and went through the same process? If I remember currently the sword wasn’t sentient yet. Therefore what and who activated? The process is in reverse. The normal process would be for Jun to give the sword its blood first which would activate the growth effect in the sword an from there cause that chain reaction.
As Bu Fan was contemplating Jun slowly opens his eyes as a surge of sword qi raced through his eyes and body. At the same time he felt a slight calling inside his brain. The same one when a person is hungry and the voice would tell him to eat.
