Fall For Me - Chapter 9 Your Guide Is Right Here
In a 10 minutes they arrive in front of a lushly decorated store. There were flowers around the entrance and the glass door made it seem like he was at a flower shop. When Jun got out he quietly enters the store. Blacksmith Bai Yun instantly caught his attention. He was a four feet tall dwarf with a raggedy beard and rough skin. Blacksmith Bai Yun was actually talking to another customer who wore a royal blue checker pattern suit.
“You hear Xing Tian that gangster is trying to get a license to start up a hotel in the Ziwa district. Laughable!” the royal blue checker pattern suit guy said.
“Why does it matter?” the Blacksmith asks.
“You haven’t heard?” the other guy asks in surprise.
“About what?”
“Rumors say that he slaughtered a whole entire city with his White Dragon gang back in the day.”
Blacksmith Yun’s eyes-brows shot up in surprise.
“How is that even possible? The government would never leave him alive if that was the case.”
“The government was useless. My grandfather was one of the people he killed that day. Many of us tried to pressure the government but they won’t budge.”
“Even so how could he possible be that strong. The last time I saw him was when he came in here to get me to specially forge a sword for his adorable little boy Jun. He was only at the mid King’s realm stage.”
Another customer then chimes in.
“I heard he was possessed by a demon.”
“You guys are full of shit,” the blacksmith laughs.
“Che! You live under a rock. What do you know. Don’t you think its weird that his son somehow controls the majority of the pill market?”
“His pills are good. It’s effects are much better than the market’s,” Bai Yun praises.
“Doesn’t matter look at Black Water City. The McKenzie a noble family there only controls 30 percent of the market and their pills are clearly 20 percent better than the overall market and yet they only control 30%,” the stranger said in anger.
“Hahaha you do also realize they also sell it for more. Not many people can afford it. Just the fact they control 30% of the market is already a blessing.”
“I’m telling you he definitely used some back channel to help his son.”
Suddenly one of the attendants noticed Jun and went up to greet him.
“Hi sir how can I help you?” the beautiful lady asks.
“I’m just looking.” Jun replies waiting for Blacksmith Bai Yun to finish his conversation.
“Hey young man you know about Xin Tian that gangster?” the guy in suit asks.
“Not really sir,” Jun answers but inwardly he rolled his eyes and commented if I don’t know him who would?
“Well just know this. That bastard slaughtered a whole city and got away with it.”
“Were you there sir?” Jun asks.
“Eh no.”
“Then how do you know if you were not there? Also how could the government not arrest someone who slaughtered a whole city? So sir I think you might just dislike him and bias to any negative news towards him.” Jun retorted.
“So you’re saying that the Dragon Guard’s info are not trustworthy?” the suited man scoffed.
“Even if it is. They were not there and neither were you. So you have no idea what happened. There are more to a story than one side,” Jun argued back as his voice became louder.
Over the years Jun has heard this over and over from people in the upper echelon. That his father is murderer, a psychopath, and evil. Except the father he knew was caring, loving, and wouldn’t hurt a fly unless it threatens his family.
Blacksmith Bai Yun saw the suited man’s glare and went over to calm down the situation.
“Little Ma calm down,” Bai Yun chuckles. “He is still young. No need to get so worked about it. I’ll have your new weapon finish by next week.”
“Then I would have to thank Master Blacksmith Bai Yun in advance then,” Ma said. “I’ll take my leave now before I get blame for losing you a customer. Hahaha”
“No problem. I’ll visit you soon.”
The man in suit name Ma then took his leave. As he walked passed Jun and gave him a glare then brushed his should across Jun’s.
Jun instinctively dodged it.
“Weak,” he whispers and walks away.
“Little Jun what are you doing here?” Bai Yun asks.
“Grandpa Yun who was that man?”
“A regular customer here. He’s not a bad guy unless its something to do with your father. Why are you here today?”
“Its blacky. I think I broke him.”
“Alright let me see,” Yun said. Then he frowned. “Follow me to the back.”
“Okay,” Jun answers since Grandpa Bai Yun was not only a blacksmith but a strong cultivator too.
In the back room there were curved tvs and black leather sofas.
“Tell me what happen to your cultivation?” Bai Yun said seriously.
“My cultivation is shattered and so are my meridian. I am now just a piece of trash.” Jun replied honestly.
Bai Yun was ashen.
“You used that technique? Why? Isn’t Bu Fan always with you? Theres no body here that can threaten your life. Your mother would be outraged at your foolishness!”
“I had no choice at the time,” Jun sighed. “I made a mistake. I was arrogant and thought I could solve the problem myself.”
Bai Yun wanted to rage some more but looking at Jun’s depressed face he couldn’t muster up the anger too.
“Let me see blacky then.”
Jun reaches into his backpack and pulls out blacky. Blacky’s blade were cracked but not shattered. It felt that a gently swing would turn it to dusk.
“As you know when I made this sword Black is connected to your soul and cultivation. As you grow stronger so would this sword. But due to the fact you next broke through to the King’s realm when this happen Blacky never birth forth a spirit. So right now Blacky cannot be fixed. Any fix would not revert him back but be a brand new sword.”
“So there is no way to fix it?”
“Not unless you somehow miracle get your cultivation back.”
“Oh. Is there a way to keep it safe?”Jun asks.
“I can put a crystal casing for you. This way at least you can have a piece of mind it won’t shatter on impact.”
“Alright gramps please do so. I got something else that I have to do for now.”
“Alright child I’ll have it done by end of day.”
“Thanks gramp!” Jun yells happily.
Bai Yun tried to mess with Jun’s hair but realizes he was to short to reach and awkwardly pats him on the shoulder.
“Good luck. Life is short. Enjoy it.” Bai Yun advises. He has seen numerous amount of cultivators lose their cultivators and many of them goes into depression, or turns suicidal. The stronger they the easier they slipped into depression.
It was like a surgeon losing his or her hand, or a olympic sprinter losing his or her leg.
Shaking his head he went back to work. There was nothing he could do.
Jun walked to a hair salon to get his hair dyed black again.
…..11 Hours earlier!
“We have to go get him help for him!” Xintong yells when they got out of the forest.
“There’s no one we can call for help. The police and guards will not go help some guy they don’t even no against a Horde of Moon Bat Bees. They number in the millions. The average cultivator in the force are only mid martial realm. Against a million of them it is suicide.”
“Wait! Director Ji San might be able to help. He was the one that recommended him to us!” Xintong said desperately.
“Yeah lets go try!” Mei supported. It was better than nothing.
“Ziyu call director Ji San that we want to meet him now,” Xintong commanded.
“Right away,” Ziyu responded pulling out his phone.
“Lets go! Everyone get on Da Bao(its the giant white rabbit)” Xintong yells.
“Director Ji we got the King’s Starlight flower we need to meet you really quick tho. It is important.” Ziyu said into the phone.
“No problem I will be here,” the other voice responds.
Due to the streets and laws it took them a whole 30 minutes to get to the destination. Before them stood a skyscraper tall tower.
Xintong then produces a seal and Da Bao became a small rabbit.
“Lets go in.”
They opened the door and enters. Inside it had a very simplistic style like the space is very well used.
The petite girl at the desk said to them, “you must be with WL group. Director Ji is on the 55th floor waiting for you. Please take the elevator to the right. Thank you!”
“Thanks!”
They all rushed into the elevator and was in front of the director’s office in minutes.
“Director Ji!” Xintong yells losing all of etiquettes.
“Hello Miss Xintong I heard you all completed your mission. I am very happy to hear that.”
“We need your help!”
“Your whole team is here what do you need help with?” He asks confused.
“The Guide that you sent us Xing Lin. He’s acting as a decoy right now in Fennik forest so we can get out safely. We came here to ask for your help to save him,” Ziyu explains calmly.
Xintong and the rest nods their head in agreement.
“We don’t have a guide name Xing Lin,” Director Ji said with a confused face.
“What do you mean you don’t have a guide name Xing Lin!” Xintong raged because she thought that the director was being shameless. She thought that Director purpose fake not knowing so he wouldn’t be responsible for Xing Lin’s action.
“Xintong,” Director Ji said with a stern voice. “We don’t have a Xing Lin here. The guide we sent was Mao Te. And he is here.”
Director Ji presses a button on a phone, “please sent up Mao Te.”
“Yes director,” the voice on the other line said.
Mao Te a muscular middle aged man came walking into the room.
“This is your guide right here!” Director Ji declares.
“Hi I am Mao Te your guide.”
“We didn’t see him at all!” Mei complains. “What do you mean your our guide.”
Feeling like he was falsely accused Mao Te defends himself, “I was told by Director Ji to wait for you guys at Fen Park but I got there early and waited 2 hours for you people.”
“Fen Park?” Ziyu asks. “Didn’t we agreed on Fen Fen Park? It’s in the contract.” Ziyu pulls out the contract to verify his claim.
Director Ji San looks at the contract and realized that Ziyu was right. It was Fen Fen Park.
“Looks like he fucked up,” Ji San chuckles. “Now you have the flower and you don’t have to pay our guide.”
Mao Te glares at Ji San like he was trying to say your mom f*cked up! You lying piece of sh*t. You clearly told me Fen Park and when I called you, you said it was correct and to keep waiting.
Xintong body trembled and was getting ready punch his face. Luckily Ziyu was there to stop her.
“Thats true director, but we do feel indebted to the young man that helped us even if he did lie. Can you sent someone to rescue him?” Ziyu asks politely.
The director rubs his chin and began to think. “Mao Te whats your opinion?”
“You guys were going after the flower so if you messed up then you are likely to be chased by a hoard of bat bees. Do you know what cultivation he was at and how long as it been?”
“His cultivation was peak Nascent realm and I would say its been about 2 hours.”
For a quarter of a second Ji San’s eyes and Mao Te’s eyes made contact for them to reach an understanding.
“If he is adapt at escaping then he might be able to last this long but you would need to hire a King’s realm cultivator to help and they are not cheap,” Mao Te explains.
Director Ji San then continues, “we have a couple King’s realm cultivators here but they won’t move for tiny benefits especially with danger being this high.”
“We are willing to pay!” Xintong said determinedly.
“It’s not cheap and even with my influence it is hard to make the move. Are you sure you want to do this for a nobody? Someone you don’t even know?”
“Yes!” Xintong answers adamantly. “The King’s Star flower should go for at least 4000 spirit stones. If he is willing to do the tasks I am willing to give all the profit from the flower to them.”
Ziyu then whispers quietly to Xintong, “That will bankrupt us.”
“I know,” Xintong answers resolutely.
