Fallen Lightbringers’ Return - Chapter 87: The Four Arts
“Pincer them from the side. Don’t let any of them escape,” a person shouted as he swung at the dolls.
The barista, In-Su, shouted, “To the left,” he slammed down on a doll with a chair. “There’s more coming!”
“Uhwah, someone, please help me,” Kang Soomin squatted down and held her head.
The survivors of this cafe were currently fighting their way down in a group. Just one more floor to go, and they would arrive at the bottom and get a chance to leave this wretched hellhole. Though the safe zone would still last for a few hours, they made quick work with the dolls and beat them one by one.
Though it was a tedious task, and not many agreed with this decision, no one dared to slack off. The reason for that was a young black-haired boy standing behind them, staring. The group felt sweat run down their backs. No one dared to turn around in fear of looking him into the eyes. All they could do was work diligently and hope to leave this place and that monster as soon as possible.
Kim Jyejin walked right next to Lee Dojin. “Do you really think it is a good idea, leaving like this? If we stayed in that cafe, it would be a lot easier to fend off against these zombie puppets, you know?”
Park Hansoo and Dong Jowoon agreed by nodding their heads. They were part of the group that did not wish to leave, but naturally, seeing how Lee Dojin had brought back the head of that invincible knight, they dared not utter such thoughts.
Lee Dojin answered her. “The longer we stayed, the less the chance of us actually leaving the dungeon.” He opened the Main Quest. “You read the system message too, right? Our job isn’t to simply survive, we have to find and kill the dungeon boss too. We can’t do that if we remained in that cafe.”
“I thought the knight was the boss,” Jyejin asked.
Lee Dojin shook his head. “No, the knight was also only a monster. But it was no ordinary one.” He recalled the black aura oozing out of that thing. That kind of miasma could mean only one thing, he recalled. “Sometimes, for guides to properly control the flow of the dungeon, they place these unbeatable obstacles to stop the players from moving too fast. They will have a black-ish glow surrounding them. Those monsters are meant to be impossible to beat, and will only attack if you go somewhere not designed for you.”
If he had to guess, the knight was probably placed there so the guide could have more time preparing MyeongDong as a dungeon. After all, she had to go to many other hotspots, and explain the exact same rules. Thus, she offered a 6-hour safe zone and that knight so the people would not act before she set everything up.
“But you have killed that knight,” Park Wonho said while smiling wryly. The young girl held his hands. “What does that say about you.. .”
“Well, I got lucky, I suppose.” Lee Dojin sighed. He seemed to be in a bad mood, and not only because of the Mirages’ arrival. He looked at the ceiling and thought about the knight.
…
“I’d like to try the Arts I haven’t used yet, so do not die too fast, alright?” Lee Dojin cracked his neck.
The knight lifted its long ax (Its blade still red from the blood of its victims) and slammed it on the ground, leaving a big crater. Though its face was obscured and it did not speak, Lee Dojin understood perfectly well that they were about to battle.
The knight rushed forward, with a speed unbecoming of its size. The ground underneath him was crushed by his feet. Taking its battleax, the knight swung it from its left, destroying a bar counter and shattering the bottles on it, glass and liquid spraying everywhere.
Lee Dojin remained still, unbothered by the giant threat of death looming over him. The ax brandished by that powerful knight cut through the wind, creating a breeze on its own. Anything close was swept away as it reached for the boy.
“Do not be so impatient.” Lee Dojin lifted his hand, and his neck was about to be cleaved through, he caught the ax by the blade and completely stopped it from moving. The leftover wind blew out, rustling Lee Dojin’s clothes and disheveling his hair. However, he himself was unhurt.
The knight, though unable to show its facial expression, still appeared surprised. It hadn’t expected to come to such deadlock. Even as it tried pulling its weapon back, it remained stuck in Lee Dojin’s hand, not budging an inch.
[Devas’ Dance]
Ever since his transmigration, Lee Dojin managed to do superhuman feats even though he had neither Affinity nor artifact to support him. He claimed it to be martial arts, but he had never given a proper name.
Well, without a doubt, he had always referred to the art called, Devas Dance.

Of course, even in this life, Lee Dojin still possessed this art. After all, it was created by him and he remembered everything about it. Every movement that came from him was a form of this martial art. Though what saddened him was that he had to start from scratch this time. “Well, the first five levels, the Five Great Elements, are just body strengthening abilities anyway.”
The blade crumbled in Lee Dojins’ Hand. He sent a left jab, breaking the knights’ armor, and caving in its chest. No blood flew out though, and Lee Dojin came to realize that this thing too was simply a doll.
The knight moved its head and punched out. Now, without the ax, he had turned even faster. It appeared to have infinite stamina and felt no pain, as even with a crater in its chest, it moved just as efficiently.
Lee Dojin watched the knight move. His irises split in two.

He saw two images overlapping, one being the normal one, and the other—in a bit of a greenish tint—the future that was about to come. Though at this low level, they looked practically the same, for he could only see what was beyond a few milliseconds. “Well, it should level up if I use it more.”
This ability was granted to Lee Dojin by inheritance. He didn’t really like this art and hadn’t used it that much, even in his past life, as it was hard to use and confusing to look at, but from all the other skills he had, this one chose to stick with him.
Lee Dojin, through seeing the future, smoothly dodged the knights’ attack. Growing frustrated, the night screamed loudly. Without a doubt, that action would have terrified any other human being, but for Lee Dojin, who was used to bloodlust, this barely fazed him. In fact, he knew exactly how to counter-act it.

This art was a skill sorely for creating bloodlust. There are many different ways of expressing killing intent, and naturally, some will be better than others. As the best way to fight against an enemy’s bloodlust was by sending out your own and overwhelming it, Lee Dojin also sought a suitable art for him to create bloodlust. This ability was ingrained into his very soul when he first obtained it, so he was not that surprised to see this again.
Lee Dojin activated his ability, The Man who stands alone. Immediately, red glowing eyes (4 to be exact) seemed to have appeared, only for the knight to see. It stopped moving as if petrified, and its killing intent was drowned out. The eyes of the great shadow from the Hidden Quest loomed over it.
“Well, this is still practically useless,” Lee Dojin smiled wryly. “I suppose I’ve never really killed that much ever since reincarnating here, well, putting aside insects and bacteria that is. They don’t count, sadly.” He clicked his tongue.
The knight came attacking him again, it did not stay dazed for long as in the end it was only an emotionless doll. Even though Lee Dojin kept dodging its attacks and then hitting back, destroying it more and more, it did not give up.
“This is boring,” he voiced out after a few more minutes. “Let us end this charade.” His face turned dark, as he crossed his arms into an ‘X’. The temperature around him rapidly rose. “Day of Judgement, First Trumpet: Scorched Earth.”

Well, this one needed no explaining.
…
The group arrived at the bottom floor. There were no dolls here, yet they could not be happy. Instead, they gulped, their faces full of fear. The place looked as if it had been ransacked by a natural catastrophe. The ground and the left wall were charred black, while everywhere seemed to be big craters. In the middle, there was a broken doll, clad in armor, who appeared to have melted. Nobody could imagine what exactly went down here, and that brought them, endless terror. They glanced at the fearsome youth, vowing to never anger him.
Lee Dojin rubbed his temples. He was annoyed because the knight was too easy to beat, giving him no real chance to really test his old arts.
