Falling In Love With A Broken Hearted Man - Chapter 198
I don’t blame her, though. I know how it made them furious to see me struggling before. I witnessed it when she repeatedly cursed at Noah verbally. I was there and I understand her..
“I may not admit it before…. I can see that you’re finally happy again, now that the person you love was already came back to you… I’m happy for you..” I can’t believed that my best friend was tearing up in front of me right now. All I could do is to pat her shoulder and laugh. She’s so cute.
“Don’t make it seem like I’m gonna marry now, Sam. You looked like a mom tearing up for her daughter who ought to marry a prince!” Gia was the one who laughed first and I also laughed with her.
Just from I observed on Gia right now, she’s not like someone who’s pretending to hide her true feelings. The pain across her face was already registered while the happiness that she’s showing right now, was an act of a friend who’s happy with her friend.
That’s better though.. The worry inside me has lessened, I’m okay with that for now..
“You’re already having fun without me, bitches. What’s new?” Jessy came with lots of canned beers on her basket.
And I wanted to tease her for holding those plenty of cans but I just tried to control myself. I had to reduce making fun of her or else, she’ll return it with a hard one. I know Jessy too much.
“Where’s the friend chicken? I thought they sell it here?”
My eyes scanned the whole basket and I only see those beers. I can’t see any sign of fried chicken there.
“I was wrong, sorry…” She giggled. Our mouth parted, realizing that we’re gonna drink this beer without eating something!
“Jessy!” Sam immediately raised her voice, protesting.
“Are we gonna drink this tons of beers alone, then?” Gia’s brows furrowed.
Seriously, I’m going to complain too if it was the case. I mean…no!
“You said they sell it here so–”
“Guys calm down, god!”
Jessy gestured her hands on the air, making Sam sit on ther chair. “I already ordered on the fast food nearby, it’s on the way so we’re gonna be fine! You’ll be able to eat your friend chicken, fuck it!” She gritted her teeth before taking a seat.
She’s obviously stressed about it and now Sam and Gia was already laughing for that. We fucked up, yes. And Jessy was our best savior.
“You should’ve told us sooner, then!”
I saw how Jessy glared at Sam for mocking her. If me and my friends have things in common, that’s the fact that all of us were bullies. We love making fun of someone we’re close to. And I love teasing them, because I know they would still choose to be with me in the end.
And while we’re waiting, we decided to open our beers to start. I’m a fan of beers because it’s not that hard as other expensive liquors out there. I don’t know if I’m allergic to those piece of luxury alcohols or I just can’t afford it.
Funny, hmm..
“The chicken was already here!” Jessy announced as soon as the delivery man stopped in front of us, holding those two boxes of fried chicken.
Oh my god. I can smell it here!
“Thank you.” Jessy gave him her card and after swiping it, the delivery man immediately leave.
I didn’t mind Jessy who looked out of the world though. Maybe, she’s sad because she lost another bucks again.
“You love fried chicken that much?” I asked, laughing at Sam’s reaction.
She’s the one who opened the box first and she immediately took out some drumstick! Seriously, the texture were drooling and the smell makes my feel hungry!
“I only like it because I’m hungry.” She defended, but from what I was watching she obviously love it.
Jessy and Gia cleared their throat, getting Sam’s attention but the bitch were too busy with her chicken. “I didn’t know that you’re kind of pig, Sam?”
I laughed with what Gia said. Sam suddenly stopped and glared at her. I was closed of teasing her too, but I’m afraid that she’ll spill my secret to Jessy.
“Here,” I gave her a table napkin and she immediately took it.
“This actually tastes good, Jess. What’s this fast food’s name?” Sam wiped her mouth and took a sip on her beer.
I felt so full watching her already, god. My best friend was like a different person today! “I’ve got a friend who just got opened his fast food restaurant nearby and he recommended me to taste their fried chicken and–”
“A friend or a fling?” Gia arched a brow.
Well, she has a point. I don’t believed that Jessy has a male friend unless he’s her fling or whatever you call that.
“Your minds were bunch of dirties! O-of course, h-he’s my f-friend!” She stuttered, defensive.
We already know that she’s a player and not into serious relationships but her face looked like someone who got caught living with her boyfriend. Geez..
“She stuttered guys. Have you seen that?” Sam turned to us, ignoring Jessy who’s half annoyed now.
I can easily detect if she’s annoyed or not, through biting her lips. She kinda have that habit of hers that really shocked me before.
“He’s not my fling nor boyfriend, Sam..”
“Then, what about Vin Clark? What is he to you then?”
“Sam!” I was startled to what she asked. I’m quite nervous where would this conversation going.
Gia also got surprised with Sam’s question, her eyes were big as mine. Shit. This bitch’s mouth won’t really stop.
“Shut it, Sam. You cannot ask her that sensitive question,” I tried to make her stop by whispering it to her but she seems that she’s not quiet convinced.
“Let’s try to bring out her grudge, Raine. I wanted her to open up to us,”
“What?!”
“Just trust me.” She smirked at Jessy who’s pouting right now. Irritation was written on her face.
Damn it, Sam. We can’t ruin this night and we can’t make Jessy cry! I know that she had something with that Vin before and after Noah and I broke up, I didn’t heard that much about him anymore.
And I know that, that asshole was having his peaceful life and such a busy man with their company right now, so It’s impossible that Jessy and him don’t see each other anymore. I think…
“Come on, Jess… Don’t tell me, you’re still having a hard time moving on–”
“Shut up, Sam.” Jessy became serious. And seriously, I’m freakin’ anxious where would this conversation going!
“Gia, do something!” I whispered on Gia’s ear since Sam won’t listen to me.
I gritted my teeth and glared at Sam. What’s wrong with this bitch right now and why is she determined to make Jessy speak!
“Sam, just eat the fucking chicken. We won’t gonna stop you.” Fuck! Was that the best shot that Gia can convinced Sam? What if they fight after this!
“G-guys…”
My mouth parted when I saw Jessy crying on her seat right now. Oh my god.
I immediately stood up but she just gestured me to go back to my seat. Shit. What have you done, Sam! Damn it.
But Sam just shrugged at me like she’s innocent. Jessy’s crying! Oh my god! “J-jess…”
“You’re quite good bitch…” She turned to Sam and chuckled. And I immediately shook my head for being worried about her.
“Jess, that’s not Sam actually means..”
“It’s okay, Raine. I know I’m pathetic. I still love Vin and I don’t know how to stop loving him…”
“Oh my god!” I covered my mouth after hearing her say it. Shit. She’s still on love with Vin!
“But you know how strong I am, right? I can get over him without knowing it.” She drank the whole can and opened another can again! She’s drinking it like it’s just a water, damn it!
“I know you can do that bitch. You know men, some of them are bunch of assholes. They would hurt you any fucking time they want and leave you like a fucking trash, feeling so worthless and lonely…” I felt the bitterness on Gia’s tone as she sympathized Jessy right now.
It seems like they’re on the same boat. Oh god. I feel so useless bitch right now, I don’t even know that my friends were in misery while I’m having a good time with Noah.
They’re there when my life fall apart as Noah and I parted before. And they’re still here with my happiness and success, but I was this bitch having no idea what’s going on with them. That seeing them in pain right now actually made my heart sank.
I just pouted while watching the two almost drank the 10 cans of beer now. Their eyes were already puffed but I know they can still manage going home later.
“Sam, I’ll just call someone. Watch these two..” I stood up and went to the small fence on the other side.
I dialed Vin’s number. It’s been so long since I talked to him and for the luckiest time, I would cursed at him again.
“Hello?”
I arched a brow as I heard his gentle voice. It’s far from his rash and barbarian voice before.. I’m quite amused.
“Hey, asshole.” I rolled my eyes as I heard his gasped on the other line.
“Raine?”
“Yeah, it’s me. You freakin’ ass..”
He chuckled and seriously I’m still annoyed with his laughs. I don’t know why.
“What makes you contact me at this hour? Did you mistaken me of my brother or do you need something–”
“I wanted you to take responsibility of my friend.” I cut him. “Jessy. She’s in pain you dumbass!”
“What?! Where is she–I..I don’t clearly understand!”
“The next thing I saw her like this, you’ll be done, Vin Clark.”
I hung up the phone and placed it on my freakin’ pocket. That asshole! He still haven’t changed!
So freakin’ annoying!
To be continued…
