I woke up early, feeling so light in the morning. I yawned when I stood up on my bed, I can’t help but smile to this good feeling. Finally, I can work now! I was longing for my past job before and I also missed having conversation with my boss..

I giggled when I remember my stupid boss before. He’s so innocent and cute that I just wanted to make him mine before! I know that I was a desperate bitch, but I fell in love! And he loved me back, so there’s not problem with that.

His sweet smiles and charcoal eyes.. Damn, I can picture him in this morning and It would be better if he’s next to me!

I flinched when I heard the loud ring of my phone. I almost fell on the ground with it’s noise, damn I remembered that I fixed it on a full volume last night!

“Getting ready?” His sexy voice greeted me. I bit my lower lip and stifle a laugh.

“Mmm. I’m excited!”

I actually prepared my clothes last night. I didn’t want to get nervous when I wake up and choose an ugly one instead. Geez. I can’t do that on my first day! I should look presentable..

“You sound amazing, huh? I’ve never heard you being this excited before..” I can picture him pouting right now.

“Well..this is my first time working after graduating, baby. I wanna jump in happiness!”

“That’s right!”

“I’m right, yeah?” I smirked.

“That’s right. Call me ‘baby’ again..”

I was stunned and I can’t help but bit my lower lip in embarrassment. I can feel my cheeks getting burned. This guy’s don’t really disappoint me for bringing this humorous things!

“Hey.. Still there?”

I was just back to my senses when he spoke on the other line again. God! I don’t know how to respond to him!

“Yep..”

“I love you…” Shit.

And that’s it… My face covered with blood and my heart was racing so goddamn fast! I admit that after all those years, he still had this huge effect on me. That he can make my heart pound in a pace that I can’t imagine.. And make my legs weak, resulting to shake in some much nervousness..

“I love you too..” I bit my lower lip. Damn, I didn’t know that I would feel so embarrassed telling it to him again. And it’s over the phone!

“Alright. I’m quite energized now! You should prepare now baby, I didn’t want you to be late on your first day because of my sweetness..”

I wanted to protest but I just let him. And besides, if complimenting himself would make him happy then why should I stop him?

I giggled to my own crazy thoughts. You’re such a crazy woman, Raine..

“Okay,”

“I’ll drive you there–”

“No! I’ll take a grab.” I cut him. I wanted to commute this time, he can’t drive me forever though.

“Raine..” His monotone voice made me pout. “You already declined my offer last night!”

I chuckled when I heard his cute protests on the other line. Gosh! Why is he acting like a freaking child!

“Why are you mad, then?”

“Because, you’re making me feel like I’m a bad boyfriend!”

“Hmm?” I tried to soften my voice. “I just don’t want you to go further.. You know, our way was opposite. I didn’t want you be late on your work also…”

“I’m the boss, so it’s fine.”

“That’s it! I can’t let you abuse your power just to drive me all the way to my work. Please, understand…” I was just concern to him. I didn’t want him to bear all the burden just to give me pleasure. This isn’t right from the beginning.

I heard his heavy sighed. Means, he had no choice. “Fine!” I smiled.

“But I’ll fetch you after your work..” He immediately added.

I wanted to protest again, but I think I’m being too much if I did that. I’ll just let him until he finally realized that it would make his life harder to do it. It’s not that I didn’t want it, but I was considering his situation. I can’t afford seeing him suffer because of me, but this stubborn brat was making me hesitate!

“Alright.. Just make sure you’ll be okay, hmm?”

“Sure, baby.”

I bit my lower lip before ending the call. I placed the phone under my chest and feel the beat of my heart that was supposed to beat with that person. His morning voice soothes the empty mind that was consuming me. He’s my greatest distraction.

After taking a bath, I immediately walked through my closet and wear my pair of grey suit. I’m also happy that I finally had my own, that I didn’t have to borrow to Jessy and Sam.. It actually feels good..

I also applied some minimal make up to tone up my skin, and sprayed some mist around my body and face. Gosh! I’m excited!

“Raine! Food is ready!” Jessy shouted.

“Yeah, coming!”

I immediately fixed my hair in front of the mirror. It has already dried from the blower, so I’ll just had to curl the edges. I had to looked clean and decent.. I also wore a pair of silver earrings with a diamond stone in it and a silver necklace with a diamond pendant also..

I bought this after my graduation. Actually, it serves as my gift for myself after everything. And I’m happy that I’ll wore it for the first time on my fist day of work. The happiness and excitement was mixed inside me. I can’t help but to feel grateful and blessed.

“You’re fast today, huh?” Gia says while sipping on her coffee.

The two was actually busy with their works and I’m relieved that despite that, they still manage to eat 3 meals a day.

“I hope you two are okay now..” I sat on the chair near Gia and grabbed some bacon and bread on the table.

“You ask her. She’s still quiet since morning,” Jessy points at Gia.

“I’m always quiet, Jess.. You’re just a little preoccupied realizing that,” Gia rolled her eyes.

“Wow! As if I would care if you’re silent or not!”

“What do you call that then? You noticed my silence.”

“That’s because you’re visible, duh? You’re the only person that I saw since I woke up, damn it!” Jessy was near on her limits, I know. I really had to stop them or else.

“I didn’t even tell you to see me, do you don’t have the guts to complain my existence to everyone!”

“Oh my god!” I hissed. I’m getting stressed now!

“Then try to act normal even if you’re not!” Jessy shouted.

“Sorry to disappoint you miss but no. I won’t pretend like you!”

“What did you say–”

“OH GOD, SHUT UP YOU TWO!” I shouted. I stood up from my seat and gave them a piercing look.

“What are you guys? You’re not a children to fight in front of the food! Gosh, look at the table. You have no respect,” I pursed my lip and they both got silent. “Seriously? In front of the food?”

I arched a brow at them but they just both bowed down to avoid it, obviously guilty.. Of course they should! It’s a big disrespect to the blessing in front of us. And these ungrateful brats were just fighting in front of it!

“I’m sorry, Raine..” Jessy started and when I looked at her, she’s already pouting.

“I don’t need your apology. You both need it guys..”

I glanced at Gia who’s still silent on the other side.

“Hurry up, Gi! I’m hungry!” And with that she looked up to face me. “It’s your fault if I arrived late!”

“Oh my god, I’m sorry!”

I smirked when she turned to Jessy and held her hand. Sometimes, my power was working on them huh? I should at least do this again, hmm..

“You know, it’s really Raine’s fault. If she didn’t hope if we’re okay, I wouldn’t see you there..”

I feel like my ears twisted to what Jessy said. Oh god! Now, she’s blaming me? This bitch–

“COME HERE YOU BITCH!”

I was running through the elevator because the time runs very fast. From what I remember, I was teaching my freak friend inside our apartment earlier and I didn’t realized the freakin’ time! I was closed to be freakin’ late!

And I was supposed to take a grab earlier but now, I had to bring Gia with me and drive me all the way there! It’s their freaking fault anyway, so I didn’t have to feel guilty.

I arrived at the office at exactly five minutes and I thought I wasn’t late but..

“3 minutes late, Ms. Scott. I don’t expect this on your first day.” Said of my strict brother.

His cold expression that sends a million of shiver all throughout my body and nerves. His posture were like those CEO’s in a movie with those expensive and good-looking suit..

I never thought that my brother could be this scary but at the same time hot with his cool specs and black tie. I wasn’t ready for this. Oh no, I can’t even talk to him casually because I was the one who asked him to hide my identity and act like a real boss to me!

“I’m s-sorry, S-sir–”

“No excuses needed in this company. Next time you get late, just absent..” He looked at his watch and turned to his secretary. “Car keys..”

The guy gave him his keys and I almost jumped when he turned to me! I immediately felt nervous. Oh god, I never thought that he’s like this when he’s inside his work!

“Lead her to her desk and don’t hesitate to give her what kind of work she deserves. Gotta go,”

And with that, my rude brother left the freakin’ office! That brat!
