I was looking around on every edges of this whole floor all the way to my desk. I didn’t know that our dad really worked hard on building this huge company. I can’t believed I can finally see this as I was ought to work on our company.

I can’t help but smile to think that I was the owner’s daughter. I wanted to work her without others knowing my identity, because I wanted to work as a normal person who wants to do great on her job. I wanted to create my own success by working hard..

And now that I can finally assure everyone that I’m ready to fulfill my dreams without their worries, I’ll be finally okay.. I’ll be proud as long as they support me with it.

I was just chasing my brother’s secretary in front of me and I can’t help but pout, because he never talked to me to what I am going to do if we arrived there and what’s waiting for me! Seriously, he seemed grumpy like my brother!

“This way…” He gestured the left side without glancing at me. Maybe he doesn’t know that I’m the sister of his boss!

I glanced the way that he’s pointing but my eyes caught someone on the other side. He’s wearing a suit just like my brother while crossing his arms! Damn, what is he doing here?

“Excuse me but, I need to talk to someone first.. Can I?” I asked the guy apologetically. But he just arched a brow and looked at the same direction that I’m looking earlier. When I heard him sighed, I immediately go to Noah who’s now giving me a naughty look.

He bit his lower lip and looked at my body. “My sexy girlfriend, hmm..”

My face eventually heated as I watched him nods for how many times while giving me a playful grin. Oh god.

“What are you doing here?” He didn’t even told me that he’s coming!

“I was here to give you a good luck, personally baby..” I was startled when he suddenly grabbed my waist.

I glanced at my brother’s secretary and I blushed when I caught him looking at us.

I pushed Noah lightly, “Don’t be a clingy, Noah.. We’re here at my work place..”

“Oh. Sorry, baby..” He chuckled and let go of me. Geez..

No matter how I wanted to feel his touches and sweetness but I can’t. I need to work and so as him.

“I also came here to say that I’m going to fetch you later..”

“You didn’t have to, Noah.. I know you’ll be tired after work–”

“But you’re my rest, Raine.. I didn’t know but, when I see your face I forget my tiredness.. Amazing isn’t it?” His voice were sweet. Oh god, Noah.

“Of course that’s you, Noah. You always have your excuses just to get what you want,” I rolled my eyes.

“Really? But I think, I already get what I want…”

I blushed when I realized what is he implying! This brat!

“Stop it, Noah. I need to go,” I bit my lower lip.

He chuckled. “Alright then, I’ll just fetch you later..” He kissed my forehead.

“Take care.” I waved at him and see him off.

When I returned, I immediately apologized to my Pierre’s secretary for making him wait too long. But since he’s a snob, he just nodded and didn’t say anything. Well, maybe he’s just like that.

“We’re here..”

I looked around as soon as he opened the door for me. The whole room was very big and everything was glass! It looks so beautiful and luxury. I can’t help but feel amazed to what I am seeing right now. I never thought that our room was quite this big! Pierre’s really rich!

“Come with me,” He walked first and I just followed him until he stopped on the beautiful desk near the thick wall glass on the side! Oh my god, is this my desk?

“This is your desk from now on, Ms. Scott. I think you already know what web designers do, right?”

I nodded. “But I’m not that good enough. I’ll work on that too..”

“Okay, then. Our programmers will connect on you once you started your task..” He gave me a thick documents! “Try to finish this within this day. I’ll see what can we improve if you have flaws with your designs..”

I hissed when I saw what kind of work he has assigned to me! This is great, shit. I practiced this on our house and I think I can performed it finally here!

“I’ll do my best to avoid any flaws, sir..” This is it, Raine! You’re finally an IT professional!

“Okay, good luck.”

He immediately nodded and left the room. I was so happy to see my desk right now, oh my god. It’s like a dream, really! I never imagine working on this big company in my entire existence! Like as in! I wasn’t that ambitious before. I was already content with my work but…

This is nuts. I wanted to jump in happiness but I can’t do that because everyone’s around. Oh, right. I need to introduce myself!

I immediately stood up and bowed to everyone before lifting my head again. “Hi! I’m Raine Scott, your new web designer as of today! I’m very glad to work with you,”

I didn’t know but, I feel like everyone’s nice. They’re all smiling at me and the other staffs were also asking me with my background information. And it’s not really a problem to me. I’m just a bit shy..

“Hi. I’m Mikey! I worked here as a programmer for the past 5 years and I’m still enjoying working here so…” The small guy with a metal specs offered his hand to me.

“Oh. Hi! That’s amazing!”

“Thanks! Kinda considering that for not leaving this company..” He winked at me before going back to his desk.

I just shrugged and the smile on my face didn’t fade as soon as I started to work. The other employees greeted me too and also encouraged me to do well on my first day. Seriously, I’ve had enough for the people who cheered me up for today. The first person was my baby, who really gave me the confidence to face my reality. Oh god, I can never let go of him anymore..

“You’re so good!” I almost fell on my seat when a guy spoke behind me!

When I looked back, it’s the blonde hottie guy who’s standing behind me now! His eyes flushed an admiration as he started at the screen of my computer. My face heated because I think it’s too over designed. I was too excited earlier that I even tried everything!

“T-thank you, b-but I’m n-not yet d-done..” I rubbed the back of my bead.

“But it’s still beautiful..” He nodded and patted my shoulder. “Good job.”

He left after that and I can’t help but to feel happy and flattered, because someone appreciated my work and even complimented it!

“Good work, Ms. Scott. Although, there are still some minor flaws but we can work on that later on.. Good job!” Our chief looked so glad with my performance and seriously, I’m so happy right now even if it’s my first time.

Even if I’m still getting started…

“Thank you, sir. Thank you very much!” Happiness was written on my face as soon as I arrived the cafeteria.

It’s time for our lunch and my colleagues asked me to eat with them. There’s no space for my happiness right now. Seriously, I know that I still have a long journey to accomplish but this is really a great start for me. And I’m thankful to have a cheerful and nice people around me.

I can’t wait to tell Noah about it, gosh! And also Pierre, I can already picture his reaction for this. I giggled when I saw him walking towards the buffet area with his secretary. I thought he’s going to say order something but I’m surprised when I saw him holding his tray with foods in it!

What the…

He walked towards the group of employees in front of us and sat with them. What is he doing here? Don’t tell me he’s going to eat with–

“He’s like that.” Mike says while looking at Pierre.

“You mean, h-he usually eat with his employees?”

“Yep.”

“I thought he’s strict and…” My brows furrowed, still confused with what Mike’s saying!

“He’s nice. We also thought at first but when we already met him, he’s really a good person and a good boss to us..” I can’t believed that he’s actually doing this. With his cold personality? Really? “It’s okay. Your first reaction was natural.. Don’t be confused.”

He smiles and we just eat our food. After that, we continued what we are doing until the time has ended. I’m glad that I finished my task within this day without even making a mistake. I just prayed that this will continue for the next days again…

“We can go to the lobby together guys.. Raine, come with us!”

“Sure!” I packed my things and arranged everything on my desk before coming with them on the elevator.

Everyone talks about how light those work today when I came and they also felt relieved that they’re energetic today so they also finished their works. I quickly get along with them too, feeling comfortable as they showed me their kindness.

I can’t ask for more now…

“Baby…”

I automatically turned my head to find the person who spoke. With his baritone voice, I know he’s that person.

“Noah!” I run towards him as soon as I saw him sitting on one of the benches on the lobby. He looked tired, though. “Did you wait too long?”

I’m afraid that he waited for me despite his situation right now. He looked so tired but still so good-looking.

“Boyfriend?” Fritzy asked. One of my colleagues.

I nodded and I blushed when Noah wrapped his arms around my waist. “We need to go now, guys..” I waved my hand to them.

I can see their teasing smiles though.

When we get inside Noah’s car, he’s the one who fastened my seatbelt and I can smell his addicting perfume here. I can’t help but to secretly sniffed at it.

“Baby…” He caressed my cheeks.

“Hmm?”

“I need to go on a business trip for a few days…” I can hear his deep breaths and sad tone. “I’ll be away from you for the next few days..”

“H-how long…?” I was surprised by it. Shit.

“Still don’t know…” He shook his head. “Maybe 5 days? Or 7 days? Or maybe 2 weeks baby.. And it’s overseas, damn it.”

I felt sad as soon as I heard that he’ll gonna stay there for too long. That I won’t see him for the next few days…

Stop it, Raine! It’s not as if he’ll be away forever!

I looked at him and he still looked sad and frustrated. I can’t be a hindrance with this. I can’t make him refuse to because I know Noah. He’ll do everything just to stay by my side.

“I’m okay, Noah. You can go. I promise I’ll wait for you..” And before he could speak, I already moved closer to him and kissed him on his lips.

Damn it, I’m gonna miss you baby…
