Fantastic Life Tycoon - Chapter 16
Brian didn’t stay at the store a lot over the last 10 days. He completed the labs and took the exams to barely secure a grade to prevent academic probation.
Afraid of an F grade even with a system. Fuck my life.
If Brian left college so quickly, he would have to explain everything about his links to Magic Tech.
The sales were just about 50 pieces or so everyday. There was no online order yet.
Brian knew that he hadn’t tried advertised it anywhere and the science behind it was choppy at best which made it seem like a scam from any angle.
Brian had been thinking of hiring someone who could help in deal with the company matters. He had the law firm in mind who had told him to contact various headhunters in Cali.
Brian’s mom had asked him about the exams. Brian just straight up lied about how well they went. It was better than explaining how he hadn’t attended a single lecture in the semester.
What should I do for today. I have only sold about 40-50 pillows per day. There are people who came back to buy for their whole family but it will take some time to spread. I should focus on online marketing. There hasn’t been a single order. I should get some online presence. Everything needs money. We have a constant stream of revenue which should be good enough for a large loan.
Brian took out his phone and looked at his contacts. He wanted to hangout with Andrea for a bit. They hadn’t spend any time together because of the exams. He missed her. Brian dialed her phone but no one picked it up.
~Ting~
“With my family, want to come? :P”
Brian thought about it but knew that Andrea was teasing him. It was way too quick to be meeting her family.
“Say hi for me. ;)”
Brian replied and then called Rob. Since, there was no Andrea to hang around with. It would be time to think about the expansion.
RobOne came to pick up Brian from the gate. It was at that time he heard a ting on his phone.
It was an alert from the Amazon Seller dashboard. He received the details where he had provide his shipment if he wanted it to fulfilled by Amazon.
Did someone actually order on my store. Who was this gutsy. Even I wouldn’t buy it myself. There’s hardly any brand image for Magic Tech.
Brian looked at the order details. It was an order from Bay Area, CA. Brian thought about all the rich people who lived there.
200$ isn’t very high for them, I guess.
Brian was imagining his first customer and how his influence had reached Bay Area. Did someone bring his pillows there. It was good news anyway. Rob drove to the fullfuklment centre. There were already carrying packed pillows in the SUV. Brian felt like this was a small milestone and was curious about how his small store got famous.
Brian looked at Rob One who had accompanied him the longest and told him.
“We are already starting to get orders. Did something happen at the store?”
“There was a girl who filmed herself falling asleep and took away a pillow. She could be the one who popularised it.”
“Do you know who? If it was a big streamer we could partner up with her.”
“No, boss. We don’t ask for identies and she paid in cash.”
We don’t even have any cameras at the store. So many things need upgrades.
“Set up and appointment with the law firm. I want you to apply for a business loan under your name. We have a good enough base. There should be no problems to get the 5 million loan.”
“Okay, boss.”
“Do you have any idea how good the engineering bot is.”
“Boss, it can design products and is much more flexible in learning. It is an all around engineer with same strength as us.”
“Sounds good enough.”
Let’s just hope it can code or learn to do it. I can’t trust the people I hire with core technology. With the engineering bot, the surveillance of the factory and store can be improved. I can also buy the gene potion. And still there would be 3 million left to expand.
Brian was thinking about the good days when he could become a super human with the gene potion. Atleast punks like Kevin would not be able to threaten him and he could always run.
