Father, I Won’t Do Anything - Chapter 42
“Your Highness?”
“Uh…..”
-Just because it’s summer, you shouldn’t walk around in sloppy clothes. Make sure to have the dignity a Crown Prince should.
-I’ve called the dressing room right away to get your clothes ready, so go to them.
‘I was wondering why my mother, who doesn’t like me going out to travel, suddenly allowed me to… was this why?’
Rosian didn’t know the exact why the man who always nagged him about being overdressed suddenly told him to dress up. But at the very least, he didn’t seem bad to Jayna.
Rosian smiled brightly and said,
“Miss Jayna, I know it is a little late, but do you have anything you want for your birthday?”
“Oh, it’s okay. The cape you gave me last time was more than enough for me. I really don’t want anything in particular.”
“Really? Miss Jayna isn’t greedy at all. I have to think of a present that you will like. Just use this for now.”
Rosian put a straw hat on Jayna’s head.
“Miss Jayna has fair skin so she needs to be careful of the sun.”
“Your highness has fair skin too…”
The two, who insisted on wearing straw hats, eventually agreed to play under the parasol and ran to the sandy beach.
[T/N: Two hot bois under a parasol? I hope its pink.]
“Wow.”
Jayna scraped the wet sand with her hands, recalling playing with wet sand on a rainy day in the playground.
On the other hand, Rosian was collecting the sand by hand and putting it in front of her.
“All you have to do is pat it a little with your hand.”
“Like this?”
Micheal, with a sulky face, looked at Jayna and Rosian who were having fun.
“Ha, what’s so fun about that?”
In front of him, there was a sand castle much taller than the one Jayna had made.
“What’s the problem with making it big?”
As soon as Jayna brought up the word sandcastle, Micheal quickly swept up the sand with magic.
Then from the sand, an actual castle was reproduced, from the spire and the entrance ladder, to the barriers and walls.
Whether it was made by magic or not, the sand castle was made in a solid and detailed manner.
Contrary to his expectations, Jayna’s reaction was lukewarm.
Micheal looked at the castle for a long time and then turned his head silently.
“My brother is unbelievable.”
[T/N: Rosian said this.]
It was none of his concern, but Rosian shook his head with a tired face.
“What? Do you have any complaints?”
Micheal, who was offended, asked back.
“No.”
“No way.”
The two answered no, and then began to make new sandcastles.
“What’s so fun about playing around like that?”
Isn’t it much for fun and cool to make a solid castle using mana?
Micheal compared the two sandcastles made with his hand on his hips.
No matter how he looked at it, the one he had made was far greater, more elaborate and solid.
[T/N: Solid as in, literally solid, like firm]
“They don’t know how great magic is. Do they think it’s common for a wizard to make something like this in a flash?”
Michael turned his head to Jayna’s side.
“Wow!”
The two children who managed to build a tunnel through the collapsing sand castle, looked at each other through it.
Micheal didn’t like the cute scenery very much.
But whether or not the kids finished building the sandcastle, they had moved onto another interest.
“Should we feed the seagulls which are over there?”
Jayna and Rosian began to throw food one at a time at the flock of seagulls that would stuck together.
Damn it!
The flock of seagulls flooded in threateningly at Jayna and Rosian.
The seagulls eyes were filled with insanity.
‘This isn’t like a movie or drama at all.”
I suddenly remembered lovers in dramas and movies who fed something like shrimp crackers one by one and laughed affectionately at birds.
It was now obvious that it was all a lie. Rather than waiting for the food in Jayna’s and Rosian’s hands, they seagulls flew in and took it away as if they were hunting prey.
‘I could get hurt at this rate.’
Jayna looked at them with a strong gaze.
“If you don’t behave, I won’t feed you.”
She said it in a low voice, but that was enough.
The seagulls were terrified by the fierce atmosphere of the dragon tribe.
Knowing nothing, Rosian chuckled gleefully as the seagulls began to harmlessly blink their eyes.
“Whoa, why have you all suddenly become calm? Maybe you can understand Ms. Jayna.”
[T/N: My dude acting like a shoujo heroine knowing nothing]
The seagulls which were once flapping wildly, began to walk with every one Jayna’s gestures.
They were now peacefully receiving the food and soon returned to the sea when they realized there was no food left.
“How cute.”
Jayna laughed at the sight of the seagulls folding their wings and swimming in the sea.
“Miss Jayna, look at that seagull, his face is black.”
“Wow, that really is amazing.”
All seagulls don’t look the same.
Some of them are pure white from head to toe, meanwhile others are white mixed with gray.
‘Is he being sarcastic?’
Jayna and Rosian then sat side by side and watched the cute appearances of the birds.
“What?”
A seagull suddenly left the flock and then looked at where Jayna and Rosian were.
“You’re asking me to follow you, aren’t you?”
Chong chong chong, and then it looked back.
[T/N: Chong = walking sound]
“Yeah. Should we follow him? I don’t think he meant it like that though.”
Jayna and Rosian then followed the seagull with a giggle.
What were the chances it would actually be like that?
“Uwaaa. Was there something like this on this island?
The two of them opened their eyes widely at the cave which stood in front of them. When they got back to their senses, they noticed that the seagull was nowhere to be seen.
“This seems like a place where no one should go in.”
“Uh, wait for a second.”
There was a sign in front of the cave.
Only the brave will see hope in the darkness and receive their dues..
“Maybe it’s one of the tourist destinations?”
“Then it’s okay if we went in right?”
Thus, Jayna and Rosian ferarlessy stepped inside the cave.
“I’ll shine some light with my mana.”
The light that floated inside the lamp was a type of magic which anyone could do, even if they didn’t have a light attribute.
“Miss Jayna is very strong, I can rely on her.”
However, Rosian put his thumbs up saying it was an amazing thing to see.
Jayna smiled shyly.
Splash
“Oh, I think water has pooled here.”
“Come to think of it, it was raining yesterday.”
The floor of the cave was rough and very bumpy. When Jayna was walking, she suddenly lost her balance due to a rock.
“You have to be careful.”
If Rosian hadn’t caught her, it was clear Jayna would have fallen forwards.
Whooosh
The cave seemed deeper than Jayna thought it was. The sound of the wind which echoed in the cave created a gloomy atmosphere.
“Miss Jayna, aren’t you scared?”
“I’m alright.”
Flap!
A bat had made a loud noise and flew away just in time. Rosian, with his eyes wide open, answered with a grin.
“I’m relieved to have Miss Jayna.”
It felt like a horror story for Jayna, but she was comforted by the fact she was not alone.
As she walked out of the dark cave, what appeared was a beautiful flower garden full of yellow flowers which were in full bloom.
“Whoaaa.”
“Has there ever been a flower garden like this on the island?”
The flowers without a known name bloomed with a beautiful yellow colour as opposed to the blue sky it touched. Jayna was overwhelmed by the stark contrast, it vividly came to her that it is summer now.
“I have raspberries, croissants, crackers and various other things in my spatial pockets.”
[T/N: The spatial pocket has a lot of space, like an inventory in games]
“Can we eat it together?”
“Of course. Why else would I have brought it with me?”
Jayna asked for a sandwich full of ham, cheese and extra lettuce along with some side dishes.
Swoosh
As she leisurely sat in the flower garden, she could see the glittering waves splashing around from the wind.
The two enjoyed the cool breeze blowing in the bright sun.
Isn’t this a garden which was made by nature?
“Miss Jayna, let’s make this our own secret hideout.”
Rosian whispered with his fine eyes narrowed.
“A secret garden for the two of us which Micheal-Hyung nim doesn’t even know about…”
[T/N: Hyung nim is basically a respectful way males address older males especially if their related, similar to the english term big brother]
And that was the moment.
“Who and whose secret garden?”
When a familiar voice was heard, Rosian looked back with a frightened face. There stood Micheal, smiling brightly.
“Are you guys having fun without me?”
[T/N: Rosian. Run]
“Uh, when did you get here?”
“Just now, using spatial magic.”
“No way, were you following us?”
As Rosian grimaced and asked back, Micheal answered with a snort.
“Ha, do you think I followed you? I was the first one to discover this place.”
“What the…”
Rosian looked at Micheal with a puzzled face, and he began to imitate a seagull’s face without realizing it.
[T/N: “he” refers to Rosian here]
“No way, was it your magic…”
“Believe it or not.”
Micheal who smiled at Rosian, then approached Jayna.
“Hey kid, it seems you like flowers too. Well, I already knew that from the time you made me a bouquet.”
“Miss Jayna made a bouquet, for you?”
“Yeah, you must’ve not received one from her before.”
Micheal smiled and began talking to Jayna, who was looking down at the flowers with her eyes shining.
