Father, I Won’t Do Anything - Chapter 47
Elia was the most admired woman amongst other wives and young children.
For that reason, the social gatherings of Princess Elia and her aides were a meeting that no one could simply join.
Charlotte began to look around far too late.
Unfamiliar sceneries came into view.
She presumed that she had fallen into the Imperial Palace’s garden.
“No one here has asked you to play the harpsichord, so why are you here?”
“You’ve just crept in, like a thief.”
The faces of young ladies and wives looking at Charlotte soon became cold.
“It’s not just about you intruding on this social gathering. If anyone breaks into the Imperial Palace, they’ll need to answer why and how.”
“Please wait! Your Highness, Princess Elia, there’s a reason behind this!”
“That’s something you need to tell the knights.”
Princess Elia spoke in a chilly voice.
Charlotte asked for mercy, but there was no exception in her dictionary.
“Now, I don’t think there’ll ever be an idiot who’ll hire Lady Charlotte as their harpsichord tutor.”
“I had entrusted my second child to her, I’m afraid that she will do something to our family under the pretext of harpsichord lessons.”
Looking at Charlotte who was being dragged away by the knights, young ladies and wives covered their faces with fans and began to whisper amongst themselves.
“Ah, no. This must be a dream!’
Charlotte regretted tormenting Jayna, but it was far too late.

Charlotte, luckily, wasn’t imprisoned, but that fact didn’t comfort her.
It was all because her image had collapsed at once.
Her image had actually been buried.
Charlotte is now in a position where it would be difficult to marry, and even interact with someone.
Returning from the palace feeling exhausted, Charlotte staggered and headed to a place other than her home.
“I’m screwed because of you! My life is over!”
Charlotte opened the door with all her might and shouted.
There were two people who were arranged to meet her.
“I approached Tower Lord like you told me to! But do you know what happened because of it?”
“I’m sorry, you don’t need to tell me what happened.”
“What?”
One of them placed their head on Charlotte’s head.
Charlotte then collapsed like a puppet with broken strings, and with the sound of her head breaking.
“I can dig through your head myself, there’s no reason to listen to your blabber.”
“Why…”
“Because you’re useless now. You should have stayed quietly in the Tower like we ordered you to, but you didn’t… tch.”
“No… not you guys too…”
“Yeah, we’re not ‘human’. Do you realize that now?”
Charlotte wanted to ask what they meant, but she couldn’t open her mouth anymore and slumped.
The woman, one of the two people there, closed her eyes while playing her hand on Charlotte, and soon opened them with her eyes twinking.
“She was telling the truth. That child is still in the Tower.”
The two recalled Jayna at the scene of the burning house not too long ago.
It was a coincidence that they witnessed the fire while at the festival.
– I went out to play because I was in a good mood, but what’s happening?
– Enjoying the festival is unfortunately out of question.
While looking around the scene of the burnt house, the two found a special piece of glass from a jar on the floor.
– I think something interesting happened. The broken piece gives me the energy of the dragon. Is this a relic?
– I’m sure there’s no other dragon in the capital apart from us. Who could it possibly be?
– Are you saying that a dragon used a holy relic? By any chance… the girl knew our clan needed the holy relic and decided to get rid of it on purpose?
They were soon able to find a lead on the suspect.
– No one was injured? In a building burned so badly?
– I can only call this a miracle.
The two exchanged glances.
The unknown dragon must have healed people with the relic.
They put their hands on a man, who was treated, with mind-reading magic and then smiled brightly.
Thud.
– Oh, Uh? What’s wrong with him?
Looking through his memories there was a cute… little child who saved humans.
– She had a holy relic in her hand.
They were out of view, but must have escaped the building by breaking the ceiling.
– It is clear that the dragon must have used transparency magic.
– The child wrapped themselves in dark magic. So you’re more likely to be a member of the Black Night Clan?
– Looking at the area where it broke out, it’s quite small in size… could it be a young dragon?
Using mind-reading magic, they once again began to look through other human’s memories.
As a result, the two dragons found out the child who saved the people from the fire was the Crown Prince Rosian’s companion for the day and a child named ‘Jayna’.
“Apart from this, how did the child end up staying in the Tower?”
““It’s still too early to assume that the child is a dragon. Her hair and eye colors were different. It means that she wasn’t one of Black Night Clan or Clan of Heaven.”
“But she used a holy relic.”
“How strange. Holy relics can’t be used by anyone else except dragons…”
“Well, perhaps it wasn’t that child, but another dragon who used it?”
They folded their arms and were lost in thought.
After a long time, the man opened his mouth.
“Wasn’t there a rumor about the Tower Lord being the lover of Bezriche, a member of Black Night Clan, a long time ago?
“What? That Bezriche having a human, male lover? Impossible.”
“Yeah, I remember the rumor was buried quickly because it was so ridiculous… but what if it was true? Wouldn’t the child who lives in the Tower be the dragon that used the relic?”
“Don’t you think the child is the very ‘proof of injustice’?”
“Yes, it would be possible for a child born between a member of Black Night Clan and the Tower Lord to have black hair and blue eyes.”
“My goodness.”
The women’s eyes widened.
She quietly whispered.
“If so, we’ll have to kill her. For the honour of us, dragons.”

‘It happened faster than I thought…’
Jayna calmly practiced the harpsichord while lost in thought.
She heard that yesterday Charlotte, her former harpsichord teacher, had quit.
At the same thing, she heard that Diamide had called for her after a long period of time.
– You want to hear me play the harpsichord tomorrow?
Although she wasn’t taught how to play the harpsichord properly, Jayna steadily practiced ‘Bezriche’s song’ which was engraved on the necklace.
Unlike what Charlotte called her, Jayna was never a lazy student.
However, the time given to her wasn’t enough because she learned on her own.
‘I don’t think I could play even half as good as my mother.’
Jayna then stopped playing the harpsichord and turned her head.
She could see Izren staring at her from the corner with a worried expression.
“The teacher was a bad person. But is it okay to play like this?”
“I’m fine. One thing I’m sure of is that craftsmen don’t blame their tools, and I won’t blame her either.”
She was supposed to meet Diamide in the garden of the tower.
Jayna took out the harpsichord from her pocket and placed it in the center of the gardens.
Around her, summer roses were in full bloom.
It was a place where Jayna had never previously visited.
In order to not be disturbed, Diamide opened up the garden and hid it secretly by magic.
‘That is how important this performance is.’
Jayna looked back. Tower Lord with black cloak sat there while looking at Jayna’s sapphire eyes that resembled his.
A person who is far from the green, red, and fresh green season. He stood out as if he was alone in the winter.
How does it feel to freeze your emotions?
How was he able to fight against the demon king?
What kind of entity was Bezriche who shook him?
What does he want to see in the song left by Bezriche?
“Start.”
As soon as Diamide finished his sentence, Jayna’s hands were gliding over the instrument’s keyboard.
Bezriche’s song itself wasn’t a difficult one. However, it was one which made those who was listening appreciate it.
– What a sad song. Does it contain the pain of a breakup?
– It’s a sad song but also feels calming…?
– I only hear the piano being played, but I can feel something else.
Since the harpsichord didn’t have any pedals, it was quite difficult to control the strength and weakness of the tune, making it difficult to play perfectly.
In addition to that, due to the work forced upon her by Charlotte, Jayna didn’t have enough time to practice Bezriche’s song.
Above all else, the biggest obstacle was that unlike Bezriche who was an adult, Jayna’s small hands limited her ability to perform.
For that reason, the song played by her sounded similar yet different.
“…It’s over.”
Jayna took her hand off the keyboard.
She waited for Diamide’s reaction.
But as time passed by, no words were uttered. So, she raised her head and looked at him.
At some point, Diamide had closed his eyes and even after her performance was over, his eyes remained closed.
‘Are you mad at my half-baked performance?’
It was clear that he was looking forward to the performance if he, who had been reluctant to meet with Jayna face to face, gave her a large room, a musical instrument, and maids.
Even though she was an object of his hatred, her mother Bezriche, was a very important person to him in the past.
‘I might get kicked out of the tower.’
He might even take the necklace and kick her out under the pretext that she didn’t do as he ordered, wouldn’t he?
“….”
While Jayna was thinking about many things, Diamide kept being silent.
There was only a heavy silence between the two.
Diamide slowly opened his eyes.
However, the words which came out of his mouth after a long time, were completely different from Jayna’s expectations.
“What did that woman tell you?”
While Jayna was briefly contemplating who ‘that women’ was, Diamide spoke out once again.
“I was told that your harpsichord teacher didn’t do her duty properly.”
‘Are you going to blame me for not telling you beforehand?’
Jayna decided to simply admit it was her fault.
