Father, I Won’t Do Anything - Chapter 8
Jayna started dusting while also removing cobwebs. And it seemed that the room was less cold after putting things on the wall with has the severe draft.
After cleaning alone for a long time, Jayna looked at her room with a face filled with satisfaction.
The first-ever place that she can call her own.
And her things will slowly fill this place one by one.
Jayna felt it was not bad to live in this small luxury until she was seventeen.
I thought that ordinary daily life would continue…
“Why are you here?”
The lethargic blue eyes were staring at her full of contempt. Her teeth clenched under the heavy pressure.
Jayna could not grasp.
The reason why her father was standing in front of her right now.

It wasn’t because Jayna was crazy, that she went to see Diamide who doesn’t like her on her own volition.
She doesn’t expect anything from him, nor does she want to interact with him.
Ever since she came to the tower, Jayna only wanted to live a normal life. So she tried to refrain from gaining unwanted attention and keep a low profile as possible.
However, problems in life often come from unexpected places.
‘How do I wash my clothes?’
The problems that are essential to life have caught her.
Since the tower is a place where only talented wizards come, everyone knows how to do basic magic such as washing and cleaning.
Although they are always suffering from the researches and examinations, they are all still talented enough to keep their selves clean.
But Jayna didn’t know how to do those basic magic. Of course, it wasn’t that Jayna, a dragon race, couldn’t use magic at all.
Although her progress in magic was ignored by her relatives, she still saw and learned some by taking a peek while her cousin is practicing magic.
The magic I learned so far outperformed my cousin Taylor, but that didn’t change anything.
Jayna, a member of the Black Night (Hog-ya) clan that deals with the power of darkness. But because I only learned simple magic, I could only hide my body in the dark.
‘I don’t need clothes in the Dragon Village and washing was also done by the river…’
It was difficult to maintain the human form, so young dragons always lived in the form of dragon unless it was really necessary for them to change their form.
So there is really no need to dress or wash like humans.
In other words, Jayna was also unable to think about laundry because the last time she did it was when she still in her previous life. And it was a huge mistake.
‘Shall I ask Michael or Hilvenzia for help?’
No, no.
Jayna rebuked herself for thinking on relying on others for a moment.
Although they’re very kind now, she still can’t let her guard down when thinking about how they first behaved to her.
There is no reason for the two who were quarreling for the second and third place in the tower, to be kind to a weakling like her.
She shouldn’t leave herself unguarded at any moment now, because she might suddenly become the subject of their study.
‘I shouldn’t get used on relying to others.’
Jayna closed her mouth. It’s my job and I have to take care of it myself.
‘It’s a bit dangerous, but I have to go outside the tower.’
It wasn’t treated as important in the novel, but because it was strange I still remembered it clearly until now. It was the spell to go outside without needing to go through the gatekeeper inside the tower.
With her eyes closed, she alternately strokes her elbows three times, jumps once in place, and turn around eight times… .
“Old man Igrace, get me out of here.”
When she shouted out the spell, she could feel the soft wind blowing around her body.
After a while, when she opened her eyes, she was outside the tower.
Jayna blinked her eyes.
‘Fortunately, I remembered it correctly.’
She used magic to cover herself with darkness, so that she won’t be caught outside the tower.
When night falls, Jayna sneaked out and turned into a dragon and flew in the sky. Then, she went into a nearby lake, took a bath and washed her clothes.
Although it was cumbersome and annoying, she was fortunate to be able to solve the clothes problem.
One day when she thought that her problem was finally solved…
Perhaps because there were less than 10 days left until the test, the wizards were roaming around the tower with their eyes filled with determination than usual.
They acted abnormally, such as falling on bare ground, flipping their bodies upside down and hitting their heads on the ground.
‘Depending on the test result, they could be kicked out of the tower, so they have to fight desperately and do their best.’
Although they didn’t take the test together, Jayna, who recalls the memory of her previous life, sympathized with them.
But that feeling soon disappeared.
“Hey, you worms. Are you sleepy?”
It was a voice with great enthusiasm. How dare he scream so loudly in the middle of the tower, even though Diamide isn’t around today.
As one wizard shouted out loud, all responded loudly to the wizard that shouted. There wasn’t only one wizard who is agitated by the test.
“You know it well, so why ask!”
“Don’t you see us all limping like jellyfish?”
At the angry answer, the sorcerer upstairs squeaked, and his eyes shone dangerously.
“I’ll wake you up right away!”
As he chanted something and moved his hand, a large puddle of water appeared on the empty ceiling and immediately poured down.
Swa-a-a!
It was literally a waterfall. The cool flowing water was very exciting. However, the wizards downstairs who were struck by the water were angry.
“You bastard, do you want to die!”
They went on a rampage saying they would make the sorcerer upstairs pay, and murmured next to them to bet who would win.
But Jayna, who was caught up in it albeit unwillingly, couldn’t laugh.
“….What is this?”
It must have been an exciting joke for other wizards to awaken their heavy spirits.
But not for Jayna.
She couldn’t use magic to dry her body at once unlike those wizards.
Jayna stood in the hallway and squeezed her wet hair. If she leaves her hair alone, it will dry out, but the problem was the clothes. She had no spare clothes to change into. Unfortunately, all of her other clothes were washed and were still wet.
Eventually, Jayna was forced to wear cold, damp clothes all day long.
And of course she caught a cold the next day.
“Khung, hello. Good morning!”
“Are you acting cute now? What are you talking about?”
The next day, Michael, whom I met at the restaurant, had a shocked face. So Jayna explained with a sniffle.
“It’s not that. I caught a cold.”
“Huh, the dragon has a cold?”
“Yes.”
Jayna furrowed her forehead and frowned.
After being told by Michael how she was acting cute, Jayna tried to explain it slowly, but it was deem useless because of her bad cold.
When Jayna told him that she had a cold, Michael began to pry.
“Can a dragon even catch a cold?”
“Because I’m weak. I’m a half-blood…”
“You’re half as big as a dragon and yet you caught a cold just like a weak human being? There must have been some cause.”
“There’s nothing….”
“Tell me everything that happened yesterday. If the dragon caught a cold, something must have happened in the tower.”
“I can’t remember.”
“Then I’ll have to pry into your mind and see what has caused you to catch a cold and prevent it from happening again, though you’re stupid to forget something like that.”
‘Are you trying to use mental magic on me now?’
Jayna tried to gloss over her answer, but Michael was persistent. As one of the most talented wizards at the tower, he seems impatient when dealing with questions.
She doesn’t think he’ll ever let go of it until his question is answered, so Jayna decided to give him a rough answer.
“I slept in wet clothes.”
“You slept in wet clothes? Even if you say you have a small knowledge compared to mine, there must be some common sense left that you have to change your wet clothes immediately. Why on earth would you sleep in wet clothes?”
“My clothes are still wet because I washed them.”
“There’s laundry magic. Oh, come to think of it, you can’t do water magic?”
Michael also seemed to have little knowledge about the dragon race.
Michael sullenly looked down at Jayna, his arms crossed.
“Why did the noble dragon get sick even though it only got wet with water?”
Michael held Jayna in his arms, but immediately gave a low cry.
Duk.
Contrary to her appearance, Jayna was quite heavy.
There came a loud cracking sound from Michael’s arms and waist.
“Argh! You should have warned me beforehand that you were this heavy before I lifted you!”
“I told you at the restaurant the other day. I thought Michael, a powerful Magician, would remember.”
Maybe because I wasn’t feeling well, I couldn’t control my weight as usual, so I just left it at my original weight of hundreds of kilos.
“Ah, ah… …When should you undergo a body test?”
A severe shock struck his waist, and Michael tried to scream but immediately bit his mouth shut.
“People who stay in the tower for a long time are required to have a health check. I thought you wouldn’t get sick because you’re a dragon, so I thought it wasn’t important.
“A dragon doesn’t get sick?”
“Why are you asking me that? You’re a dragon.”
It may be stronger than humans, but it can’t be. But Michael didn’t shake a bit.
“A dragon doesn’t get sick or cursed. This is what the Towerlord said. Maybe your mother said it?”
‘Diamide must still believe that lie.’
Her mother, Bezriche, died under the curse of the evil king.
A smile came out of Jayna’s mouth.
