Father, I Won’t Do Anything - Chapter 9
Perhaps if not for an answer, Michael might had already put Jayna down.
Given his success in lifting her unlike before, this time he seemed to have applied a reinforcement magic.
But Jayna clearly still felt him shaking. There is also a small crackling sound originating from his waist.
“If it’s too heavy, you can put me down.”
“If it’s too heavy, you can put me down~.”
“Stop copying me.”
“Stop copying me~.”
On the subject of this “kidnapping”, Michael simply stopped Jayna’s words of disapproval by mimicking her. He really is a shameless villain.
‘I can’t believe you used that a sing-song tone just to tease a child.’
Jayna stop struggling and ignores Michael’s teasing, she wouldn’t stoop so low to bicker with Michael teasing, it would make her seem to be too childish.
‘But it’s weird. If he’s the original Michael, he should be staying far away from me because he might catch a cold.’
‘Why…Is it really amazing that a dragon is sick?’ Jayna tilted her head.
“But where are we going?” (Jayna)
When Jayna had calmed down, Michael moved his steps in a gentle manner. But the direction was a little strange.
“You’re such a foolish dragon. You’ve been tricked by me. I’m going to kidnap and sell you for a cheap price.” (Michael)
However, Jayna did not respond as usual. Michael laughed as if dumbfounded.
“I’m going outside the tower. What are you thinking? Are you thinking that maybe you’re on your way to death doors?.” (Michael)
Jayna drew her little chin and nodded.
“I was thinking whether I would be a reagent or a holy sword.” (Jayna)
“Crazy….” (Michael)
“Personally, I like the holy sword more. It looks cool.” (Jayna)
“You really can’t cheat on blood; you’ve got a crazy daughter from a crazy father.” (Michael)
Michael shook his head slowly.
Jayna was a little surprised when she heard from Michael’s mouth, that she was the daughter of Diamide.
“Don’t tell that to anyone.”
However, Michael seemed to be more concerned about him saying that the Towerlord was insane than him saying she was his daughter.
‘He’s (Michael) the craziest though….’
Isn’t he the crazy nephew who grew up under the wing of his crazy uncle?
Even though she is the fresh and blood of Diamide, it is Michael who is the one who has spent a long time with Diamide.
“Unfortunately, today is not the day for you to be turned into a holy sword. I just have something to check.”
Certainly the place where Michael went with Jayna was outside, not the tower where he could do research.
“Take a look.”
Michael confidently went out on the way that Jayna had been avoiding every night, greeted by the gatekeeper. It felt strange.
“Open up, wizards.”
“I will immediately prepare the magic circle.” (Gate Wizard)
Woo-Woong-
When the magic power was put in, a magic circle containing geometric contents began to unfold one after another.
Jayna recalled what she had read in the novel.
The moving magic circle is very special and can only be used in urgent cases, and the procedure is also complex.
But….
“The young lady you are holding is…”
“It’s my granddaughter’s niece.”
Michael replied casually.
By all means, Michael, in his late teens, could not have had a daughter, let alone a niece of a granddaughter with the size of Jayna, but the staff nodded quietly.
“I will write that I accompanied Michael Bellaphanian, a man of great trust. I was busy so I skipped the identification.”
“You’re good at your job?”
“Haha, this is not usually the case if it’s another person, but Michael-nim is working hard day and night for the tower, so of course—”
“Let’s go.”
“I’m sorry.”
Woo-Woong-
Michael climbed onto the ready-to-go magic circle with Jayna on his side. Soon after that, even when I closed my eyes, I felt a cold light pouring out.
Whoo-wow-
Then it was casting magic to move again. This time, there was no gate with a magic circle, but Michael made it simple to move in space by doing something. He was one of the few geniuses in history.
‘There are monsters here and there.’
Michael moved quickly and opened the door of a mansion and shut it back.
When the door suddenly opened, Jayna was surprised for a moment, but the people inside had a polite attitude.
“Welcome, Michael Bellaphanian-nim!”
The final destination of several movements magic was the dressing room in the capital. Even though he came without a reservation, the staff welcomed Michael with a smile.
Jayna, who came down to the floor, was lost in thought.
‘He came from the magic tower, and was also welcomed at the capital dressing room. Being a wizard of the tower is surely amazing…’
At that moment, Jayna saw the employees with their eyes shining and hands clasped together.
Jayna, feeling puzzled, followed their gaze.
‘Huh?’
At the end of the gaze was Michael, smiling satisfactorily.
Bright blue eyes, softly curved lips, and smooth cheeks. Just him, smiling softly was enough to make people dizzy.
With his arms folded, he was looking around the dressing room with a satisfied face. There were pre-made samples hanging here and there, including colorful stylish silver clothes, neat and elegant clothes, and many more.
Jayna, who was looking around the dress room, soon learned why the employees looked at Michael with sparkling eyes.
“Ah, I want to quickly make a costume for Michael-nim. Take off that dull hood, and wear a blue uniform that fits your blue eyes…”
“No, you have to use red to bring out his gorgeous features, while also wearing a shiny epaulette that glimmers if seen from any angle.”
T/l: *(Epaulettes= an ornamental shoulder piece on an item of clothing, especially on the coat or jacket of a military uniform.)
“A formal white uniform will suit him best. He’s literally a prince on a white horse. Ah, a beautiful face and body rotting in that tower, how pitiful. I’ll show you my skills this time.”
….It wasn’t because he was a wizard of the tower, but because they wanted to dress him up.
But their thoughts were soon shattered.
“Not me, she’ll wear it.”
Because today’s main character was Jayna, not Michael.
Jayna opened her eyes wide with astonishment. The Madame, who was next to him, came close and said,
“You know that today was supposed to be the day for Michael-nim to pick his dress for the imperial prom, right? I can’t afford to make clothes for the lady here.”
“All I have to do is cancel my decision on ordering multiple suits, that way you can have time to make this kid’s clothes.”
“It doesn’t matter to me, but will the former Queen Elia be okay? All the designers in the dressing room didn’t get to work because the former queen told me to make all of Michael’s clothes.”
Michael flinched at the words and gnashed his teeth.
“My aunt doesn’t even know that I’m not going to the ball. Just say that I had threatened you today.”
“It’s because you don’t show your face to Queen Elia.”
“What’s the point of seeing her, all she ever does when seeing me was to scream and spout nonsense.”
Michael was the nephew of Diamide, the master of the Tower, as well as the nephew of Queen Elia, an outstanding prosecutor.
“My parents died early, and I’m not really blessed with blood.”
Michael snorted, as if he had made up his mind.
“Then just make one suit for me. Keep in mind that I’ll blow this dressing room up just like last time, if you hide behind my back and colluded with my aunt to make me try on dozens of pieces of clothes again.”
Michael’s mood was vicious, as if he really detests wearing clothes.
Madam backed away with a lingering look in her dark-skinned eyes.
“Then what shall I say to the Imperial Highness?”
“Tell her you had no choice because I insisted on making clothes for my younger cousin who I deem to be utmost important. The younger cousin whom I love the most.”
With clenched teeth, Michael held Jayna closer to his side.
“She’s a poor kid who caught a cold while wearing wet clothes because she didn’t have any clothes. Come to think of it, where’s the healing reagent? Grandma, no, there must have been something that Hilvenzia came up with for the cold. Give it to me and I’ll just pay you back for it”
Jana’s eyes widened again, but Michael didn’t notice it.
“Here you go, Michael.”
Michael put Jayna down and removed the lid of the reagent.
“Drink it up, kid with a cold because she slept in wet clothes.”
Suddenly, Jayna stared at the healing reagent shining in transparent pale pink.
She has read it in the novel.
Reagents containing healing power are very precious and expensive.
It was because it required the power of a high priest and the skill of an excellent alchemist to obtain holy water.
That was why Hilvenzia, who made a mark in alchemy, showed little to no interest in reagents.
It was because it’s difficult to obtain holy water if one does not have a close ties to the temple, and sometimes the quality and effect does not coincide with the expectation set which will make efforts poured to be wasted.
“I can’t take it.”
Jayna hid her hands behind her back. And even with the sound of stuffy nose , she gave a stubborn refusal.
“The fitting clothes and the healing reagents in the dressing room are too much for me.”
Michael chuckled and pulled Jayna’s head lightly as he sat down.
The whispering voice in her ear was ticklish.
“Kid, do you think I’m giving you this clothes and healing reagents because I like you?”
“Of course not……”
“I’m hiding behind * ‘My Little Sister’ and devising a scheme to escape from the designers of the dressing room.”
T/l: *(Like using her (The Little sister) as an excuse or front while making an escape plan)
At those words, Jayna thought of the designers earlier who looked at Michael with their sparkling eyes.
“The monsters here are only satisfied after they made me try all of their clothes. The problem is the clothes are endless and the act of trying to put them on and taking them off is troublesome. Stopping them from putting clothes on me seems futile so I’m pushing them onto you.”
Michael crumpled his forehead. However, even with his frowning face it is still emitting a beautiful and unique atmosphere.
“And the healing reagents. They gave it to me because it has to match your clothes and pass a medical check-up. And furthermore do you think I’ll bother this busy body of mine to carry you back again?”
Michael pulled his face back, which came close because of the whispering, and pushed the healing agent into Jayna’s mouth.
