Fenrir’s Journey: I Shall Devour The Heavens - Chapter 36
After killing the girly man, Fenrir stayed in the shadows and watched the events unfold. She hadn’t cared about the man, nor his purpose for trying to kidnap her, but it didn’t mean she wouldn’t find out about it. Though she didn’t care to hear it from him personally, Fenrir still wanted to know how the information about his death would affect others. If he was someone of high status and had been acting with the support of other people when doing his despicable acts, Fenrir would kill them as well.
The only thing that had kept her from going on a rampage after entering this world was the concern that her Master would have been disappointed in her. However, one of the things she had been allowed to do, even after first obtaining her name, was defend herself. If people were targetting her for their own selfish reasons, Fenrir had every right to kill them, especially if they used such despicable means. A girly man who had other people carry him around on a carriage, publically played with a woman’s body, and used drugs to try and kidnap people…Fenrir would never believe such a person was ‘good’…
Shortly after her attack, Fenrir saw numerous different groups of people show up, including some wearing robes who stood at the top of buildings, looking down on everyone else. There was even one old man, wearing a green robe with golden lining, who tried to attack the pillar of ice she had made with a sword. Fenrir snorted as she watched him try to break her attack with the toy in his hand, especially after she had condensed so much magical energy into the attack. Even her Master would have to put a lot of effort into destroying it Fenrir didn’t believe anyone in this city could even come close to her Master’s power.
As expected, even though the man jumped up high in the sky and made a large phantom blade, stabbing it towards her ice pillar, it simply broke after colliding for a few seconds. When he landed on the ground, doing his best to appear as though he hadn’t tried too hard, the only sign he had even attacked was a small chip of ice that had fallen onto the compact dirt road. Fenrir’s ears perked up when he turned to one of the young people next to him and said, “This attack must have been performed by some Senior at the Seventh Foundation Stage or higher…I’m not sure who the fourth Young Master of the Flame Jade Sect had offended, but it seems his karma had come to collect upon the debts he owed…”
Fenrir wasn’t sure how her strength compared to other people in this world but, through her observation in the past, she knew there were several different distinctions used to categorize strength. She hadn’t yet learned all of them yet but, according to the old man who failed to break her ice, it seemed like her attack had been at the ‘Seventh Foundation Stage’. Though she couldn’t ascertain how he knew this, as he had been barely able to scratch her attack, Fenrir still decided to use it as a basic metric. That had been only a small portion of her actual attack power, as she mainly used external energy to form the sphere, so Fenrir could at least claim that she was stronger than a ‘Senior’ at the Seventh Foundation Stage…
(Fenrir’s Commentary: ‘I’m not old. You’re old! Your whole family is old! Fenrir is Ageless~!’)
