Fictional Transcension System - Chapter 29 Cultivation Frenzy
Upon arriving at his room, Lu Fengyi slammed the sliding door shut before setting down his gear and moving towards the sunlit open space in the centre of his room. After spending majority of the afternoon clearing Zhang Xuan of his existing reputation and also completing a part of his quest, Lu Fengyi decided that the most optimal action to take was to cultivate.
Although the qi was the thickest at dawn, making it the most effective time to cultivate, Lu Fengyi possessed the Cultivation Affinity meaning that it really did not make much of a difference when he cultivated.
Within seconds, Lu Fengyi felt the embracing feeling of energy surging through his body. The energy coursed through his veins to his meridians and circulated across his vitals, energising and empowering his cultivation. As time passed, second by second, Lu Fengyi could feel the ball of energy within him grow and reform, creating an entirely different entity, evidently more powerful than the last.
Only minutes after he began, Lu Fengyi felt the bursting energy break free of the original constraints, pushing his body passed its limits and reforming the existing meridians, strengthening and improving his body. Finally, the moment that every single cultivator within the world would know, Lu Fengyi felt the bottleneck.
While others would struggle intensely against the bottleneck, fighting to create that perfect surge of energy that would break through to the realms beyond, Lu Fengyi his excess energy guide itself through the tight hole, slipping through and enlarging the gap. Before long, the energy surged through, breaking down the walls of the bottleneck as a trickle of water would a dam given the time.
Opening his eyes with tremendous power, Lu Fengyi stood up before releasing his withdrawn aura. The gear that he had left on the floor blew vividly in the room, creating a hurricane of energy before finally calming down.
“So this is the power of the Pigu realm. Even through I’m still at the primary stage of the Pigu realm, I can still feel the coursing power. Truly incomparable!” Lu Fengyi muttered to himself.
As a normal human, Lu Fengyi had no method to experience cultivation first hand, however the Fictional Transcension System had directly given him the opportunity. Eyes gleaming with excitement, Lu Fengyi knew that he could no give up such a golden chance to excel.
Sitting back down onto the floor, Lu Fengyi set his mind to concentrate upon cultivating, shutting himself from external sounds and interruptions and only listening to the flowing power that surrounded him.
[ Looks like this boy is truly determined. Much better than my last one. He was the most lazy pig I’ve ever seen… ]
By the time Lu Fengyi left his immersed state, the sun had already set halfway down the mountains. Although one would be unable to see it, Lu Fengyi had been coated with a fine layer of dust in the time he had been cultivating. Shaking the dust off, Lu Fengyi stood up before smiling to himself in excitement as the system’s voice rang out.
[ Evaluation of Quest 3 completion ]
[ Perfect Completion – Bonus contributions (None) ]
[ Rewards – None Set, 120 EXP, 10 T-Gold ]
‘What the hell is this? For my first quest, not only did I get more EXP and T-gold, but I also got the Cultivation Knowledge Pack! Now my rewards have been reduced by so much?’
[ That is due to several factors. The main factor is simply because you did not have any bonus contributions, drastically decreasing the possible reward while the side factor is due to the quest being easier than the first. I mean, think about it, you have literally been given the S-grade Cultivation Affinity ]
Realising the system was right, Lu Fengyi decided to drop the matter.
In the short span of time in which Lu Fengyi had cultivated, he had pushed himself mentally to his limits, breaking through consecutively to Dingli realm pinnacle. Sighing to himself, Lu Fengyi muttered, “I understand what you mean, isn’t the Cultivation Affinity just slightly overpowered?”
[ Of course! This is the tutorial stage after all. Don’t expect to receive such amazing benefits for any worlds after this. Only then, will you truly begin to learn creativity and knowledge ]
Lu Fengyi nodded. Although he had become almost addicted with the speedy power ups his tutorial setup could provide, he knew that without facing obstacles, there would be no advancement. He decided to unleash a routine of kicks in order to test out his ability.
Wind swirled furiously around the room as the evident power behind Lu Fengyi’s kicks began to show. A simple bridge of two cultivation realms may seem like a huge gap to others, however to Lu Fengyi who possessed the Cultivation Affinity, it was just a matter of spending an hour sitting down. Soon, Lu Fengyi finished his self-demonstration before nodded contentedly to himself.
Satisfied with the results of the cultivation, Lu Fengyi yawned before snuggling into his blankets, now oddly more comfortable than before. Suddenly realising the difference, Lu Fengyi got up before opening up the blinds, letting the residual day light shine into his room. His original bunk bed had been replaced with a luxurious bed that would befit a prince while his furniture within the room had changed, exuding a regal aura.
As he looked around, Lu Fengyi noticed a note upon the desk in the corner. Striding over to pick it up, Lu Fengyi ripped open the side before reading the contents.
[ To the prestigious Elite Student ]
[ We’ve have made appropriate adjustments to your room and notified every student of your current status. We hope you enjoy the changes and we bid you a steady cultivation ]
[ Sincerely, the Education Bureau Team ]
Lu Fengyi’s mouth twitched with surprise, ‘Even if I am an Elite Student, isn’t this a bit grand? After all, I’m a student regardless of my status.’
Shaking his head to dispel the matter, Lu Fengyi leapt into his newly furnished bed, diving deep within the covers to awake the next day.
Although it was true that Lu Fengyi was now Dingli realm pinnacle and this meant that he would be able to go several days without sleeping, there was no reason not to enjoy one of the most fundamental pleasures of man.
Zhang Xuan paced around the streets as he contemplated carefully what his student had said to him. “My father called it taekwondo” he had said. This couldn’t be a coincidence. Not only were the moves exactly the same, the name of the art did not change either. Although Zhang Xuan had his doubts dispelled earlier, thoughts began connecting one after the other.
The urging to become a student of the most terrible teacher in the academy.
The odd malfunction of the Library of Heaven’s Path.
The timely appearance of the Frigid Mother Sun Grass.
The almost impossible coincidence of his fighting technique.
Zhang Xuan’s mind spun in circles before clicking, “Could it be…”
