Fictional Transcension System - Chapter 42 Visiting The Apothecary Guild
After managing to convince the Wang clan that the store owner had already escaped, leaving him injured on the floor after a great fight, Lu Fengyi accepted the pills from Wang Li before finishing his recovery and leaving the restaurant. Glancing down, Lu Fengyi revealed a wry grin as he saw the grade of the pills.
Second grade recovery pills
If he were still a Dantian realm pinnacle cultivator, these pills would not only completely heal any injuries he had suffered, it would likely aid him in increasing his cultivation, however since his true cultivation had already reached Zhizhun realm pinnacle, the pills would only serve as the barest trace of nutrition.
Urging Wang Ying to follow the Wang clan back, Lu Fengyi headed towards the apothecary guild. Even though he had been beaten black and blue, his independent healing capabilities had increased several fold, especially due to the existence of the Cultivation Affinity, allowing him to cultivate perfectly in harmony with the surrounding energies.
Upon walking through the doors of the guild, Lu Fengyi saw the receptionist that showed him around the first time. Striding up to Wen Xue, Lu Fengyi was about to pull out some identification papers that he had received after the pill debate, however she quickly reached out her hands to stop him.
“It’s fine, I know you’re an official apothecary.”
Lu Fengyi nodded before heading through the hallways and into the courtyard of the apothecary guild. While it mightn’t be as modernised as the Wang clan, the courtyard was quite large and spanned over several hectares.
Just as Lu Fengyi was about to search for some sort of direction, an authoritative voice sounded from behind him, “Who goes there?”
Turning around, Lu Fengyi saw an elderly man who wore thick robes and an apothecary identification badge upon his shoulder. Bowing slightly, Lu Fengyi quickly identified himself, “My name is Lu Fengyi, one of the most recent official apothecaries.”
“Ahh, so it is apothecary Lu. I’ve heard great stories from Elder Bai, your passing of a pill debate without breaking a sweat, possessing a grand cultivation at your age and also the status of an Elite Student. It is an honour to meet you.”
Hearing Lu Fengyi’s words, the elder instantly changed his tone, now certain that the man was not an intruder. Not only had Elder Bai described the boy in detail, he had even taken him as his brother, there was definitely no mistake.
“You’re too kind, I’m currently looking for the guild leader of this apothecary guild branch…”
The elder placed his hands behind his back, exuding an aura of authority, “I am that guild leader you are seeking. You can address me as apothecary Ouyang.”
“Junior Lu Fengyi greets guild leader Ouyang.” Lu Fengyi clasped his hands. Although he had never met this man before, experience in the workplace as an author had taught him that respect would bring one much further than being casual would ever do.
“Mhmm. So, what did you want to see me for?”
While Ouyang Cheng, the guild leader, had expected a degree of arrogance from Lu Fengyi due to the large amounts of achievements, the attitude and respect that Lu Fengyi had presented to him only gave rise to approval. After all, most of the geniuses out there were pricks and would easily get themselves into trouble by running their mouths off at the wrong times, however since this boy could show such respect to someone he had met moments ago, it was a good sign for his future.
“Actually, it’s like this. Due to the request of my master, I’ve been asked to purchase some high level medicinal pills that will help heal one’s body of injuries.”
Ouyang Cheng nodded, “So what grade pills do you require?”
“Hmm, the higher the better. However, if the pills are not of superior grade 3 and above, they will not be of much use to my master.” Lu Fengyi thought about his Zhizun cultivation before sighing. Having a high levelled body may be good, but the costs of maintaining it would skyrocket without a stable income or connections,
The guild leader crinkled his brows, “Superior grade 3? If that’s the case, I will have to contact another kingdom. Our apothecaries do not have the skill to forge such high grade pills and we do not have any in stock right now.”
Reaching his hand out to seal the deal, Lu Fengyi asked, “So how much will it cost?”
Seeing Lu Fengyi’s hand, Ouyang Cheng instinctively went for a handshake, “It won’t be much. Along with the delivery fees, the total cost should only be forty millions or… wait… why are you backing away?”
Lu Fengyi’s face went pale as he heard the price figure, quickly avoiding the handshake and backing away several steps from the guild leader. Putting his hands up in a pacifying gesture, Lu Fengyi spoke out quickly, “I was just joking about that… too expensive for me.”
Suppressing his surprise, Lu Fengyi walked up to the guild leader once more, “Ahem, forget what I said before. Aside from that matter, could I also access the apothecary library today? I wish to browse through some books.”
“Haha, of course you can. I’ll lead you there now.” Ouyang Cheng flicked his robes, indicating for Lu Fengyi to follow him.
While it was true that Lu Fengyi had obtained the Cultivation Knowledge Pack, it was only a section of the entire series, meaning that only the most basic cultivation related information had been listed within. If he wanted to forge a pill of high enough quality to heal a Zhizun level body, he would definitely not be able to do it with his current knowledge.
It wasn’t long before the two had travelled across to the library as the apothecary guild was not that large. If one would say that majority of the buildings within the apothecary guild were old and required extensive refurbishing, then the library would be a technological advancement that could hold its own against even the state libraries of the first world countries in Lu Fengyi’s previous world.
The library had hundreds of vivid glass panes across the surface of the frontal surface while a simple and inviting sliding door sat in the middle of the building, almost drawing avid readers towards the interior.
“Just enter the doorway and show your identification to the guard and you’ll be allowed access to all sections of the library.” Ouyang Cheng gestured for Lu Fengyi to enter before going his own way. After all, a guild leader was always a busy person.
Thanking the apothecary and bidding his farewells, Lu Fengyi entered the doorway. Before him, stood a tall guard with a scholarly look and reaching out his hand, “Identification?”
Handing his apothecary badge to the guard, Lu Fengyi entered into the library. Although he had prepared himself already, Lu Fengyi was still surprised by the sheer size of the library. Maybe he would be able to find some suitable pill forging recipes within it.

I cannot fit this within the author notes due to character limit, so I’ll put it here.
I was talking with a friend today, discussing the direction of my novel while also editing some of the earlier chapters to rid them of majority of the mistakes. After reading many of the comments, I realised that many of the things Lu Fengyi did made no sense at all, so since my novel has only just begun, with a little over 40 chapters, I have deleted the latest 5 chapters and will begin replacing them with something that will enable me a little more freedom in the future.
Alongside those changes, my character’s romance is really bad since I don’t know how to write romance and I went with whatever I thought of. Again, thanks to that friend, I’ve realised the incredulity behind my MC’s actions and I’ll go about rectifying them.
As for the deleted chapters, I’m not going to simply remove them from existence. Since I deleted 5, I’ll add 5 back to the bonus chapters I need to do, and addition to those, I also have to add 10 for everyone getting my to 400k views!
Truly, thank you everyone for the insane amount of support I’ve received for this novel. I never thought that I’d receive so much attention when I first started writing, so from now, I’ll think carefully about the novel and write it as best as I can!

In exactly one week, I’ll be out on camp, so my posting rate will decrease to 1 a day from next Sunday to the Friday after.
For the people who were asking why Zhang Xuan wouldn’t pass techniques onto Lu Fengyi, I’m extremely sorry as I didn’t explain the reasoning properly. The main reason is simply because if I were in Zhang Xuan’s shoes, knowing that Lu Fengyi is a transcender and a power being, there would be no reason to pass perfected techniques onto the boy.
Thank you everyone who supports FTS and I hope you put up with me clearing some stuff up.
Shout out to an inconspicuous person who helped me with everything and thank you to those who posted their thoughts about the novel and allowed me to realise the things I was doing wrong.
