Fictional Transcension System - Chapter 55 System Name Change
As each of the students finished breaking through and began to consolidate their newly obtained cultivation, Lu Fengyi faced away from them before speaking to the system, ‘Since you’ve basically limited me from continuing my cultivation in this world, I guess that’s how you force me to leave the world by finishing the quests.’
[ Indeed, that is why we ]
Noticing the pause, Lu Fengyi felt confused, ‘What’s wrong? Can you not answer the question?’
[ Just give me a moment yes alright ]
While it wasn’t unnatural for one to need to turn away from a conversation to attend to more important matters, the fact that his personal system seemed to be neglecting him for someone else still made Lu Fengyi feel a little stifled.
[ I understand, I’ll update it now ]
‘What happened?’ Lu Fengyi asked.
[ Oh, that? Although it doesn’t really affect anyone, something that has never happened before in the entire history of the Fictional Transcension System has occurred ]
Feeling as if he was being led by the nose, Lu Fengyi shook his head before continuing, ‘What do you mean? What happened to the Fictional Transcension System?’
[ Heh, you’re a curious one aren’t you? Fine, I’ll tell you. The higher ups just contacted me, and apparently the origin of the Fictional Transcension System lost a bet with some of his friends or co-workers and is now being forced to change the entire name of the system. From now, my formal name will not be the Fictional Transcension System, but the Anime/Fiction Transcension System ]
‘Huh, doesn’t that name sound terrible compared to the Fictional Transcension System? There’s a dash and everything in the new one’
[ I think so too! Even if the owner lost the bet, couldn’t he do something about the name? Adding random things like that just makes the name completely unprofessional! ]
‘So, am I to call you Anime/Fiction Transcension System from now on? A bit of a mouthful is it now?’ Lu Fengyi wrinkled his brows. Whoever came up with the new name was either completely retarded and had the worst naming sense or was out to ruin the System’s reputation.
[ In any case, there’s nothing that you can do that will help the current situation, so you might as well just focus on whatever is going on around you ]
Shaking his head at the odd interruption, Lu Fengyi turned back towards the students before scanning over them.
By now, every single student except Yuan Tao, the fatty, had already reached at least Dantian realm primary stage. While it wasn’t much compared to Zhang Xuan and Lu Fengyi’s cultivation speeds, it was still considered to be something that only a genius could harness, something that would never be touched by the commoners of the kingdom. If others were to see the level of Zhang Xuan’s students as of now, there would be no one who even dared to call Zhang Xuan a trash teacher any longer.
“Thank you, Zhang laoshi, for your guidance!”
“I thank teacher for imparting such power to me.”
“Your guidance has allowed me to improve by leaps and bounds, there’s nothing that I can say that will express my gratitude.”
One by one, the students began to kowtow and thanking Zhang Xuan, each radiating a completely different level of power than before. Within a mere set of minutes, every student but Yuan Tao and Lu Fengyi had completely transformed, metamorphizing onto the first steps of cultivation.
Coming back to their feet, each of the students looked towards Yuan Tao, who was still sitting in a cross-legged position, evidently straining to break down the bottleneck. Looking at each other, the students stepped into a circle around Yuan Tao before beginning to cheer and encourage the struggling boy, urging him emotionally and mentally into breaking through.
It wasn’t as if Lu Fengyi had never seen teamwork before, however the degree of comradery and support before him was not something that could be easily achieved in his previous life. If the same situation were to be put in a public high school, it was more likely that the student lagging behind would be shunned and bullied by the rest, possibly suffering months of harassment due to harsh social norms.
Before long, the same state of enlightenment began to appear upon Yuan Tao’s face as the energy surrounding the boy began to converge, twisting and striking the acupuncture points accurately. The most critical step of a breakthrough was the final push, however not ever single person was able to overcome this without supplements, not to mention on their first try.
With a silent roar of emotions, Yuan Tao’s condition seemed to surge for the better, however the built up energy collapsed around him and his large frame fell to the floor, sweating and panting from the attempt to breakthrough.
“Sorry teacher I wasn’t able to break through.” Yuan Tao muttered painfully through gritted teeth. Upon awakening from the cultivating state, he had instantly realised that all the other students had completed their breakthrough, making his failure only more painful.
Zhang Xuan shook his head, “It’s fine. The best thing for you right now is to simply recover and try again, this time using your experience to break through in one go!”
Still shaken from the experience, Yuan Tao nodded at Zhang Xuan’s words. While he knew that Zhang Xuan was right, it just seemed shameful that he could not complete on his first try, needing to attempt a second time before being able to complete the task.
An awkward silence full upon Zhang Xuan and the students before being broken abruptly by Lu Fengyi’s cheerful voice.
“It’s all good, Yuan Tao. I ranked lower than you in the student examination by a single rank, so that means that you will eventually succeed me in terms of talent! Just because you were ranked 9997 doesn’t mean that you’re actually trash.”
“Pfff, aren’t you just rubbing the salt in, Lu Fengyi? No one can be this bad at comforting others, can they?” Liu Yang burst out laughing.
“That’s right! Even Lu Fengyi, who was ranked 9998, made it to the status of an Elite Student. Think about what you’re going to become!”
Zhang Xuan shook his head at the cheerful comments. While he didn’t know if Lu Fengyi still had any alternative motives, the fact that his students were bonding so easily made him feel at ease. Now that he had raised most of his student’s cultivations to Dantian realm primary, there would most likely be no problem with the teacher’s examination. Even the challenge that came from the star teacher of the academy would not pose much of a problem as it was almost a given that the other party’s students would be weaker in terms of combat prowess. After all, he did not impart the Heaven’s Path series of combat arts to his students for nothing.
While his other students would not have any problems, the one he was most worried about was Lu Fengyi, but not because of a lack of confidence towards his fighting ability, but the fact that there would be no one willing to challenge Lu Fengyi, considering his status as an Elite Student.
‘Sigh, this Lu Fengyi just makes my life a pain. Why the hell does he even have to be here?’
