Fictional Transcension System - Chapter 65 Stacking In The Docking Area
{ Thank you for using the Fictional Transportation Services. You have arrived at the Fictional Transcension Hall }
A bright, feminine voice rang in Lu Fengyi’s ears before he felt his body go from senseless to complete pain. Opening his eyes to visualise his surroundings, Lu Fengyi realised quickly that he had been dumped upon the floor once more, feeling the icy cold floor and the pain of slamming into a solid surface from a decent height.
[ How are you feeling? Enjoy the trip? ]
Lu Fengyi scoffed lightly at the words before turning his attention towards his surroundings. It seemed that he had been thrown into a room with many other transcenders, each being dumped ruthlessly onto the floor before writhing in pain. Lu Fengyi sighed at the scene. At least he wasn’t alone in feeling this pain.
“Hey! Get out of the docking area!”
Turning to the rough, shouting voice, Lu Fengyi saw a short man with an official looking, navy-blue uniform and an identification card that dangled from his neck.
“What are you doing? You need to get out right now.”
Lu Fengyi showed a little displeasure upon his face, ‘Wouldn’t it be better to use a nicer tone to ask someone to do something. This person would never make it as a worker in modern companies. Such disrespect outright!’
Though Lu Fengyi instantly felt a dislike for the other party, he was about to comply with the instructions as he realised that he was most likely blocking the docking area from other transcenders, however before he could even get a single foot out from the transparent cage of glass, he felt an intense pain and a heavy weight fall upon his back.
Collapsing once more upon the cold floor, Lu Fengyi gasped in pain as he tried to drag himself out of the glass cubicle. Upon finally making it out, Lu Fengyi was met with a pair of shiny boots that lead to a pair of black trousers and a disappointed voice, “This is what happens when you dillydally inside the docking area. It’s not at my expense if you exit or not, however you will be risking the safety of you and the person after you.”
With that, the official stepped over towards the cubicle before dragging out the transcender who had arrived after Lu Fengyi, “You’re a fresh one, aren’t you? Otherwise, there would be no way you would make such a simple mistake.”
Lu Fengyi nodded to confirm the words.
“Good. If you were an experienced transcender instead of a newbie, I might have fined you on the spot for being a complete retard. Now that I think about it, it’s true that I haven’t seen you before.” The official spoke as he laid the other transcender against a wall with a thick sign on top that spelled, in large letters.
“Yes, sir!”
Lu Fengyi stood up shakily as he tried to suppress the biting pain in multiple spots of his body. If he had just listened to the man’s words, he would not be aching as much as he was now. Limping slowly over towards the Lu Fengyi sat himself beside the other transcender before catching his breath.
Now that he was right next to the other party, Lu Fengyi realised that not only was the transcender a girl, but she looked to be quite young, most likely within her early to mid twenties. While he couldn’t confirm immediately, she seemed quite short and would at most, come up to Lu Fengyi’s chin. One must know that Lu Fengyi was not a tall man by any means, possibly just hitting 170 centimetres at most.
Noticing that there was no significant change in the rate he was recovering, Lu Fengyi was beginning to believe that what he was leaning against was nothing but a normal wall. Just as he was about to open his mouth and ask the official, a soft sliding sounded from behind Lu Fengyi,and before long, the entirety of the had been encased in a transparent film curtain.
{ Recovery Boost Initiating }
As the announcement finished, the surrounding air seemed to become thicker, however not in an uncomfortable way. It was almost as if the increased air pressure was pressing upon Lu Fengyi’s bruises and wounds, soothing and slowly healing each and every one. Although Lu Fengyi had already experienced the power of a recovery pill and how it would instantaneously provide the energy to revitalise one’s wounds, his current feeling was completely different.
Only seconds after it had begun, the voice rang out once more.
{ Recovery Boost Complete }
The transparent curtains swept themselves back into the wall behind them and the pressure decreased, becoming normal once more. With a good tug, the officer pulled Lu Fengyi and the other transcender off their feet before slapping them both heartily on the back, “Alright. Make sure this doesn’t happen again, or else you know what I will do. Now go off and do whatever you came here for.”
Lu Fengyi thanked the officer before preparing move off, however he was stopped once more by the ever-so booming voice, “Hey, boy! Come here and help your fellow transcender get to wherever she wants to go.”
Lu Fengyi turned to see the officer helping the transcender maintain her balance while beckoning for him to come over. Feeling guilt-ridden, Lu Fengyi hurried over before slinging one of the girl’s arms over his shoulder and supporting most of her weight, only allowing her feet to just touch the floor.
“It’s your fault that she’s in this condition. Although her injuries are healed, she most likely still feels mentally weak from the pain of crashing into a lad like you, so just support her until she recovers.” The officer nodded before stepping back towards the docking areas, once more screaming at another stack, “Get out of the docking area!”
Shrugging away his thoughts, Lu Fengyi began dragging the girl along the hallway, ‘So, where do I go now?’
[ Did you never learn to read signs? ]
‘I have! But you’ve never told me where I’m supposed to go…’
A moment of silence passed.
[ Sigh, to think that you’re this useless. To think that you can’t even predict where we’re to go now ]
Lu Fengyi stared at the sign pole that protruded down from out of the ceiling, possibly hundreds, if not thousands of destinations listed. Putting his hand to his face, Lu Fengyi muttered internally, ‘How do you expect me to guess where I’m supposed to go with this…’
Just as Lu Fengyi was about to continue asking the system for directions, he felt the girl upon his shoulders shift a little. Quickly turning his head, Lu Fengyi began in a concerned tone, “Hey, are you alri…”
Lu Fengyi felt a fist in his face and his feet leaving the floor as his entire body was launched away without warning.
‘What the hell is this. I try to correct my wrongs by helping you get to where you need to go, but what I get is a damn punch in the jaw? This has to be a misunderstanding!’
