Finding Stardust - Chapter 167 A Very Important Gues
For a moment, Emma froze. Her mind went dizzy, and she couldn’t help it when Therius lips kissed hers.
Maybe it was the breathtaking view around them, maybe it was the romantic atmosphere, or maybe it was the fact that Therius always treated her so nicely and acted like a caring boyfriend…
Subconsciously Emma closed her eyes and let Therius kiss her lips.
Therius’ chest was filled with euphoria. He didn’t know that kissing a woman could be this intoxicating. He grabbed Emma’s head and stroked her long hair down to her waist.
When his tongue thrust between Emma’s half-opened lips and he wanted to explore her mouth passionately, suddenly Emma was moved from her daze and she pushed Therius away.
“Emma …” Therius whispered hoarsely. He looked at the girl with eyes filled with longing. He raised his hand to touch Emma’s hair again, but the girl brushed his hand off.
“If you don’t want our friendship for the next 2.5 months to be ruined, I suggest you don’t try kissing me again,” said Emma.
She was angry with herself for being lulled by the romantic atmosphere and didn’t immediately turn Therius down, that the man could kiss her.
Jeez … what have I done … Emma complained to herself.
She rubbed her lips hard to get rid of the trace of Therius’ lips on hers. She felt guilty for having another man kiss her, while her own husband was lying in a coma.
Meanwhile, Therius could only see Emma rubbing her lips with a tinge of pain in his heart. He really enjoyed the girl’s lips and felt like he wanted to continue kissing her. But he knew he still had to be patient at this point.
Of course, Emma still considered herself a married woman. She would feel like she was cheating on her husband if she kissed Therius, even though the prince knew for sure that Haoran was no longer in this world.
Even though his body was still there, and he was still breathing, the man would never wake up again.
“Emma … I really like you,” Therius said solemnly. “I’m sorry I got carried away.”
Emma was stunned by the seriousness in Therius’ words. She admitted that it was not entirely Therius’ fault. She was also lulled by the atmosphere around them and did not push him away quickly.
The girl pursed her lips.
“That must never happen again.” She got up from the ground and walked with her blanket away from Therius. She raised her right hand to signal Therius not to follow her. “Don’t follow me. You can find a space for yourself. This salt flat is huge.”
Therius sighed and just sat there, watching Emma walk away from him. The girl looked like she was floating in the void of outer space. When she walked gracefully like this, Therius was reminded of the celestial goddesses.
Emma walked the two hundred meters into the middle of the salt flat and sat enjoying the view alone. She covered herself with the blanket to keep her body warm. She tried to forget the events that had just happened when she and Therius kissed.
Truth be told, if Emma wanted to be honest, it wasn’t actually a one-sided kiss. Emma kissed Therius back because she got carried away. Only after the kiss became more passionate, her consciousness returned and criticized her for letting another man kiss her.
She cried softly because she missed Haoran. In such a beautiful place, where heaven and earth became one… she felt so alone. Even though Therius and Xion had been friendly to her during the past few months, and they treated her as one of them, Emma still felt that she was just an outsider.
Emma longed for her friends when they played, studied, teased each other, and be there for their big days. She remembered the moment from a year ago when they celebrated David’s birthday and decided to set off fireworks while drinking booze and later stargazing.
She was eager to show them all this glorious sight. She wished to sit with Haoran beside her, watching the wondrous spectacle, and discussed the various constellations and galaxies.
Suddenly, Emma’s tears dripped down her cheeks, and she cried silently, lamenting her bad luck.
Meanwhile, Therius could only observe Emma from afar. He did not want to disturb the girl and create enmity between them. So far, his relationship with Emma had improved. He didn’t want to spoil it just because he was in a hurry to get another kiss.
Subconsciously, he touched his lips and closed his eyes, trying to remember how Emma’s lips felt against his.
Ahh .. her lips were sweet and soft. Therius couldn’t wait to someday kiss her again… and maybe even do more to her.
The young man lay on his back and watched the sky adorned with billions of stars, the two moons, and various nebulae clearly visible in the clear, cloudless night sky.
His body felt a little cold because the temperature in this part of Daneria was indeed freezing, but he didn’t want to spoil the view with fire.
Five hours later, the Daneria sun rose and slowly their surroundings became bright. Therius rose from the salt flat and walked over to Emma.
He wanted to ask if the girl still wanted to enjoy the scenery or accompany him to hunt wild animals to eat. He remembered Emma asked him and Xion to take her hunting when they decided to do so.
“Emma,” Therius touched Emma’s shoulder. “Would you like to stay here or going with me to hunt?”
The girl turned and nodded. “I will go with you.”
“Very well. I will tell Xion that we will go hunting. You just wait here,” said Therius. He took the blanket off Emma’s shoulder. “Here, let me take it to the travs.”
Emma let Therius take the blanket and put it in the trunk of the travs. Meanwhile, she looked around her and was amazed by her surroundings. The scenery in this salt flat was no less impressive in the daytime than in the nighttime.
Ahh … she really felt like she could stay here for a long time.
Xion, who still looked sleepy, just waved when Therius and Emma said they were leaving to hunt. He huddled back in the travs cabin and continued his sleep with a happy face.
Therius and Emma had fun exploring the green hills around them before they decided to catch two small animals to bring to the travs. Xion was given the chore to cook since he didn’t participate in the hunting.
Emma decided to be nice to Therius and acted as if nothing had happened between them a few hours earlier. She just wanted to forget about the incident and not discuss it at all.
Therius understood what the girl was thinking and decided to do the same, acting as if nothing happened.
He also didn’t want Xion to annoy him so much. If Xion found out that he had kissed Emma and was later rejected, Xion would always make fun of the incident. He would never let his friend have that fun.

The three of them spent their time adventuring in Daneria by visiting three different places. The beautiful cliffs with twenty waterfalls, the amazing Salt Flat, and the last place they visited was the ocean. The water looked purple because the seafloor was filled with purple algae. Emma was impressed and thought the next place was nicer than the previous ones.
Emma had never seen such places before, and she was grateful that Therius and Xion took her and showed her so many amazing sights. She felt comforted after traveling for months in a dull environment. Her heart was now filled with happiness.
Now, even though they still had 2.5 months to go, she felt refreshed and could enjoy the rest of their trip.
“Are you happy?” Xion asked Emma as they boarded the travs and prepared to return to the Daneria space base, to finally get back to their ship, The Coralia.
Emma nodded. “Yes. Thank you for inviting me to explore this planet with you.”
“You’re welcome,” said Therius. He started the travs’ engine and drove west.
Even though they had an adventure for 3 days, it was actually more like 5 days of their regular days since Daneria had longer days and nights than what they were used to.
Emma thought she was finally happy again. The trip was much needed, and she was grateful to be given the opportunity.
The travs landed and parked in front of the research center and as soon as their doors were opened, an officer quickly came running to approach Therius.
“Sir.. You came at the right time. Our base has a very important guest visiting today. He would like to meet all mission leaders that is currently transitting Daneria,” he said with respect.
Therius furrowed his brows. He was indeed the current mission leader of the research spaceship, Coralia. However, they were not on a real scientific mission. He didn’t want to disclose what he was doing to any ‘important guest’.
“Who is he?” Therius asked the officer with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
“It is Prince Heron, Sir.”
Therius instantly clenched his fists. Emma could immediately guess who the person was.
Was it one of Therius’ cousins?
