Finding Stardust - Chapter 169 Chaos Ensued
When everyone present heard Heron’s words, their faces were instantly filled with expressions of extreme shock. The people exchanged astonished looks.
What did he say? Prince Licht? The Crown Prince?
Was it true that the crown prince was here? At the Daneria space base so far from the capital?
How was that possible?
The royal family was quite reclusive and the common people were rarely able to see them in person. Only a few pictures of them circulating in public, or when they appeared to attend important celebration activities, all looked different from their real-life appearances.
Prince Heron was recognized by them because he came with an official entourage, while Prince Licht …
Was it true that he was disguising himself as the mission leader of the Coralia Ship?
“Let her go! Otherwise, I will make you regret it!!” Therius said in an icy voice. His face was filled with rage. Those who knew him would understand that such emotion was rarely seen in the open.
Emma squinted her eyes and stared at Therius. Her lips cussed at Izia as she struggled to break free from Izia’s grip, but somehow in her topaz eyes, Therius didn’t see the slightest trace of fear.
Was Emma pretending? Therius’ heart gradually calmed down. Alright .. He will follow the girl on her act.
Therius didn’t see Xion either. So he thought maybe this was part of their plan to handle the enemy, without even telling him. He knew as the Time Master, Xion wouldn’t have any problems to escape and free Emma if he wanted.
“Prince Licht, you are very confident in leaving Akkadia secretly for a year without decent security forces. When I heard that you were leaving on a research mission, you could fool me for a while there. Fortunately, I finally got the right information at the right time,” Heron said in a mocking tone. He turned to Emma and raised his right hand to touch her chin. “Is this her? Oh… how beautiful…”
“Shut up, Heron!!!” Therius immediately threw a fireball at Heron’s impudent hand, and his cousin swiftly caught it. Heron was not a weak man. He also had a superpower as an ice mage.
Therius’ fireball that had almost hit him fell to the floor in the form of ice chunks, scattered all around Heron.
“Come on, get him!” ordered Heron to Mayn. The bald-headed man on his side immediately glanced at Therius. He focused his thoughts on controlling all the audience’s minds in the hall to charge toward the crown prince.
“Oh my God … what is this? Why are you fighting here?” exclaimed Professor Amara frantically. “Please, Your Highness. Whatever it was the problem you have between you two, please settle it amicably. We are nothing but civilians here … We don’t want to get involved in a conflict like this.”
She begged and touched Heron’s sleeve to ask him to stop Mayn, but Heron just shook off his sleeve and walked toward the door. He couldn’t care less of those civilians.
He signaled to Izia to take Emma away while he would stay in this hall until Mayn managed to kill Therius. If Mayn needed help, he would join in attacking his cousin.
Instantly, the people in the hall rose from their seats and brought chairs, sticks, guns, and anything they could find to attack Therius and walked over to the man. Their eyes looked empty and they were obviously were not themselves. They strode toward Therius who was standing on the stage and tried to chase Emma, who was being dragged away by Izia.
Therius actually didn’t really want to chase after Emma. He thought she would be just fine. He suspected Emma was only pretending to be weak and didn’t have any magical power to make the enemy turn down their guard. Therius also suspected Xion had disappeared for this reason.
If Heron thought he just needed to worry about Therius, then he wouldn’t be too careful around Emma and Xion. So, the two could later throw a surprise attack.
Therius pretended to struggle with the civilians’ onslaught on him. He jumped here and there and dodged their chairs, the sticks, and even guns.
Actually, if he wanted, Therius would be able to kill these people in one blow, but Heron knew Therius wouldn’t hurt the innocent people who attacked him. After all .. these people were very important to Akkadia’s exploration missions. The crown prince can’t possibly kill them.
“Let go of me!! Who are you? Heyy… Let me go!!!” Meanwhile, the sound of Emma’s screams became fainter and farther away. Heron smiled a little when he heard that.
Heron also had ordered Izia to take Emma to his own ship. After he had killed Therius, he would return to Akkadia with the beautiful princess and claim victory over his cousins. Emma was the trophy for anyone who wanted to become the next ruler of Akkadia.
He was determined to get rid of Therius at all costs. This was his last chance before Therius actually managed to prove himself to the royal council and then ascended the throne as the king.
If Therius became king, Heron was not sure that he would survive. The whole thing was not only a question of power struggle but also a matter of life or death.
He was even prepared to bring a battleship if needed to destroy the Coralia ship. Luckily, Therius decided to make a long transit at the Daneria space base, so Heron didn’t have to take that drastic measure and sacrifice a very fine research ship like Coralia.
If he succeeded in killing Therius here and now, then he would use Mayn to brainwash everyone present into forgetting what happened. In doing so, he would remove all evidence and witnesses.
He had ordered his men to chase and intercept the messenger ship Therius had sent to Akkadia. King Cassius would never know what really happened back here.

Emma rolled her eyes as she cast her glance around, looking for Xion but couldn’t find him. Earlier, when Therius told Emma to hide, Xion pulled her to the Coralia ship, and let Therius face his cousin alone.
But before they even reached the ship, suddenly a ruthless-looking woman blocked their way. Emma turned to the side to see Xion’s reaction, but that young rascal had disappeared without a trace.
Emma was very upset. She didn’t think Xion would just leave her to face the enemy alone. She quickly read the mind of the villainess in front of her and learned that the woman’s name was Izia, and she was one of Prince Heron’s trusted bodyguards.
Emma almost smiled when she found out that Izia was an electromancer, like herself. She hid her sigh of relief. Emma was sure that Izia’s attack would have no effect on her.
Even though Emma was not as strong as Izia and her energy level was several levels below her, Emma was sure that Izia would not dare to attack her with powerful electromancy, because Prince Heron needed Emma Stardust alive. So that even if Izia decided to attack, surely Emma would be able to handle it.
The quick-witted girl thought fast. If she pretended to be a weak girl with no magical power, Izia would be caught off guard and didn’t think Emma could actually withstand her attack.
That’s why Emma immediately pretended to scream in shock and acted like she was terrified when Izia grabbed her hand and shocked her with low-frequency electricity to Emma’s body. Izia hurriedly grabbed Emma and led her into the hall, to show her to Prince Heron.
After Heron was satisfied and told Izia to take Emma to their own ship, Emma was still pretending to scream and struggle when Izia dragged her away.
Emma paid close attention to her surroundings and tried to find an opportunity to escape while pretending to struggle from Izia. She planned to suddenly attack Izia and then go back to Therius.
Emma didn’t dare use telemancy to tell the young man her plans, when they met earlier in the hall. She just squinted her eyes at Therius with a meaningful look, and hoped the prince would understand.
Ahh … I hope Therius understands my signals, Emma thought. If he doesn’t understand my signal, then he doesn’t deserve to be king. How can we have a stupid king? She thought in annoyance.
Emma also couldn’t understand why Xion wasn’t around them. Did he run away or did he go to find help?
“Let go of me! Watch out if you dare to take me!!!” Emma kept screaming as she tried to escape Izia’s grip.
“Ugh, shut up, you brat! If it weren’t for Prince Heron needing you alive, I’d have shocked you with electricity to death,” Izia blurted, looking irritated. She gave Emma another low-frequency electricity shock to teach her a lesson.
“Aaaw!!! It hurts!!!” Emma’s body shook, and her face contorted in pain. Her expression looked very pitiable. Then, suddenly her body collapsed.
“Ouch ..! This girl is so weak …” Izia muttered under her breath as she caught Emma’s body before it touched the ground. Izia looked so annoyed.
However, before she could drag Emma back to the ship, out of nowhere several vines had appeared and wrapped themselves around Izia’s arms and locked them behind her back.
