Finding Stardust - Chapter 170 Xion Appears
Izia looked very angry as her body was wrapped by some strong vines from out of nowhere. She tried to break free, but the vines bound her chest, feet, and arms tighter and tighter until she was almost out of breath.
“You’re a herbomancer!” exclaimed Izia.
She was both shocked and amazed. At first, she thought Princess Emma was a weak, helpless girl. Now, she just realized that the girl was only pretending.
Izia angrily exerted her core power to fill her body with electricity. As the high-level electricity coursing through her body, the vines wrapped around her arms and legs immediately snapped and fell to the ground. She snickered, “Ha. Your little weapon had nothing against me.”
Emma jumped out and broke free from Izia’s grip. “Let go of me!”
“You, little bitch! So, you were only pretending to be weak, huh? Tch… you are just a herbomancer. Your weak power can’t face my electromancy!” Izia mocked Emma.
Izia’s body was slowly surrounded by flashes of lightning. In no time, the vines that were wrapping around her body finally all snapped. She immediately charged toward Emma with a low-level lightning strike.
Meanwhile, Emma was still trying to exert her power and create more vines to chase Izia and hold her back, even though they couldn’t last long. Izia quickly broke the vines again one by one.
“Take this! Hyaaa … !!” After snapping off the last vine that was blocking her from charging, Izia moved towards Emma and swung her right hand.
Emma quickly judged the level of energy used to attack her, and this time she made no attempt to dodge Izia’s strike. It wasn’t strong enough to cause damage to her.
In the next second, Izia’s face changed. She was stunned and stood rooted on the spot when she saw Emma accepted her lightning. Izia just realized that the bolt of lightning she had just thrown at Emma was received by the girl very calmly.
There was a blinding flash as the lightning bolt hit Emma’s chest, but instead of falling to the ground or being injured, the girl seemed to be enjoying it.
It was a low-level attack, but regular people would usually be shocked enough that they would get hurt. Not Emma.
“Crazy .. is … is she also an electromancer??” Izia could only ask herself. Her guess was immediately confirmed because Emma then returned her attack by sending a lightning bolt of her own back at Izia.
Emma felt there was no point in covering up her powers anymore, now that they were clearly facing life or death situations. She had read Heron’s thoughts back at the hall and knew about his plans to kill Therius and destroy Coralia ship.
How dare you, she was fuming. Haoran is in the Coralia ship. I will not forgive you! Anyone who dares to lay a finger on him must come and face me!
Izia blocked Emma’s thunderbolt with the same thunderbolt. Their two bolts of lightning met in the air and created a blinding light and deafening thunders.
Even though Heron had made it clear that Izia should not hurt Emma and that she must take her alive to their ship, this time, Izia could no longer hold back. If she kept on going easy on Emma, then she would be the one to get hurt.
“Crazy … this princess is a multiple-element mage,” Izia muttered under her breath.
She jumped right and left to avoid Emma’s thunderbolt attacks and the vines that chased her wherever she went.
“You’re stubborn!” said Izia. “Don’t blame me for being rude …”
She jumped on to a travs parked nearby and prepared to strike Emma with her highest level of lightning bolts.
HYAAAAA !!!
Emma immediately realized that Izia would no longer go easy on her and attacked her with all her might. When Izia’s thunderbolt struck, Emma quickly dashed into the air.
BOOMMM
The ground where she was standing seconds ago was struck by dazzling flashes of lightning, and a burnt mark was immediately visible on its surface.
Meanwhile, Izia, who did not think that her target could actually fly, became utterly shocked. She immediately cast her eyes upwards and charged another thunderbolt toward Emma. She mustered all her powers and gathered lightning in the sky.
“So… apparently, you are a triple-element mage …” she sneered. “That’s impressive. Unfortunately, it looks like you’ve never trained properly before. The powers are wasted on you. Such a shame…”
“You talk too much,” said Emma. “You’re just a lowly bodyguard. How dare you attack the crown princess of Akkadia. You’re courting death?!”
At that time, for some reason Emma felt that it would be better for her to declare herself as the future wife of the crown prince, Therius, to make Izia realized that her actions were against the law, and Emma had the right to kill her if the villainess was determined to continue her attacks.
“You will not become a crown princess without the rightful crown prince,” said Izia stubbornly. “It is Prince Heron who will ascend the throne to become the king. Prince Licht is not supported by the people. I am only carrying out Prince Heron’s orders here.”
“Hahaha .. whatever you say. Well… as the future wife of THE RIGHTFUL Crown Prince, I order you to surrender and repent and I will make sure your sentence is reduced. However, if you still insist on attacking us and denying the king’s orders, don’t you dare think that you can get off easily! I will personally make sure you get the worst possible torture that you will beg me to kill you!”
She was furious to learn of Heron’s cunning plot to take her away from Therius, kill the prince, and even destroy Coralia if necessary.
Emma didn’t want to be taken by another guy. She didn’t know if her life would change for the better or worse with Heron. At least, with Therius, it was the devil she knew.
She already knew how Therius was like, and they also had made an agreement in the form of a binding contract. Emma didn’t want Heron to come all of a sudden and mess it all up.
Izia focused her mind on exerting her highest power. She raised her arms swiftly and swung her right and left hands alternately, this time exerting all the powers she had.
Lightning immediately flashed across the Daneria sky one after another. Emma, who was flying high in the air, was forced to dart here and there to dodge the attacks. Even though she could fly and her energy had gone up one level from before, Emma’s energy level was still below Izia.
A few minutes later, the onslaught was starting to wear her down. Alightning bolt coming her way nearly grazed her shoulder, making a deafening sound.
Emma was startled and almost froze on the spot because of the shock. At the same time, another lightning bolt with a dangerously high charge was fired at her at a high speed.
Fortunately, at that critical moment, suddenly, a strong hand pulled Emma to the side to dodge the lightning bolt strike. His arms embraced Emma tightly as he turned his body and shield her from the attack.
“Are you okay?” Xion asked in a worried voice.
He hugged Emma and took her to a safe place while waving his right hand without looking at Izia. Two seconds later, there was a shrill scream, and they could saw the female bodyguard lying unconscious.
Emma felt her heart skipped a beat when Izia’s lightning bolts almost grazed her skin. If she had stayed on the same spot, now she would have been dead from the next attack. Emma was panting and unconsciously grabbed Xion by the collar.
“Where have you been?!! How could you let me face the enemy alone??!!” blurted the girl while pursing her lips. “What kind of master are you to let your disciple go alone when she’s not yet ready???”
When they landed on top of the research building. Emma managed to turn to the side and saw Izia lying unconscious on the ground with a bleeding head. “Is she dead?”
Xion shook his head. “No, but she is injured pretty badly.”
“Where were you??” she asked again.
“I had an important matter to tend to,” said Xion. He smiled at the grumpy Emma. The man was relieved. He considered Emma fine if she still had the nerve to scold Xion like this.
Emma then realized that Xion was still hugging her.
“Uhm … can you let me go, please? The villain has already lost,” muttered Emma, releasing her grip on Xion’s collar.
“Oh .. that’s right,” said Xion with a chuckle. He hurriedly looked around to make sure Therius didn’t see him hugging Emma, even if it was for the girl’s safety. Therius might go berserk out of jealousy.
They finally stood straight on top of the building and observed the situation below them. Around Izia’s sprawling body, they saw dozens of people, both researchers and soldiers, gathered below.
“Therius is still in the hall,” said Emma. “We have to help him.”
“Come on,” said Xion. He immediately darted down and into the hall, followed by Emma.
The hall was in absolute chaos. They see bodies on the ground and Therius being surrounded by hundreds of people trying to attack him with all kinds of weapons they could find.
