Follow You To The End - Chapter 2
“Lashballen? Did you spend time in Lashballen?”
Aris, who unknowingly spoke informally because she was surprised, frowned. As he forgot what he was walking, he stopped, and Mirea took a step lightly to his side. Then, without paying attention to Aris’ reaction, she laughed and said exaggeratedly.
“Yes, Lashballen! If there are any neighbors in danger who have gathered to protect world peace, we should run! By now, all the relief supplies should have arrived, not only in this town but also around this area.
This area is heavily damaged by the demons. When I heard about it, I was supposed to support it in a lump sum. But first, we’re only distributing relief supplies, and rescuing the villagers is not part of this mission.”
Although Mirea hesitated a little awkwardly, Aris still looked puzzled. This time, Mirea took the lead in walking…
Unlike Aris, who walked behind her, looking only in front of her, Mirea looked back at Aris and talked to him.
“And although I belong to Lashballen, the relief supplies today are not only from Lashballen. I was lucky enough to bury it because the timing was right.”
“What are you talking about?”
“That’s double the surprise.”
“So the explanation is…?”
Aris was about to complain about her lack of explanation when they heard another cry of a demon again from afar. As the distance was closer than before, they ran as fast as they had promised with their mouths shut.
Although there was no intention of meeting each other, they were both able to get to the entrance of the village safely without falling behind each other. Aris looked a little surprised at Mirea, who was gasping for air, and did not seem to have any difficulty in following him.
When they arrived in a safe place, Aris tried to open his mouth to say what he couldn’t say, and a blonde woman in priestly uniform came out to see Aris and Mira.
“Welcome. You both are safe!”
“Lady Lizelle.”
“I was worried because the demon came out and you didn’t come back. Are you alright?”
“As you can see.” Aris replied.
Lizelle, who carefully examined Aris to see if he was really hurt, said in a soft voice to Mirea, who was standing a step away from her.
“Thank you for bringing this man back.”
But Aris sighed softly before Mirea could answer, “You didn’t have to.”
“It wasn’t that I didn’t believe your skills, but please thank her. You are supposed to do it, right?
“And if that’s the case, did you send the woman alone?”
“You were alone, too?”
Mirea was watching them with her arms folded, missing the right time to break into the other person’s conversation.
“How much did the hunt earn?”
Aris shrugged, showing his empty hands. Lizelle smiled bitterly.
“Well, fortunately the relief supplies are on time, so I think I’ll take a break for a while.”
“More than that, I heard this woman came from Lashballen, and the relief supplies were there…”
“By the way, it wasn’t just from Lashballen. I also sent the supplies from Frost Sect together.”
At Mirea’s answer, Aris asked her unexpected face, “Did the Frost Sect and the Lashballen Association cooperate?”
“I just accidentally went along the road at the same time and accompanied you in the middle.
Thanks to your God.
Did you request for supply and rescue instead? Rescue is still difficult in earnest, but it seems that they could have helped with food supply. I heard that information from Lashballen, and it was not long before I applied for this area. It’s better to have more people if you want to fight against demons. That’s why I’m here. I’m grateful that I can receive protection with sacred power there.”
Maybe that’s why there were two big trucks. Mirea said it was nothing special, but Aris’ doubts only grew bigger. It was strange that Lashballen and Frost Sect sent relief supplies, but it was also strange that they happened to send them at the same time.
Aris, who was naturally wary of strangers, realized one thing. Frost Sect members wore clothes inscribed with patterns in the shape of a circle, the symbol of the sect.
On the other hand, Mirea looked ordinary. She wore a dark blue half-coat, short pants, and a knee pad over long socks that reached over her thighs. Of all strangers, Mirea was the only one who wore it so.
Aris looked at the group of people wearing clothes with the Frost Sect emblem, and asked Mirea, “Where are the other Lashballen people?”
“I’m alone.”
Aris looked at Mirea with wide eyes.
