Football Lord - Chapter 25
The whistle to end the match was finally blown by the referee as the man city players who were happy immediately started to congratulate themselves while the wolves players felt dejected as they left the pitch.
Man City manager Coach Taylor and his coaches smiled to the man city players and congratulated them as they were going to the locker room to bath and change there clothes.
When Tony was leaving to go the Locker room, Coach Taylor came over to him and placed his hand over Tony’s shoulder.
“Very good performance, keep it up Tony” Before Coach Taylor then moved to congratulate other players.
Tony was elated as he had made what could be considered a perfect debut in football. He scored a goal and created an assist.
He went to the locker room with the other players as all of them where celebrating there first win of the season.
They showered changed there clothes and moved back to the hotel to rest for the night. Tony and John got into there room together.
“At least my first official match was a win, even though I didn’t score or assist in the match. But you had a wonderful debut with a goal and an assist from the bench, I can’t help but be a little jealous” John said as he playfully pouted to Tony.
“Haha it was just me being lucky, at least we got to play in the match and didn’t just sit on the bench throughout the game.” Tony consoled him as both boys continued to discuss throughout the evening.
A while later all the players and staffs were led to the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. The atmosphere was very lively, as the players and staffs all discussed with others about anything as they ate there dinner.
After dinner the players were to go back and sleep while the other staffs stayed behind as they drank wine and discussed happily.
The players were not allowed to drink as they were still under the age of 21, and alcohol was not advisable for athletes.
When Tony got back to the room, he called his parents and shared the good news with them. His parents were extremely excited as they felt it showed there son had a talent for football and could maybe make it as a professional footballer.
After the call Tony and John talked together for a while, before they decided to rest for the night.
Before he slept off, Tony heard Rose voice in his head. ‘Hey you haven’t chosen a skill to copy from the match, we could either go for the skill of Longshots B+ or the skill of passing B+.’
‘Which do you think is better?’ Tony mind asked Rose of her opinion.
‘I think it depends on the position we want to be playing and the kind of player we want to be known as first. As either a goal scorer or a creative player.’
Tony weighed it in his mind for a while and decided to go for the passing skill. He knew creative players were gems as they were few and very important in teams. And they could easily make a team look better than it is, with there performance for the team.
Rose copied the skill as the familiar cold feeling over his body to signify the successful copying of the skill.
Tony said good night to Rose as he slept happily without any worries in his heart.

The next morning Tony showered and dressed up as he and his team went to have there breakfast before they all entered the team bus and began there journey back to Manchester.
The journey was more lively as they had successfully won the match. The players talked about plenty things during the journey.
Tony joined in the conversations as he also bantered with some of the players until they got back to the academy.
They were all allowed to go home and rest for the day. “Due to the fact that there is no mid week match and your performance in the match, I will be allowing you all to rest for the day and the next.”
Immediately Coach Taylor announced that, the players all shouted in cheers for the extra day of rest on Monday.
“Training resumes on Tuesday morning, so don’t be late. Good bye.” The players were all happy and satisfied with the outcome as they all went home happily.
