Forbidden Soul Cultivation - Chapter 4 The Miasma

The feast was sumptuous, everyone was talking with each other happily. The room was surely a private class because not just about the space that could fit almost 30 people both adult and young or about it being air conditioned. There was even television with wide range of channels to choose from. Mark knew that this definitely cost much and considering the time he spent here with constant support from medicine his mom that single handedly raise him and his sister till now would definitely be in a struggle.

“Mom, I won’t definitely let you down!” Mark said as he know that saying more would only make his mother pamper him.

“Mhhmm. I know son, you will”

“Did you have a family in the otherworld?” Grandpa suddenly asked.

“No, I dont. Why did ask grandpa?”

The television that was playing an asian drama was cut by a news flash. The news is about NASA observations about space where viewing thousands of galaxy using the Hubble telescope shows that there was a rare nearby occurrence of a supernova or explosion of a star. The news shows images that depict the situation there. They said that there’s no need to panic because it doesn’t have to do anything with earth and it’s after effects won’t reach here. But there’s something that is wierd about the explosion. Everyone looked at Mark trying out to find if it is what they think it is.

Mark looked solemn. He explain clearly the situation.

“That is surely what you think it is. It’s the miasma that swallowed the previous world. This event is called the Evolution in the previous world. NASA think it as an explosion because of the sudden out burst of it that it has already have the same size as a whole galaxy. Although the pictures are close enough, it doesn’t clearly shows the true form of it. If it’s really a supernova as they said, it should be revealing a circular wave of light rays. But as we can see, it looks more of a cloud.

The miasma is like the essence of the world. It could enhance any creature even plants. It’s more easier to understand if we think of it like a drug. Drug that stimulate the growth and evolution of living things. It’s just about how many dosage or the capacity of a creature depend on it self. Even things like gecko on your ceiling could evolve to a ferocious western dragon. But what does like other drug do other than the stimulation, it also has it’s side effects.

It’s is also like a violent blank element that could be transform in any type of element with the use of proper technique. How did the galaxy and planets formed? It has used a huge amount of energy just to create a star. Close enough to big bang theory. The first outburst of miasma, with no intrusion of things, the planet formed from nothing naturaly with blank elements forming together slowly affecting each other and with time pass those things build spherical shapes as if they were gathering to the center. When it reach the point where the blank element in the center can’t support itself no more, it started to absorb others. With the first absorbtion the first element the Hydrogen also was born. After which just like in the theory the gas of hydrogen forming sphere continuesly revolving reach the point of explosion forming the planet. Why did I say it was violent? Because if a container can’t bear the essence of the world, it would burst just like with the Chinese ancient cultivators absorbing too much will cause a backlash.

With the help of blank element normal people could be like those magician in the legends casting fireball. Animals like snake could produce more powerful poison.”

Thinking of these, Mark couldn’t help but ask “But have any of you think of what if the dead absorbed it? No, I mean. Since it gave birth to life why can’t it bring something from the dead back to life?”
