Forced Marriage: CEO’s Sweet Little Wife - Chapter 112
A raw whack from Jonathan’s stout hand touched the drunken man’s face, just one bang sent the drunken man stumbling on the pavement with the corners of his lips bleeding.
The drunk man tried to get up and counter Jonathan’s sudden attack, but he just tried to stand up, Jonathan was ready to give his next attack, Jonathan carried Selena behind his body.
Selena seemed to be shaking behind Jonathan’s body, she was so scared.
“Fuck you!” Jonathan kicked the drunk man’s stomach until the drunk man’s body shook slightly, once again he clenched his fist and was about to hit the drunk man’s head but Selena grabbed his arm.
“Let go of my hand!” Jonathan asked Selena.
Selena shook her head and bowed her head.
“No, please stop, I don’t want if he could die and you have a criminal record because of me, stop it please,” Selena asked in a trembling voice.
Hearing Selena’s request, Jonathan took a deep breath.
“If it weren’t for this woman, I would have killed you!” Jonathan hissed furiously.
He grabbed the back of Selena’s hand that was gripping his wrist.
Jonathan’s palms felt warm in Selena’s trembling hands.
Jonathan could see Selena’s pale face and pity her.
“Can I take you home tonight?” Jonathan asked in a vibration voice, he knew that he had disappointed Selena by breaking his promise at their lunch the other day.
“If I let you go home alone tonight, I won’t be able to live in peace, what if another drunk guy is bothering you, I–”
Selena nodded her head slowly without waiting for Jonathan to finish his sentence first, which means she accepted Jonathan’s offer to take her home.
Jonathan couldn’t contain his excitement, but the current situation wasn’t right for him to smile, so he hid those happy feelings only in his heart.
“Let me take you home.” Jonathan guides Selena.
Selena glanced at the drunken man’s face who was still groaning in pain on the sidewalk, she immediately looked away and looked depressed.
Jonathan noticed Selena’s scarred face, he looked concerned.
He took Selena to his jeep, opened the door, and let Selena in first before he caught up behind the wheel.
Jonathan did not immediately start the car engine, he still looked at Selena’s frightened and pale face, he took the initiative to give Selena a drink.
“I understand what you just went through, drink a little water so you feel a little relieved and I will take you home, you don’t have to be afraid of me, I won’t do anything weird or harass you, I won’t do that, I promise you.” Jonathan tries to convince Selena, he knows that his relationship with Selena was still too short to know and trust in each other, so if Selena still feels hesitant and suspicious about him, he still understands.
Selena still refuses to lift her head, she was still very scared, the drunken man’s face haunts her, and the words she hears still ring in her head.
Cheap whore.
Selling yourself on the side of the road.
Prostitutes, selling bodies.
all of that kept ringing in her ears, making Selena’s tears fall. She wept in front of Jonathan.
Jonathan tried to calm Selena, seemingly calming a woman wasn’t his forte, he looked confused and clumsy, what should he offer first to Selena, water or tissue.
“Ah, do you want a drink, ah no, you look like you need a tissue?” He said to himself, he was confused looking for a tissue, the last time he put the tissue box in… where he places it, he did not find the tissue box on the dashboard of his car.
Jonathan was getting more and more confused seeing Selena’s tears getting heavier. He panicked.
Without thinking, Jonathan took the hem of the shirt he was wearing, leaned over, and wiped Selena’s wet face.
Selena forced her head to look at Jonathan’s clothes being used to wipe her face, she could even see Jonathan’s six-pack abs.
Jonathan was dumbfounded to see Selena staring at him, and did Selena too, both of them were silent with their eyes meeting awkwardly.
Selena lowered her gaze to the hem of Jonathan’s shirt.
“You, why are you wiping my face with your shirt?” Selena asked with a frown on her face. Her soft voice made Jonathan’s heart beat fast.
“You, you cry, and I don’t know what to do, I’m not good at comforting a crying woman,” Jonathan whispered with a strange-looking face, his face flushed red and embarrassing.
“I’m sorry for suddenly crying in front of you, you must be confused, but–”
Jonathan shook his head, he didn’t agree with what Selena just said.
“You don’t confuse me at all, and you don’t need to apologize, you’re not wrong, what’s wrong is that it’s too quiet and drizzling tonight which makes the atmosphere even quieter plus a drunken jerk!” Jonathan hissed annoyed.
“Fortunately I followed you ..” he whispered again.
Selena frowned at Jonathan’s whisper just now.
“What did you say? You followed– me?” Selena asked with a surprised face.
Damn you! You exposed your secret.
Jonathan pulled a stiff smile and made Selena even more suspicious.
“Ah, I mean, I happened to see you crossing this road so I stopped my car, I accidentally saw you and–” Jonathan doesn’t seem like a very good liar.
Selena looked at Jonathan’s face with annoyed eyes.
“Looks like I won’t be able to sleep tonight, I can’t forget that drunk guy and you, you stalker!” Selena hissed annoyed.
“I won’t be able to sleep tonight either,” Jonathan answered with meaningful eyes, he looked at Selena’s face with deep eyes.
——
Sarah brought porridge for Michelle. Looks like she took too much porridge. It’s too full on the bowl, not to mention the porridge was very hot. The hands of the 5-year-old little girl look shaking endured the heat, it feels like the journey to the living room feels long.
Michelle massaged her forehead, she saw Sarah’s arrival with slow steps and trembling hands holding a bowl of porridge in hand, but she had no intention of helping. Her eyes followed Sarah’s clumsy movement as she lowered the bowl of porridge onto the table in front of her.
Knock!
the sound of the bowl hitting the glass table, Sarah saw the papers scattered on the floor, without being commanded, she immediately took the initiative to tidy up, she began to pick up the paper one by one on the floor.
“What are you doing?” asked Michele in a deep voice, she didn’t like Sarah hunched over at her feet.
“I’m not telling you to pick up these bills. All these bills are giving me a headache and being sick. Do what I tell you and leave what I don’t! Do you understand what I’m saying!” She shouted with emotion.
“Buy me a painkiller! Didn’t I already order you to buy painkiller medicine! Are you deaf!” Michele shoved her leg on Sarah’s shoulder, the daughter falling on the floor, wincing against her sore ass.
Sarah raised her head, she stared at Michele for a moment.
“What! Why are you glaring at me! You don’t want to obey my orders? Oh, for now, you dare to rebel against me, just like that bastard! You and your father are the same! getting more and more ignorant by the day, you all are just a burden to me, you trash!” Michele kept screaming with a red face.
Sarah didn’t even dare to raise her head.
“Why are you silent, hurry up!” Michelle stood up for a moment, she didn’t see the bowl of porridge in front of her which was accidentally touched by her hand.
The bowl of porridge fell right on Sarah’s shoulders.
“Oh, my God!” Michele screamed in surprise seeing her daughter wince against the heat on her shoulder.
“Good grief Michele, what have you done!” She carried Sarah in her arms to the bathroom, a look of panic on her face.
“Daddy. Dad…” Sarah whispered holding back the pain in her shoulder, she could only cry while groaning for her father.
Michele put Sarah in the bathtub, she turned on the shower and splashed Sarah’s shoulder, she was very worried and scared, After all, Sarah was her biological daughter.
“Dad…” Sarah kept calling her father deliriously.
Michelle panicked even more seeing Sarah’s pale face, the longer she watered Sarah’s body the paler and weaker her daughter’s voice became until Sarah was unconscious.
Michele panicked and frightened, she bit her fingernails.
“Geez, what have I done? What should I do now?” She asked herself, she looked very panicked and desperate, her face was pale too, she had a fever since yesterday.
“I had to call Jonathan, in the end, I had to give in — again, ah, damn it! I didn’t want to call him!” Michele’s voice was muffled, she did refrain from contacting her husband even though she had a fever, her relationship with Jonathan wasn’t so good that she had to report her condition in detail. They had been numb for a long time but still lived together.
Michelle put the shower still on, splashing her daughter who was unconscious in the bathtub. She was about to look for her cell phone in the front room when she found it, her body fell, the random number dialed and connected
Michelle was unconscious.
“Hello, Miss Michele?”
