Forsaken Worlds - Chapter 14 To Cull Trash
Not a breathe had passed since Aima finished speaking when the crowd broke out into an uproar, the lot of them screaming.
“Do you think your the only ones with powers?!?! If all of us come down on you together you wouldn’t stand a chance! Comrades, come, let’s take this place and live merrily!” The first person to start instigating an attack was the man with white hairs, his eyes turning red he soon started to change.
In a moment his body became bigger and he looked towards Foren, staring him down, his eyes showing blood lust, his body swelled to three meters, his muscles becoming hard as steel.
From behind him others also started to transform while others started casting their own spells and a few even started summoning familiars as well as undead.
In under ten seconds the entire group of previously docile people had turned into ravenous wolves bringing out their full might to bear.
“Ingrates.” However contrary to feeling suffocated by the pressure Foren simply smiled his eyes turning to crescents, Noku however did not smile but instead his tail started to wag clearly excited, and finally Aima’s expression did not change even a little, this being scarier than the other two, being able to face down so many enemies with so many powers and yet not change expressions.
After this we’ll become much stronger! Thinking so the three said their own chants and prepared themselves.
“Then fight it is.” The three said in perfect sync, each of their voices sounding different, some excited and others serious.
Not a moment later the battle exploded into action, the blood soldiers broke through the clouds diving straight towards the crowd at insane speeds, slamming into the transformed giants, putting holes straight through them, splattering all over the ground the blood soldiers then re formed and attacked.
The wolves then moved to action launching a wide range of abilities, targeting the mages casting spells in the back.
Foren’s golem used one of the massive boulders and split it in two, swinging both halves all around itself and severely injuring and killing swathes of people.
During all of this Noku, Foren and Aima just stood back and watched as the group was annihilated, feeling the power slowly accumulate inside them, absorbing it patiently.
Though they were using their abilities none of those people had been in a proper battle only running away, the reason they had even dared to do this was because they though that it was just Aima, Noku and Foren, as well as the white haired mans provocation.
Not long after the start of the battle all of the casters had been slaughtered by the wolves, their bodies mangled beyond belief, the wolves themselves taking a few heavy injuries but ultimately getting off without any deaths.
The blood soldiers themselves reformed constantly never running out, they had taken out large chunks out of the flanks of the enemy and now stood in formation, their eyes unwavering.
As for the golem, swinging around the massive boulder had taken down swathes of enemies but because of its slow speed it had also taken a lot of damage becoming the focus of many of the enemy casters and giants, its previously spotless body now riddled with shallow and deep cut marks as well as burns and dents all over.
Despite this they still made quick work of the group of ingrates.
Now only one was left, holding the body of one of his comrades to block the sword of the blood soldier, the white haired man screamed seeing the blade slicing through the body and about to reach himself.
“You will regret this!!!!” In the next second his entire body underwent another transformation and become extremely small, his speed increasing by several times.
Weaving in and out of the crowd of enemies he destroyed several blood soldiers while dodging magic attacks soon getting out of the encirclement, and running straight into the forest with a sudden burst of extreme speed, leaving sight in only a few seconds.
“Snare!” Foren said, his voice booming across the now desolate battle field, vines twice as thick and strong as before the battle reached out of the ground binding the white haired man to the ground.
“Blood Prison.” Aima then dissolved all of the blood soldiers and congealed them into a cage of blood, the aura of malice and death permeating the area, pressuring all living creatures greatly.
“Chaos Barrage.” Finally Noku made his move and congealed tens of small but fast fire arrows, each of them burning with enough heat to burn straight through a solid block of wood with ease.
“Burst!” The moment he had been caught the white haired man broke out into a fury, his body swelling back to its original height, his arms turning a light grey color, putting them out to block the incoming barrage.
“BOOM!” Then the attack landed, over fifty flaming arrows slammed into him in succession, the vines dug even more into his legs at this moment while all his power was focused on his arms, using the vines Foren crushed his legs in that moment of distraction.
Losing his legs the white haired man was thrown flying backwards by the fire arrows straight into the spiked wall of the blood prison, impaled by the multitude of blood spikes he died instantly.
At the same time within the three’s minds a new fire appeared, a marginally weaker fire but still big enough to show some resistance.
In this exact moment that it should resistance the sentries in Foren and Aima’s soul fire moved to action, while Noku’s own wolf dissipated into the darkness surrounding the fires.
The sentries then attacked the soul fire bombarding it with attacks of every kind, wearing it down in an instant.
Trying to resist the soul fire of the white haired man launched its own offensive, splitting itself in half attacking both of the sentries at the same time to hold them off, leaving its main soul undefended.
It was precisely then that it had left itself open to attack that Noku’s wolf came to life in the darkness behind it, striking without delay.
Opening its maw the image shot out a massive fireball, hitting the main body in an instant breaking its innate defense, using that small opening before it could gain its ground again the image bit down hard on the fire, snuffing it out.
Having lost the support of the main body the two who had been split off were quickly taken down and absorbed.
The time it took for all this to happen was less then twenty seconds, and in the next moment each of them reappeared back next to their main body soul fires returning to peace.
Flickering lightly the fires grew a very small amount, an almost minuscule amount.
If we want to get stronger were going to need to fight stronger prey. Thinking so the trio looked at each other and then towards the last twenty people of that group that had decided not to take any sort of action.
“So what will you all do?” Foren said rather relaxedley.
“I am Diane, the leader of this small group here, we had joined up with them on the way here, but we are not with them and after seeing how you destroyed them we would like to join you.” Speaking so Diane directly got down on one knee, the rest behind her following without question, clearly this group had been through life and death with each other putting a great amount of trust in one another.
Once she finished speaking the atmosphere noticeably relaxed greatly, snapping her fingers Aima dissolved the blood prison and ordered her soldiers to clean up the battle field telepathically.
Taking a look at his pack Noku made some gestures with his eyes and they went away, and as for the golem it directly collapsed after the battle, turning into its small form, scars all around its body.
Retrieving it Foren carefully placed it in his sleeve, making a mental note to improve the golems speed in the future.
“Then come with us, we’ll eat while we talk.” Saying so Aima put on her best smile and led the way to the mansion, Noku and Foren following in behind keeping a sharp eye on the group behind them.
A few tense minutes later they arrived at the mansion atop the hill overlooking the rest of the new blood soaked village and battle ravaged fields.
The only place not affected by the battle was the mansion, not a spec of wear and tear could be seen, this being a testament to Aima for managing to keep it so spotless.
They soon reached the dinning hall, inside all of the chairs and plates were already arranged, several blood soldiers standing guard at the corners of the dining hall, these ones being especially created by Aima to be stronger than the rest.
“Then firstly, what has happened to the world, answer to the best of your ability.” Saying so Foren sat at the head of the table with Noku standing behind him his head lazily held above his seat.
Looking around at each other they seemed confused but the lady leader, Diane, answered “…As you know, the voice, or god, had given us these soul fires, causing us to black out, once we all woke up it had been a few minutes and the world had already turned into something completely…different.”
“I was in my home to the north of here when it happened, hearing the screaming and chaos outside i looked out and then turned on the t.v, thankfully they still hadn’t gone down and I managed to get a snippet of info after fiddling with it for over half an hour.”
“The people on the news said that according to their information all around the world monsters had appeared, major capitals everywhere were under attack if not already fallen all in under thirty minutes, people everywhere having special abilities.”
“They also said that according to the satellite image beamed down before the satellite mysteriously burned out, our world had moved and grown, we are no longer in the same solar system we were in before, and our planet had more then quadrupled in size, large swathes of undiscovered land appeared.”
“Nature and beasts of all kinds then soon took over the city i was in, after that I left and headed to go find family but to no avail they were… not as fortunate, on my way going around looking for them however I was lucky enough to find these few companions of mine and then just a few days ago we saw the fire storm and heard the human voice so we headed here.”
“On our way here we actually met several hordes of skeletons moving around in the forest to the south, amassing a few days ago, seemingly moving this way, that’s all I know.” Finished speaking she took a few deep breathes.
“Skeletal hordes to the south? It couldn’t be…” Noku said suddenly spinning around and looking to the south, the color draining from his face.
“What is it…” Turning around to look out the window Foren soon cut him self off standing up abruptly.
Aima glanced that way and had already started forming up all the blood soldiers in formation around the makeshift walls.
“Golems, go! Rise, dead ones!” Suddenly Foren blasted open the windows with his voice and yelled out, all around the fields golems then started to rise from the ground, stone golems that previously looked like random rocks from small to massive ten meter tall creations.
At the same time all around the area skeletons of beast and human alike rose from the ground in the hundreds, totaling five hundred skeletal soldiers as well as a contingent of thirty golems all over two meters tall.
Flicking his sleeve the previously severely injured five meter tall golem also shot out taking control of the other golems.
“Awoo!!!” Noku then howled summoning his pack, the wolves who had just gotten out of battle came to the main force taking positions on the flanks.
Aima having summoned all of her blood soldiers sent them up to the clouds were they couldn’t be seen, creating a single hundred at double the power of the previous two hundred.
This all happened in less than ten seconds, only then did the rest at the table have time to register what was happening.
Looking over their faces similarly paled.
Out the window the forces of the trio were standing ready to fight but this did not make them pale, rather the massive horde of skeletons that were outside appearing out of the woodwork.
Nearing fifty thousand at just first glance, the skeletons felt like an over powering horde, each of them clearly higher quality than the previous ones.
But even this was not what made them pale, they could escape from those kind of slow skeletons, what made them pale was the pressure, the pressure of that sinister being walking through the sky above the skeletal horde, getting closer and closer, its pressure suffocating.
The trio then flashed outside arriving in the field in front of the horde and in a few seconds taking their own positions.
Charging up as many spells as possible Noku took position hiding within the woods ready to ambush, but seemingly as though having x-ray vision looked straight at Noku sending shivers down his spine, dodging instinctively a cold wind passed right by his head shaving off a small amount of fur from his ear.
“Charge!” Giving out his order the horde charged and the being in the sky using his staff as a chair sat down to watch the two armies about to collide with a slight smile on his face.
“Rip them to shreds!” just like this their own army charged forward with the golems as the vanguard and the wolves for flanking using the skeletons as shields while attacking.
At the same time in the sky the hundred blood soldiers congealed blood arrows and fired them down out of the sky, with their enhanced vision their accuracy was increased a few times.
“Fierce Blood Burst!” It was also then that the twenty new comers arrived at the battle field, one of the men immediately transformed into a hulking five meter mass of muscle, the huge sword on his back suddenly seeming more to size.
The rest of the group all soon transformed and spread out charging forward.
In this way the battle started.
