From Dusk till Dawn! - Chapter 432
“We have been a bother to you these days,” Lan Xifan smiled apologetically.
Tang Li shook her head, “Not you. Just your sister.”
Lan Xingyu glared at her before looking at Mo Yuhan. Her first crush, her first love slipped right under her nose. This vixen has completely charmed him.
Her brother poked her arm. “What?” Her head snapped in his direction.
“Apologize.”
“I won’t-” Lan Xingyu paused, “I will. I will apologize,” She quickly glanced at Mo Yuhan, “President Mo, how about I treat you to dinner as a proper apology?”
Lan Xifan had the urge to give her a tight slap. Why was she so man crazy when it came to Mo Yuhan? Can’t she just get over this puppy love? She already had many men in her life but she is still obsessed with this particular man.
“I’m not interested in dinners with business partners,” Mo Yuhan spoke with a straight face.
“What are you interested in, President Mo? We can accommodate accordingly,” He was speaking. He was speakkng to her. Lan Xingyu could barely control her smile. Maybe there is still a chance. A teeny tiny chance?
“I’m interested in anything that revolves around my wife,” Mo Yuhan noncholantly said, raking his fingers through his hair. He glanced at Tang Li, “Shall we go on a dinner date?”
Lan Xingyu: “_” Who am I? Where am I? Why am I?
Lan Xifan: “_” You were asking for this, sis.
Tang Li speechlessly glanced Mo Yuhan, “Sure, we can go,” She replied after some time.
…
Later that day.
After the Lan siblings left, Tang Li and Mo Yuhan did not get the chance to go their respective works as they were summoned back to Mo Manor.
“Long time no see,” Su Yahui ran towards Tang Li.
“Why is mom so enthusiastic?” Mo Yuhan stepped to the side, giving some way to the woman who dashed at his wife like a tornado before sweeping her in a hug.
Mo Chen shook his head, “It’s between them anyways. Why are you getting worried?”
“She can be scary at times,” Mo Yuhan glanced at his mother who was busy pinching his wife’s cheeks.
Mo Chen laughed.
Su Yahui pinched Tang Li’s cheeks as she smothered her with kisses.
Tang Li’s face turned red slightly as she looked at Mo Yuhan for rescue but the ruthless man just shrugged.
“Oh, my babydoll, look at you. You have gotten so chubby and cute,” The woman said.
Tang Li blinked as she looked at her mother-in-law, “Chubby? Cute?” Did she gain weight.
Su Yahui nodded, “You did not notice it?”
Tang Li glanced at Mo Yuhan in disbelief. A few days ago, she did ask him about it but the man said she was overthinking. And he even said that she has lost some weight. She easily trusted him and took it as her illusion, “You noticed it right?” She glared at Mo Yuhan accusingly. He has been feeding her with all kinds of homemade delicacies and she realized she should have checked her weight instead of asking him.
Mo Yuhan cleared his throat as he averted his gaze awkwardly.
“Yuhan, you…” Tang Li speechlessly gazed at the man who appeared guilty.
Su Yahui glanced at her husband and pointed her chin at the couple.
Mo Chen shrugged. How was he supposed to interfere in a couple’s fight? And that too, when a woman’s weight is involved in it. He knew better to stay far away from it.
Su Yahui narrowed her eyes as she pointed at the floor before making a sleeping sign with her right hand.
Mo Chen stiffened. Was she threatening to have him sleep on the floor if he didn’t save her son?
He quickly glanced at Mo Yuhan, “Son, you were asking me about something.”
Tang Li frowned, “Dad-”
“Princess, I missed my so much. Do you have the heart to interrupt out reunion?”
The corner of her lips twitched.
Mo Yuhan nodded, “Dad, why did you call us here so urgently?”
The man paused, “Because-”
“Am I late, Brother?”
Mo Chen turned his head to look at the man standing at the entrance. He smiled and walked towards him, “Of course not. You are on time. The kids just reached,” Both the men hugged each other.
Tang Li noticed how Mo Yuhan’s face darkened the moment his eyes laid on the man.
“Sister in law,” The middle aged bearded man walked towards Su Yahui, “Long time no see.”
“Indeed, it has been a long time,” Su Yahui spoke nonchalantly, unlike her bubbly self from before.
Sister-in-law? Tang Li’s brows tugged together in contemplation. That means, this man is the Second Master Mo. Her father-in-law’s younger brother and Mo Yuhan’s uncle.
The man then turned to look at Mo Yuhan, “My dear nephew,” He walked towards him with extended arms.
Mo Yuhan stepped back, “Uncle,” He greeted the man with an aloof expression on his face.
The man’s jaw visibly ticked.
Tang Li raised an eyebrow. No wonder Grandpa Mo always said that Mo Yuhan is a reflection of his mother at times. When they don’t like the person in front of them, there will always be that chilly aura around them along with those cold expressions that would be enough to scare someone off.
Mo Jia and Mo Zihan on the other hand have received their father’s gentle and happy-go-lucky genes. Although Mo Jia is usually stoic, but that makes her appear cute, not unapproachable and the same goes for Mo Zihan too. Tang Li rarely saw him acting cold or detached with anyone. Until and unless the matter is that severe, he will always be his usual cheerful self.
“Is that a way to greet your Uncle?” Mo Chen frowned.
“I would have preferred to skip this lunch if I was aware that you were having guests,” Mo Yuhan coldly said.
“He is not a guest,” Mo Chen walked towards his son, “He. Is. Your. Uncle. Greet him properly,” He warned with his eyes.
Mo Yuhan was unfazed, “What if I don’t?”
“You-”
“Brother, don’t…” Second Master Mo quickly walked towards the father-son duo, “Youngsters are hot-headed now-a-days. We are meeting after almost a year. Let him get used to it and then he can call me Uncle…”
