From Dusk till Dawn! - Chapter 433
“I don’t entertain unnecessary relatives,” Mo Yuhan interrupted him as stepped closer to the man, easily towering him with his well-built body and dominant aura, “Moreover, your name will be gone from the registry pretty soon,” He spoke in a voice only two of them can hear.
Second Master Mo, Mo Liang frowned. His face gradually darkened but he schooled his expressions soon.
Tang Li glanced at Mo Yuhan before looking at her well manicured nails. She was feeling a little grumpy and neglected. Why was he not looking at her anyway?
As if he could feel her grievous stare on him, Mo Yuhan walked towards her before wrapping an arm around her waist.
Her face lit up but a moment later, she found herself speechless at her antics. Why was she acting like a teenager in love?
“This is my daughter-in-law, Tang Li. The gra-”
“My wife,” Mo Yuhan interrupted his father.
Mo Chen’s brows tugged together as he glanced at his son disappointedly. Why was this man becoming so childish day by day?
”Oh,” Mo Liang glanced at Tang Li uninterestedly, “You are the one my nephew chose for the position of the Young Mistress of Mo Family?”
To Mo Chen, his younger brother’s voice sounded just normal.
But Mo Yuhan, Su Yahui and Tang Li did not miss the hint of mocking intent in his voice.
“She is the one who chose me to be her man.”
The place turned silent almost immediately and Tang Li could sense the ice in the atmosphere. “Can we have our lunch? I am hungry,” She glanced at Mo Chen with pleading eyes.
“Alright, princess. It’s time for lunch,” The man smiled at her dotingly.
As they went to the dining table, Mo Yuhan pulled a chair for her.
“Are you going somewhere?” Tang Li looked at him question.
“Start the lunch. I’ll come back after attending a call,” Mo Yuhan pressed a soft kiss on her forehead. He gave his mother a small nod before walking upstairs to his room in the Mo Manor.
The atmosphere around the dining table was unusually frigid as Tang Li lowered her head in contemplation.
Mo Yuhan obviously interrupted his father on purpose when the man was introducing her to Mo Liang, his uncle.
But why? Mo Bao is Mo Liang’s daughter and after she got to know her identity as the CEO of Ash Corps, there was no way Mo Bao would forget to tell her father about this. Because not only she was the CEO of Ash Corps, she also had some shares in Mo Empires. Why would Mo Bao not tell her father about all this unless Mo Yuhan had a hand in it?
Tang Li frowned. He supposedly did not want his uncle to know about her royalty which is why he interrupted his father the moment her grandfather was about to be mentioned.
“I recognize you to be honest,” Mo Liang spoke up as he looked at her.
Tang Li snapped out of her daze as she looked at him, “I’d be surprised if you didn’t.”
“You are President Tang Yichen’s sister if I’m not wrong,” The man said.
“Indeed,” She nodded. She already expected this. He might not know about her identity as the heiress of the Tang Family or the CEO of Ash Corporations, but he should be well aware of the matter that
“Even if you are Tang Yichen’s sister, you are still unworthy to become the daughter-in-law of a royal family,” came a woman’s voice that had everyone’s attention.
Mo Chen frowned slightly at her wordings, “Sister-in-law, you-”
“Come on, brother-in-law, we had to go through many more trials from your mother when we married into this family,” The woman walked towards them before taking a seat beside her husband, “So, you should not stop me from playing a cruel mother-in-law.”
Mo Chen laughed, realizing that she was just acting.
Tang Li glanced at her. Sister-in-law? That means this woman must be Mo Liang’s wife and Mo Bao’s mother, Mo Yi.
“You should play a cruel mother-in-law on your son-in-law when Baobao is married,” Su Yahui uninterestedly spoke as she stabbed her form in the salad, “Neither me nor my babygirl like such ridiculous jokes.”
Mo Chen frowned as he kicked her under the table.
Su Yahui raised an eyebrow at him before she stomped on his foot ruthlessly.
“Baobao is still young,” The woman said.
”Young people are really impulsive, sister-in-law. I was reading a news a few days ago how a young girl tried to get her cousin into committing incest. Your girl usually hovers around my Yuhan all day long. I am afraid her mind and intentions might slip due to age and hormones. So, you should start looking for a man for her.”
Tang Li pursed her lips to stifle her laughter. She loved her mother-in-law and there was no doubt in it.
There was an awkward silence around the dining table as everyone there knew about Mo Bao’s feelings towards Mo Yuhan. Although nobody talked about it out aloud to not ruin the girl’s reputation, but the matter was not hidden to anyone.
Back in the time when Mo Yuhan was engaged to Meng Zhilan, Mo Bao got drunk and caused a ruckus regarding their engagement. Later on, she was punished by Old Master Mo for having such indecent thoughts towards her brother.
“Well, Baobao was young and impulsive back then. Time teaches everything and she has matured now,” Mo Liang spoke up thinking back to how his daughter’s attitude has completely changed since almost one year. She just stays isolated in her room without taking to anyone after Mo Yuhan fired her from the post of assistant from Mo Empires. She did not speak to him about anything or any cause behind Mo Yuhan’s decision. And when he tried to investigate it, all tracks were covered by Mo Yuhan by that time. “Moreover, you should really focus on your daughter-in-law. Don’t be offended but it is a fact that she does not have royal blood in her veins. What would people say when they get to know that she has married into our family?”
“Even if she is the heiress of Tang Family or Song Family, nothing could change the fact that she doesn’t deserves to stand beside Yuhan given that Tangs and Songs are no longer as powerful as us.”
Tang Li tilted her head upwards to look at the woman. Her gaze turned cold as her expressions shifted ever so slightly.
“Why does it matters to you? Neither you are the mistress of this family nor is your husband is the Master so don’t speak in such matters unless you are asked to,” Mo Yuhan descended the stairs as he spoke. He glanced at his mother, “We will be leaving now.’”
Mo Liang and his wife both fumed at his audacious words but they did not have the courage to go against Mo Yuhan in open as he was the one who held all the powers in the Mo Family.
Su Yahui sighed, “Alright. You both take care of yourselves. I will visit you later.”
Mo Yuhan pulled Tang Li’s chair and she stood up. She glanced at him for a few seconds before looking back at the food, “But I want to eat this…”
Everyone was speechless. So many arguments and wars have flashed within the conversations. Was she focusing on the food all this time?
“I can make better food for you,” Mo Yuhan whispered.
Tang Li was reluctant, “Chocolate cake?”
“Yes.”
“And pancakes.”
“Mm.”
She nodded at him, “Alright, let’s go then.”
“You both can leave after having lunch with us,” Mo Chen suggested.
“Not interested,” Mo Yuhan replied within a beat, “Invite us over when you don’t have guests to attend.”
