From Dusk till Dawn! - Chapter 434
The next day.
As Tang Li descended the stairs, her gaze landed on the man who was sitting on the couch with a dark expression on his face. “What is it?” She asked him.
“Come here,” He thrust out a hand towards her.
She glanced at his outstretched hand before placing hers in it as he pulled her to his lap, “You look stressed,” She smoothened the frown between his brows with her fingers, “Sometimes, I feel very guilty. You already have a lot of burden on your shoulders. The Mo Family, Mo Empires, your employees and everything related to all of these,” Unlike Tang Family where it was only her, her brother and her grandpa, Mo Family had many issues that ran deeper like Mo Yuhan’s uncle’s family who are no less than demons waiting for a chance to pounce on the company,” And amidst all this, I have just been another trouble to you.”
“Shhh…” He placed a finger on her lips, “I’d love to have troubles if you are one.”
She slapped his chest as a blush crept up her cheeks, ”You…are so sleek.”
“Am I?” He charmingly raised an eyebrow.
“Mmm…” She kissed his forehead, “Now tell me, what got you so stressed early in the morning?”
“Look at this woman,” Mo Yuhan handed her his iPad.
“She is…?” Tang Li frowned looking at the old picture and the graceful woman in it.
“The one both Grandpa Song and Grandpa Tang had an affair with,” Mo Yuhan replied.
Tang Li laughed, “Phrase it better. Both the old men would be provoked by this topic,” She shook her head.
“There are not here so we can discuss,” replied Mo Yuhan, ”Does she looks familiar to you?”
Tang Li glanced back at the picture, “She….” She thought hard about it, “I think most of her features resembles your Aunt.”
“Yes.”
Had it been a small resemblance, they might not have noticed it but the resemblance was too big to miss.
“Do you think they are related?”
“Let’s ask uncle about it,” Mo Yuhan sighed as he placed the iPad on the table.
“Are we going to Song Mansion?” She blinked. The atmosphere there was pretty depressing after all those revelations and everything.
“Yes.”
“But I am hungry,” She hooked her arms around his neck.
“We had breakfast a few minutes ago,” He raised an eyebrow while wrapping his arms around her waist.
”I just want ice-cream,” She kissed the tip of his nose.
He caught her lips in a hard kiss as he sucked her tongue. Their lips parted only she was completely breathless. She buried her face in his neck.
“Then, let’s get you fed. Don’t blame me for gaining weight,” He pushed himself to his feet while still carrying her.
Her legs instinctively encircled around his muscular waist, “But I am going to blame you,” She pouted.
He chuckled, “Whatever suits you. I don’t mind.”
Later that day in the Songs’ Mansion.
“Uncle, you have to accept it. For whatever reason it was, you were lied to. You are not Grandpa’s illegitimate son and there are countless evidences pointing at it. You just can’t go on denying it,” Tang Li shook her head as she sat beside the man on the couch.
Mo Yuhan sat beside his wife quietly.
“I am not denying it. I have already come to accept it,” Song Tianyi calmly said with his eyes still closed.
Tang Li glanced at Mo Yuhan helplessly, not knowing how to deal with the situation.
“Then, why are you not accepting your family?” Both Tang Li and Mo Yuhan turned towards the source of the voice as they saw Tang Yichen standing near the door.
Tang Li quickly dashed towards him as she pounced on the man.
Tang Yichen staggered a few steps back but he stabilized himself. He glanced at his over-enthusiastic sister before hugging her back, “You missed me?”
“I did,” She pursed her lips, “But you are so busy with work and sister-in-law and I am also busy with my work so I did not get the chance to contact you.”
Tang Yichen stroked the back of her head, not forgetting to flash a smug smile at a certain direction.
Mo Yuhan’s lips twitched ‘I have a sister too’ he mouthed.
Tang Yichen narrowed his eyes, “Hello, brother-in-law,” The fox immediately switched his expressions before this man started to bother his wife.
The corner of his lips tugged up, ”Hey,” replied Mo Yuhan.
Tang Li’s gaze went back and forth between them before she tugged at her brother’s hand and pointed her chin towards their uncle.
Tang Yichen raised an eyebrow, “Hello Uncle, it’s your nephew here.”
“I am fond nieces and daughters, not sons or nephews or son-in-laws or nephew-in-laws,” The man indifferently said.
Mo Yuhan narrowed his eyes, “You don’t get to bargain on that.”
“Yes, we come in combo offers,” Tang Yichen flashed a foxy smile, “You must accept us too,” He shamelessly settled on the couch beside his newfound uncle.
“You are just as irritating as your father,” Song Tianyi calmly said.
“Oh, glad to know that. We share genes though. I must have gotten some of yours too.”
“Humph.”
Tang Li was speechless. Are they here to sort out the problem or to provoke him more?
“Uncle, do you know Mo Yuhan’s aunt, Mo Yi?” She raised an eyebrow when her uncle’s expressions shifted almost immediately.
So, it is likely that their guess was on point.
“Sister has nothing to do with all this so don’t get her involved in it.”
Tang Li and Mo Yuhan exchanged glances while Tang Yichen raised an eyebrow at them, not understanding where this was going.
…
“I can’t believe this. So, that woman had a daughter with another man and still she acted so vengeful and used Uncle,” Tang Li was speechless. Was marrying into a royal family was so important that she got this desperate? What is up with people being so greedy anyway?”
Mo Yuhan had one of his hand on the steering wheel while his other hand grabbed hers, intertwining their fingers, “Not everyone thinks as straight as you. People have goals, be it men or women,” He softly said, “I have seen men seducing women from rich families to establish a foothold there and it goes vice-versa.”
“I know but it is just ridiculous. Because of her actions, all of us had to suffer this much,” She sighed, “She had a family, a daughter. She could have lived her life happily but she took Uncle with herself under a false façade that he was dead and incited him against his family with all those lies that she fed him. This is selfish and cruel. Anyways, you think your Aunt is not involved in any of this?”
Mo Yuhan glanced at her, “Though Uncle said that but she is not someone that should be trusted.”
Tang Li sighed again as she leaned back on the seat.
